I would stay here again. Great AC. Safe neighborhood. Great access to parking near the place. There was a self check-in, which was straightforward. Guests need to provide a photo of ID and submit payment for $85 refundable deposit prior to receiving the self check-in instructions. I appreciated the access to good quality water, including hot. Comfortable, clean and enjoyed the breakfast options available - grits, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches (in the fridge), chips, fresh fruit. Positive experience here. There's also a park nearby to go for a walk or play on the playground with kids.

The communication of this place is terrible. The keypad outside wasn't working and I texted "after hours" and got no response. I was finally able to get in...but standing outside in this not nice neighborhood was scary. There were bugs on the bathroom floor. When I looked up the type, they are a type that can spread parasites by contact. The bed was very loud. It was hot inside during the day and freezing at night. Beyond gross bathroom. I was also asked to send my photo ID to a phone number and was given the incorrect phone number...so my ID went somewhere else initially. Very unorganized and not a safe feeling area. Parking is confusing. No clear directions on anything. Save yourself the trouble and get an actual hotel room. Also the pictures and address listed isn't the actual house I stayed in- very sketchy and misleading.

Hidden Gem!! You’re secure & safe, love the sentiment of staying in an old Church. Will be back!!

Check in phone number provided was wrong, so definitely message them on here first. You need to put in a $85 deposit, not sure if that’s available information before you book, but as long as you don’t trash the place you’ll get it back. I’ve been to this property twice now and I do like it a lot, there’s a lot of open space and both times we were the only ones in the entire house, so we got to enjoy the space ourselves. I would say that the experience would probably be a lot less fun if there were other people that booked a room at the same time, but the security is good with cameras and number pads for each room, so safety isn’t an issue. It’s just very echoey in the main foyer so it would be a bit awkward to try to be quiet if another room was being used. In the future I would like to come back again but it would be nice to know if there is another room booked at the same time just so I don’t get spooked!

Booked this stay 2 hrs before my arrival. I went to Breakaway ATL & this was such a nice stay. The location was perfect in a safe, quiet neighborhood. Would recommend.

Nice small little house for a quick trip to the area. The fridge was supplied with snacks and beverages, and having a room to myself with separate bath made the stay price very reasonable.

Parking was very confusing, staff was hard to reach and slow to respond but quick to get onto you. The bed was like sleeping on a pile of bricks and the frame was broken. Snacks are limited. Said to feel like home but home it was not.
- 3/5
The check in process was bad since the lady wasn’t responding and you’ll have to email and text on message and WhatsApp for them to respond. There are a lot of holes in the walls and ceiling

The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The bathroom shower was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The living area was nice and felt like home away from home. Coffee and snacks provided were nice and breakfast sandwiches were available for quick breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely loved our stay at Alecia B&B in Atlanta! The property is set in a beautifully restored old church, which gives it such a unique and memorable atmosphere. The snacks were a fantastic touch and much appreciated. It’s close enough to the city for convenience but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, making it peaceful and relaxing. We felt very safe thanks to the excellent security measures in place. Check-in was quick and seamless, and the manager was incredibly pleasant and welcoming. I would highly recommend Alecia B&B and will definitely be visiting again!

Having said that--- there were moments I felt a bit unsafe as a single female staying in the area. However, having the locks on the door and lack of people on the roads outside helped me feel more secure. The breakfast offered included coffee with keurig and other packaged pastries. Nothing too exciting, but she did have a large selection of other snacks. My one critique is that the temperature for the old, converted Church was set at 52 degrees in December, which made for a very cold stay. Every night I came back I had to manually change the temperature to 70+ degrees, which was fine! just fyi for any people who come stay here to dress WARM during the winter and perhaps bring a blanket from home. Also very important to note ( because I was initially confused when my Lyft dropped me here) : the building says " Baptist church" in the front and it does look a bit rundown on the outside. However, it is quite clean on the inside and looks much better once you enter the building! Lastly: the owner will ask you to pay for an $85 deposit outside of Expedia, which I'm fairly certain is not allowed, but as long as she returns the money within 10 days it’s fine

Alecia was an amazing host, the property was clean, quiet and comfortable. She responded quickly to requests (including one late at night when I misplaced the key haha) she was very friendly. Plenty of free snacks were a great touch and I enjoyed breakfast everyday. I had my own private bathroom that had plenty of amenities if you forget anything!

The room was very good, clean and the devices worked very well. The snacks, tea materials and fruits were provided free which was very useful. The only issue with my stay was the processing of the door code, which was unnecessary very stressful. If you are using the place you are advised to process the door code several days in advance and listen to the supplied instructions and get clarifications several days in advance.

