Sandy Springs Inn - Atlanta Perimeter

This hotel was under massive construction and should not have guests there. The whole place was a wreck. Two 6-ft holes by the front desk, massive pile of boards and debris, the room was dirty, gross and smelled bad. Do not stay here.

That we went there to rest after driving 900 miles from Texas. There were construction going on that site.no water after midnight. Room was not clean.i had to cancel the booking spend whole night to looking hotel that busy day night

Locating this property was good and the location was even better The room smelled like weed. Almost like it wasn’t cleaned. The hole place was under construction so it was a train wreck

I liked the location, staff was friendly, and the price was fair (just not under its conditions). there were several holes on the wall both in the bathroom and bedroom. there was a massive reconstruction, so nothing on the images matched what you walked into. also, i kept fighting baby roaches all night. i booked two nights and left the next stay. i understand they’re making changes, but that hotel should NOT be rented out in that condition. hopefully no one sues than for false advertisement.

Great location. Easy to find. Wasn't expecting a great deal for the price. Building undergoing renovations. Entrance Foyer was muddy from construction work. Room furniture was shabby. Bath tub had damage and inadequate repairs. Sauna was locked. Pool water was green.

This is so bad it should be shut down. I have seen truckstop bathrooms cleaner than this place. I was horrified and it’s under construction as it should be, but even with the construction, the bathrooms have mold toilets cracked mud and dirt everywhere no housekeeping absolutely nothing and a smell I would not wish my worst enemy to stay in a place like this honest to God and I feel sorry for the front desk attendant because there’s nothing that he could do. He should really just find another job entirely. This place is dirty misleading and I’m sure that there are a lot of health and Cole violations here. I looked at the reviews and some said that they were great, but I am convinced that those are bots or the people who own the property making it look like you know people enjoyed staying there no it is absolutely horrendous a nightmare, and I’m so surprised because it’s in Sandy Springs.

The hotel is currently under construction, there was the smell of raw sewage. Their still operational while under construction. Our room smelled like sewage one full day. The television service was really bad. They don't have phone service nor a ice machine. They advertise breakfast but they really dont offer breakfast. The ceilings have water damage the bathroom counters were broken. Just shouldn't be in business.

Although property is going under renovation the staff is supportive of any needs you may have while staying at Sandy Springs Inn, formerly Comfort Inn. Thanks Amy for being AWESOME! (Front Desk and hope they make her manager soon) *No Breakfast served only coffee in the lobby area 24/7. *WiFi....Many issues with staying up and ready. It would kick off to my data plan without me knowing what was going on. *Items missing in rooms...Coffee maker, Iron, hair dryer, art work, etc.. *French door glass is not clean in any of the rooms I stayed in. Walls banged up, repainted and stains, some rooms carpet is badly stained. But it's getting a makeover now... so look for this place in the summer around the Sandy Springs/City Springs area. New vitalized area of North Atlanta

Ive stayed at this property while on assignment for almost a month straight and it was convenient. Ive gotten different rooms in that time and stayed for the price when it was cheaper. To start it smells musty like a wet dog when you walk in. The rooms often times have an odor that accompanies them. Make sure to use your dead bolt as someone else was given my room key late in the night and nothing was done about it the assistant pretended like it never happened. If you leave anything behind it’s gone the number on their website isn’t their real number. Some of the rooms seem like some one shot a brutal adult film, as there are fluid and blood stains on the wall. The worse room still had a condom under the bed. Depending on the time of day you get different staff members the day ones seem to care more as when I told the night one about the state of the room I was given he acted like he couldn’t give me another one. I know you get what you pay for but it’s not worth much going there.

It was awful … the tv didn’t work and the room was out dated although the hot water was amazing and the bed was comfy.. it was blood on the balcony and the door was rigged… hotel needs major maintenance and repairing.

Was real ghetto sink was hanging not working they tried to tape the sink back but made it worse, stains everywhere and bed had old sheets with yellow stains on it do not book it

Beds were clean. Room had structure issues. Can tell very much it’s an OLD hotel with new fave lift. Has a pool but I wouldn’t suggest swimming in it.

Causing me a lot of problems in stress.. He unlocked my phone for me, which was lifesaving. My wallet dropped out of my jackets on the way outside to the bench to smoke. It had a hundred and eighty dollars cash in there.That with all the money I had left the last 14 the rest of the month. He took the time to try to help me find it all too.No avail. However, this morning, he knocked on my door and handed me the wallet.It had all my cards in there.Even though the money was gone. How bush every motel had an employee like this man. I don't not think he realizes how much I appreciated his help. And how he went above and beyond to help me was his kindness and concern

This place was a dump. Whole place smelled like mold, weed, damp carpets, etc. Stains all over the room, cigarette burns, grody window dressing, a chair caked in who knows what, handy man special patch job on the ceiling, useless Wi-Fi, furniture with it's finishes worn through, RUSTY LAMPS, I can keep going. To top it off, the elevator that had alarms sounding since day 1 failed half way though my stay sending me up and up and down 3 flights of stairs with a bummed knee. staff was pretty much non-existent without knocking or calling out loud for them.

He looked at my id and said nothing to me the entire time he clicked on the computer and then handed me my room card and told me the room number. This Comfort Inn was the dirtiest property I’ve ever seen. The lobby was dirty, the room was filthy and the area where the breakfast is served was so dirty it was almost inedible. I have stayed at Comfort Inn hotels before and I have never had this problem.

The bed sheets had stains, there was trash on the floor, there was still food residue in the mini fridge, the microwave was missing the plate, and a very strong chemical smell in the room had ill effects on my sinuses. The room rate was very good, but in the future I would be willing to pay more for a better experience and an actual decent night's sleep

We did not stay long enough to eat breakfast. The conditions in the room dod not make me feel like breakfast would be prepared correctly. The photos online dod not match the actual room we recieved. The management (nighttime especially) were so accommodating and responsive. They really went out of their way to make sure you had what you needed and any questions you have are answered. No bugs at all. Rooms are a little out dated but still well worth the money. Balcony is in every room. Smart TVs so stream instead of watch cable with commercials. Hot breakfast every single morning. Fitness room. Pool.

No laundry was available, the room wasnt up to code like the frig leaked water outside the frig and inside damaging food. The flooring was so dirty it stuck to your socks. The balcony door was poorly closed and wouldnt lock. The air coming through the door wasnt nice at all. The bathroom was unsanitary inhad to clean with ammonia and clorox the tub was cracking and it really didnt fit how it was supoose to and no stopper to take a bath. No cleaning services which advertised daily and laundry you dont get your towels washed daily.

The hotel is not well kept. Starting with the outside entrance there are wall sidings falling apart. Inside the room the bathtub was cracked, and the carpet was wet. The mattress is worn out, not very comfortable. it supposed to be a non-smoking facility, and the cigarette smell is terrible in the hallways. The staff is very courteous.

Easy check in, desk staff was nice. Room was perfect and even had a small balcony, bfast had exactly what we needed. The linens were nice and tv was adequate. I don’t normally leave reviews but his process was easy and stress free so I’m pleased more than I usually am.

Did not feel secure because I was on the basement floor of the hotel. The door was old and had the typical hotel swing lock, but there was also a deadbolt. There was another door, french door with no stay in-place bolt for one of the glass doors. Too many gaps around the door allowing pests to enter. There was a smell/odor in the hotel room. The air conditioning was on so I turned it off due to the cold outside temperature. The odor becomes more noticeable. I woke up the next morning with a headache. Someone stole my shades from the room. Need more indoor and outdoor cameras, replace the old in shampooed carpets and replace the doors, sanitize the hotel rooms with a bleach agent. Not the expected Comfort Inn experience.

The weather was fine. It could’ve been a little bit warmer. This is my second review for the same hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it. I was there to visit my son in the hospital, so it served his purpose. However, the patio door didn’t close all the way you can still see outside The bathroom. You can see the pictures the rugs had. I’m sorry carpets had several stains the furniture that they show in the pictures are far more extremely worn than which shown the hallways were gross. You can see three different types of paint barely any touchups on we were on the fifth floor the fifth floor the fourth floor Neither one of them had icemakers had to go to the first floor or icemaker had to request for towels every day first day of arrival, they had a caution tape all the way across and a big dumpster out so he had to walk around the dumpster and under the caution tape Tried to reach Front Desk for two nights no answer i’m saying this sorry so there are no periods. The place was really sketchy the bathroom the toilet seat when you sat down and moved I tried to tighten it. I couldn’t tighten it because it wouldn’t tighten and it was still loose like if you just sat down on it the wrong way it would break off. I was disappointed we were gonna go to another hotel but we didn’t want to take the time away from seeing our son in the hospital to move rooms with all of our stuff.