This property was inside an old converted church and it was remodeled beautifully. The hard wood floors were polished and buttery smooth. The room was nice and quiet with great ceiling fans. Nice big walk-in shower and bathroom. Plenty of street parking. The common area was really well-stocked with food, snacks, kitchen supplies, and many other amenities. We especially enjoyed the muffins and microwaveable breakfast sandwiches! Several big comfortable couches and great lighting and ceiling fans invited us to relax in the common area. There were so many little touches that clearly show how much the property manager cares for their property and the guests (even ear plugs in the bathroom). The neighborhood was nice and quiet and set behind the main drag. Although some of the surrounding streets seemed a bit sketchy, and is perhaps an area in transition, there were plenty of cameras and security measures in place so it never felt uncomfortable. It was the perfect location for an easy 10-15 minute Lyft/Uber ride into downtown for our convention. We would absolutely stay again!

The owner is one of the nicest people I've met, so considerate and kind. The place I stayed at was the most cleanest place too. The amenities are great, they had snacks restocked everytime. Whenever and whatever you would need, it was there. It's a quiet area and not far from Town either. Definitely recommend this place to everyone and I'm usually very picky too.

The host had a variety of breakfast items for guest. The room stayed really warm but as long as the ceiling fan was on high, the air leveled out and was comfortable. Storm knocked out the electricity Saturday night and was still out sunday morning. Had to leave early and find somewhere to get ready for the day. There were 3 things that were a little concerning. 1 was the state of the chair in the room, which was the first thing i seen when walking in, 2 was the fact that you could see straight through the the vent racks into the hallway that is behind the door and 3 was that the owner came in at one point and you could hear her cursing and complaining.

One thing I would point out in the category of 'Property Condition' is bed frame. It was making squeaky noise every time you move even a little in bed or turn your side. Since it was loud, sometimes it was waking me up at night.

Unit had a very large walk-in closet and large bathroom, which wasn’t expected. Unit had a programmable thermostat, so any temperature adjustment needed to be done manually and fairly often. Staff was a bit slow to respond to request for extra towels, and eventually did. It was around Christmas time though too. Nice touch to offer coffee, snacks, soda, and water in common kitchen area.

Clean and very spacious room. Great value. We had quiet, well slept nights. The other customers staying there were courteous and we did not hear any noise mentioned in the other reviews. We had a late arrival and was worrying about our access into the property. However, a clear access instruction was given timely exactly one day prior to the arrival. All workout well.

For what I needed for last minute adjustment to travel plans, this fit the bill. Towels and toiletries provided, but no snacks provided at this location, which was fine, since we had our own. The stove and microwave were unavailable. Again, depending on your expectations, location may or may not be what you're looking for.

Living in a church is unique travel experience. People's town location is easy access to downtown through driving or bus route 55 to five point. No cooking and no visitor policy adds some inconvenience, no TV program inside room makes no sense. Generally speaking, it is a quiet nice place to stay long.

It would have been at least bearable if there was air. The host turns off the air conditioner daily when you leave. The house was 91 degrees daily and it takes 5 hours to cool. In ATL in July that is absolutely crazy! The host never responded to anyone's message after check in. Room 2 bed is VERY hard. If you can't afford anything else and don't mind being disregarded and want sugar filled snacks, this is the place to be. Other than that RUN RUN RUN!

We were sent to another premises 150 yards from where advertised (we have recorded evidence). Communication with the owner was via a ring doorbell that was at most times incoherent and rude. When eventually let in, the property was already occupied! A neighbour helped and advised of many similar incidences of people turning up to this airbnb and having difficulties accessing the property. We was not pleased, left and demanding reimburstment. This property should NOT be allowed to be advertised as an airbnb in my opinion.

When first arriving, I tried to stop at a convenience store nearby and realized it wasn’t the safest area. Also kind of far from most attractions and I didn’t feel comfortable walking the area to get public transit so had to Uber everywhere. The facility though was very secure, clean, had everything I needed as a solo female traveler including breakfast food and snacks and drinks. Was the most affordable option so I’m satisfied with my stay.

I loved that the property was about 10-15 minutes from many of the major places in the city - museums, botanical garden, zoo etc. The owner was responsive and easy to work with and I would definitely recommend staying here.