When we went to check in there was nobody there no way to get in touch with staff because all phone calls went to the empty front desk. Eventually somebody came and was very short with us when we tried to ask questions and read consents. Got to the room and it was dirty, smelled like mildew, and had dirty water pooled on the floor between the kitchen and bathroom. We left and went to a different place

This place was GROSS! My shower had used washcloth hanging in shower. And hair! As if they just didn’t clean the bathroom! Towels were not tidy. AC unit was filthy! This hotel is disgusting. When I saw the condition of the room, I left and checked into another hotel out of fear of bedbugs. I was scared to touch anything — the carpet, curtains, and side chair were so gross, and the smell was unbearable. It was clear they had sprayed chemicals everywhere to try to cover it up. Just spend an extra $20-$40 and find somewhere decent not worth the risk.

Once to my door lots of scratched paint and dirt. I went inside to see holes in the walls, roaches, stained mattresses,and mold in the bathroom above the shower-I took pictures of everything . I traveled from Texas (driving) and it was late so I had no Time to hurry and grab another hotel.

The room was in the basement, smelled moldy and musty. Mattresses were stained with blood / urine. There was a sliding door that gave access to a back unsafe looking alley? Clearly needs new management/ owners. This hotel needs a major upgrade and housekeeping. There are clear signs of rats, bedbugs and roaches.

This hotel was a disaster!! It smelled like marijuana. People were smoking it all day and night. The pictures online didn’t match the hotel at alll!! Things were falling apart left and right. I was not pleased at all and you all should really pay attention to who and what is representing your company! The pictures does it no justice abs quite frankly I would like a partial refund for my stay.

The room was very dirty asked them to come clean , they did not have towels had to use the same towels everyday during the stay . No cleaning services came by the room to ask if we needed anything . We killed 3 bugs in the room. Overall a very nasty place for sure . Looked nothing like the website

Roaches inside the rooms old linen terrible experience

The room was clean but they put stained sheets and comforter on the bed and wasn’t helpful with changing them. The staff wasn’t pleasant but one person I dont remember her name but she was nice. The pool was dirty and I had to clean the cigarette buds out. The parking was okay I didn’t have an issue with that. I would not recommend the stay the bed was super uncomfortable. If you plan to stay this is really an after thought and not really a great stay for no more than 2 days top.

This place is ABSOLUTELY FKN DISGUSTING! -10/10. The air conditioning unit had mold in it and we couldn’t even HARDLY BREATHE with it running. Dirty sheets , dirty pillowcases, a DISGUSTING TUB. I couldn’t even SHOWER because the tub was so NASTY. You people shouldn’t even be allowing people to book here until you complete renovations and proper hygiene. & all he said was “I can bring you some new sheets”. I’m highly disappointed and this is unacceptable.

Stayed there a couple of years ago and it was ok. This time the place has deteriorated and the elevators didn’t work.

The TV in my room was broken and WiFi was spotty. My partner got stuck in the elevator during our stay due to malfunctioning. The hotel is in a great area, but us definitely due for some major renovations.

The door on the elevator made noise and the lights not all work and the ice machine on the floor didn't work add to go down to the first floor to get ice

Do not stay here! None of the amenities are open to use, the rooms have roaches, the tub is disgusting, there was hair on the walls, fridge was broken. And to make matters worst if you come as a single woman or a single mother like myself you have male staff members in the front desk that make you so uncomfortable, this man kept telling me over and over how “pretty I am” and asking me “what’s your plans for the night” and when i repeatedly said I have nothing plan just to be in the room with my kids he stated he just wanted some time with me, this interaction anytime I walked out to the front to grab a food delivery or went outside to talk on my phone and have a smoke break. And with the latch being broken in the room I got zero to no sleep. Never again!

This hotel just feels like it’s going out of business, the amount of stuff in that hotel that needs to be fixed. I had a clean bed and hot shower, that’s all that mattered. But they want waaaay to much to stay at that place.

Bad smell, looks like it was awesome once upon a time with all rooms having a balcony and sauna adjacent the workout room. Lastly, something made Me itch horribly after I took a nap upon getting there. They played a Lil trick on Me. Seems they put down carpet freshener and lowered the temperature thus making the smell unnoticeable... Breakfast was cool.

The hotel staff were super helpful and nice. The hotel is a reck… broken bathroom ceiling, broke. Sink. Dirty carpet walls and curtains.

smelled horrible in the first room we got like mildew it was so strong and the man knew it before we did we had to request a new room the new room was better as far as smell wise but it still didn’t feel safe to shower, brush my teeth, or even lay on the sheets even the elevator completely stopped working and someone was stuck in there

There is nothing good about this place

First I asked for a refund through Expedia. The hotel had no smoking but my room had a smoke haze. The bed sheets had stains and cigarette burns in them. The door keypad didn’t work so my door open freely without a lock. The wall had stains on them. It rained that night and it leaked in the lobby. I left within 2 mins being in my room. Still waiting for my refund with expedia

I enjoyed my stay here. Room was clean and cozy. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staff is nice. Rooms are a bit outdated and worn down. Heard some scratching in the walls usually associated with mice or rats, but have never laid eyes so I wont say for certain. Location is pretty great, lots of stores and nice restaurants in downtown Sandy Springs, which is one of the main reasons I stay here. They offer breakfast, which is appreciated. Its nothing fancy but it's there. Decent property.

The staff was EXTREMELY rude. Kept hanging up the phone every time you called ! When we came to check in nobody was at the desk and personal information was on the counters. After driving from out of town this is NOT the place to go. These people are VERY unfriendly and uninviting. If I didn’t have my baby with me, I would’ve been better off sleeping in my car. A waste of 90 bucks! I washed & left faster than I could type this review! You definitely get what you pay for here. TRASH. This is what I get for being cheap. NEVER AGAIN !

The front desk staff was rude. The room was dirty with smudges all over the doors, walls, light switches, etc. The AC unit was disgusting with so much dirt and dust in the filter. I left the balcony door open just to let fresh air in even though it was 95°. There was visible hair stuck in the drain in the bathroom sink. The pool was open, but had no lawn lounge chairs available. They were stacked along the corner of the wall, covered in dirt from sitting all winter. I was originally placed on the ground floor with a balcony that opened to the ground that was covered in rocks and trash, and the simple lock on the door made me feel so unsafe. I asked them to move me to a higher floor.

This property needs to be closed down, and the owner complete a total remodel. There is no way that based upon location of town and price, that this property should continue operating without a total remodel.

Used towel found behind bathroom door. I booked a non-smoking room but got the opposite. the smell in the room was so strong, I had to open the door and turn on the ac to the lowest temp to be able to breathe. Hallways, and the elavator had an odor. the bathroom was patched with different color paint. The sink drain was very slow, the tub water fixture about to fall off. The front desk employee was not friendly.

Worse Comfort hotel I have ever stayed in. Very nice people, but the room condition was terrible. First time I have every regretted staying at a Comfort Hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for #3 nights. The location is great, easy access to 285, the staff was friendly and the room was pretty big, clean, and has a balcony and workstation. The hotel is dated, and needs a little TLC (renovation) however, but for the price, I was satisfied.

The hotel need to be shut down. Drug infested, dirty hotel it smelled like marijuana. The chair was covered with stains. The bed was okay. The hallways walls were dirty.

When I initially checked in, I was given a room on the 5th floor. The key did not work. I went back down to the front desk and the keys were re-programmed. I went back to the 5th floor. The second set of keys did not work. I went back to the front desk and the front desk clerk programmed new key but came back to the fifth floor with me to try the keys. They did not work. She then moved me to a room on the first floor. She made sure the keys worked. I went into the room, unpacked, and got settled. I turned on the tv but it did not work. There was a “No Signal” message on the screen. I called down to the front desk and spoke to the same person who checked me in. I asked her questions about the tv to make sure I wasn’t doing anything wrong. She then hung up on me. I called back to the front desk several times. She did not answer. I went back down to the front desk. She then said bc it was so late in the evening (about 7:00pm at this point) there was no maintenance man there to see what the problem was with the tv, she would have to move my room AGAIN. This room was on the third floor. I asked her to come up with me to make sure they keys and the tv worked. Everything thing seemed to be working and this room was a bit nicer than the other one at first glance. As I began to u pack and walk around, I noticed there was a sticky substance on the floor and there were gnats in the room. Before the front desk clerk left the room on the third floor, I asked her name, she said Veena.

Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. Things to improve: General maintenance needed badly. There’s a big hole in the roof of the hotel you can see from the road. Rude staff. Malfunctioning hair dryer in the bathroom. Bugs in the bathroom. Trash and spills lying around the corridor and the lobby. Stains on walls, carpet, furniture, doors in the hallways and room. “Broken”coffee machine in the lobby and breakfast bar. “Broken” juice dispenser in the breakfast bar. Smell of weed in corridors. Place is run down in general. Wanted to leave as soon as I got there. Afraid of even checking the pool.