I really enjoyed staying at this remodeled church. The room, kitchen, and common areas were all clean, the location close to downtown and Grant Park was excellent, quiet, and safe, and the snacks were delicious! And all for a great price. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Enjoyed staying at Alecia’s place during the long weekend. It was very clean and kept up, the beds were very comfortable and she kept us well stocked with nice snacks. Highly recommend. David

I was scheduled to check in Saturday May 25th. On Thursday the 23rd I texted the property manager giving my ID and contact information. I also requested confirmation for the payment link. I did not receive a response. I reached out Friday at 10am with a screen shot of the payment confirmation and requested check in instructions. I did not receive a response. I called at 5pm and was told I would receive instructions at midnight. On Saturday at 4am I checked my emails and texts and did not receive instructions. I did receive them by 7am. I arrived at the property at 330pm and was told I was in room 5. There is no room 5 at this property. I texted the property manager twice, called twice. And left a voice mail. I did not receive a response. I returned to the property at 7pm to try once more. But could not get in. I called and finally the property manger answered. She stated my check in instructions were incorrect. She does not provide good customer service. She is unresponsive and a bit rude when speaking with her. Very poor communication. While the room itself is nice and bathroom is modern. The outlets in the bedroom of room 4 do not work. The TV does not work. And the main over head light does not work. Additionally there was a dead cockroach and other bugs in the bathroom.

For the price, this stay is sufficient. It is clean and the lock on the door was automated and secure. However, as a female traveler, I didn’t feel the most safe in the neighborhood. The staff is very kind and reimbursed us for the lack of consideration from other guests making noise all night long.

Management is not on property and is relatively unresponsive. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

there were ants in my room,i told the property mgr and she said this did NOT result in any future credit, or discount...where do they do that at???? she mentioned cause i didn't mention it immediately i was not due any recourse... i didn't see the ants at first as i did just stay inthe room when i got there, it wasn't until i settled in for the night did i spot them in a corner behind the bathroom door!! if she had handled that issue better it wouldn't have been so bad. it was my schedule that i left early (was supposed to say 2 nights) not the ants...i was telling her about them as a courtesy and at least some sort of credit on my stay or credit for a future stay at least...as im still awaiting my deposit and she got off with a whole nights stay i never used...smh

The directions that were sent were perfect and easy to understand. The room was spacious and the bathroom was larger than I was thinking. It was a very quaint and lovely. It was quiet and had all the things for you to stay. The area was also nice. Highly reccomend.

It was immaculately clean! Cute decor. Very thoughtful amenities. Only two things that I didn't like: Not being informed of the "Quiet Rule" until after booking and the bed creaked loudly. But I would definitely book there again.

The property was not what I thought it would be upon arrival as far as the grass not being cut. Specific rules were not mentioned before confirming this nonrefundable booking such as the $85 deposit and the inability to cook. There was no cable, but they provided a lot of snacks and beverages that my guests enjoyed. Overall, it was easy to access after completing the deposit and sending my identification. I truly enjoyed having a lock on my room for extra security and the cameras inside and outside the house. My stay was quiet and safe, so I was ultimately pleased.

This property far exceeded my expectations. It is a converted church (which they mention in their instructions to guests) and is a practical, functional, and beautiful place. Check-in was very easy and they gave detail instructions with pictures, diagrams, and detailed steps. We were in apartment four- a huge room, big comfy bed, and a bathroom that is straightbout of a magazine. Huge closet and a fridge, lots of drawers and cabinets. And the hostess amenities were crazy good- toiletries, linens, food, drinks/snacks- all well more than we imagined. We will certainly use this property and hostess again. THANK YOU!

The check in process required calling a phone number and making arrangements for after hours check in. The check in notice was in small print and only posted after booking. I arrived after hours and no one answered the phone, so I proceeded to the airport and slept there.

I really loved my stay me and my sister have stayed here on and off and we have had a great experience!! The beds are really comfortable it really feels like home. I would defintely recommend to everyone I know.

1. Economical to afford a car rental 2. Convenient location that makes renting a car unnecessary 3. Professional people running the show behind the scenes 4. A safe and friendly neighborhood 5. Good heating 6. Near the bus and not far from Five Points Train Hub to get the Red Line North bound to Lenox Mall 7. Snacks are available in lieu of a provided and included breakfast - snacks are included: yogurt, cake, healthy nuts, and banana, orange, apples.

It was very peaceful and clean. I definitely will be back.

I paid $211 for 3 nights, but was charged an additional $85 before arrival in order to get the door codes and no refund. Room really needs at least one table or some type of wall shelves for you to place small items on. The bed needs to be replaced in room 3, because it was uncomfortable and noisy from old mattress. You could not move without the bed creeks like the spring were crying! Very clean and hospitable and I would stay there again if these upgrades were made! Nice quiet area of Atlanta.

Clean and cozy. Free snacks and drinks for guests.