This place is nasty!!! My kids were terrified and had to cancel our entire stay there after arriving. Their place is sooo run down. There was rust everywhere and a horrible musky smell in our room. Not to mention our balcony had piles of trash. They advertise a pool which is not true. The elevator seemed like it was going to break any minute. Be warned you dont want to stay here!!!

Just no! Yes it’s cheap! But it’s dirty and gross! Showers look like a hurricane came through! Bathrooms just nasty! Walls falling apart and service even worse! But I don’t blame them the conditions are horrible! Just a bunch of Mexicans taking your money at this point!

Do not stay here if you can help it!!! The property is very poorly run and the front desk is no help. I called and inquired about the deposit and was told that there was none. When I got there I found out that want true. While checking in the elevator broke and I was on the third floor. The building was so dirty that I didn't bother with breakfast the next morning, I didn't even want to sleep up under the sheets! Do yourself a favor and stay away!!!

This place is extremely rundown. Bathroom was poorly maintained and sloppy repairs like glue still in and around sink. Door barely locked and smell of weed in hallway. Shower curtain had mold on it and ceiling looked very suspect. We actually left a day early because of the terrible condition

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in my entire life!

I was put in a room underground. It has dew smell. The toilet paper hangers were rusted. There were used toilet paper on the floor next to the commode. The bathroom floor was visibly dirty. The bedroom curtain has stains toward the bottom of the curtain. There were ant on the bed. It was so bad that I have to cancel my order. The attendant could not defend the sloppiness of the hotel, so he refunded my money through your company. I hope you have credited my card for the amount withdrawn from my card for that service.

Coffee machine is not working, no water other things are good need improvements

I was put in a room with no balcony and no window view. At first I had to ask for a room change. I got my room changed with no issues. However the room had roaches and there was a $50 deposit that I was not informed up until after I got there for check-in

The hallway was dim and dirty in the daytime. Stains were on the walls and doors. The room smelled like there was water damage somewhere but they tried to cover it up with some scent. The building is not very well maintained. Stains and rust were throughout the room. The tub needs to be replaced. They put a clear silicone coat over rust holes in the tub as well as the shower curtain needed to be changed. Flies and fruits flies were buzzing about. The mini fridge didn’t work. Would not recommend if you want comfort. The fire hose in the stairwell was missing and so was the smoke detector in the room.

The 1st room had a terrible smell, the odor was so bad that I had to open the coffee in the room and keep it by me. It wasn't unti my partner tried to use the phone, didn't work to call and get assistance with the TV...didn't work that we were moved to another room. There was exposed wiring in the room, although capped , the linens were stained, found a red pill on the carpet, shower was moldy. The only good thing is the location I guess. I thought hotels was nonsmoking but this placed smelled of smoke and weed. If I would have known I could photos I would have taken them and uploaded. Would not recommend!!!

Not the cleanliness or safest place I would expect, terrible odor, stained carpets, webs in the ceiling, coffee maker was broken, bathroom was not the cleanest…. Pictures on the website are not true !!

Pool was literally full of sludge, sauna out of order, coffee maker in room didn’t work, coffee maker in lobby did not work, TV did not work, keys constantly did not work. Worst hotel experience in 40 years of traveling.

Hallways appeared to not have been vacuumed in at least a week . I was apprehensive about going to the room. The first room shown we refused to stay in there. The second room wasn't any better. Since we already paid and couldn't get a refund we stayed one night. We rode the elevator with a drug dealer who was on his phone telling his customer he was on his way down . I could go on about how bad thd condition of the room was but I will end it here but I will add a photo of the huge leak in the lobby ceiling.

The original room we were in was dirty. The door barely closed even after being pushed close. The chairs were tearing and the room was hot and musty. I requested a different room and this one was at least clean with a door that closed. The room keys never worked more than two hours and it was a complete headache having to get new keys.

The hotel was dirty. Trash in elevator and the hallway. Went in room and one of the beds was previously slept in and unmade (total mess). The bathroom had a dump in the toilet. The hallway to the room smelled like marijuana. (no smoking environment) LOL. We left and recieved some of our money back now fighting with Expedia to get the rest returned. Stayed at a different location in Marietta and it was pleasant.

The walls in hallways and rooms needed repainting, carpet needed cleaned or replaced. Trash in hallways needed picked up. Lamp shades were ripped and Stained. Seat cushions were worn out and needing repair or replaced. The general appearance looked very tired and worn. Not what I expected from a Comfort Inn.

The night clerk was very rude and abusing my wife. Lied several times and should be fired
