Reviews
Guests generally enjoy their stay at the hotel, appreciating the friendly and helpful staff, beautiful grounds, and convenient location. However, there are consistent complaints about outdated rooms, poor service at the restaurant, and issues with room service and housekeeping.

Over all it was an okay place to stay. The bathroom was incredibly small. We were not aware they sold part of the property even though they have pictures still up in their listing. The one pool they had left was small and couldn’t get in because of the amount of people. Needs updating
- 4/5
The room was very clean. You have to ask to have it cleaned/refreshed during your stay.
- 5/5
I like the patios and the pet friendly servicen

Very comfortable. Restaurant staff especially nice. Great breakfast bar
- 3/5
We just needed a place to sleep for one night and this was good for that. The lobby area was nice and fun mountain themed, appeared clean. The service checking in was easy and pleasant. Walking to our room, the further we got from the main hotel the faster it went downhill. Just old and musty appearing. The room was clean, but very basic, carpet appeared old, etc.. the hallways to the rooms were depressing, etc..

Great property. Very friendly staff. Very dog friendly. Nice pool. Comfortable bed. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. AC woke us up going on and off because the fan wouldn’t stay on continuously

This is a great hotel, super close to downtown, lots to do within the property, beautiful rooms as well. I did request a late check out and had housekeeping try to get in at 9:30am, 10am and 10:30am which was a little annoying but otherwise I would definitely stay here again.

Natalie was the best. She helped find the perfect room location and also pointed out great sight seeing
- 5/5
I love this property. The location is perfect and staffers are helpful and friendly. The property is being renovated so several of the amenities are unavailable.
- 2.5/5
The room is well past due for an update. No hot water at the sink, a slow draining tub, musty smell and no refresh between nights of stay.
- 0.5/5
We left a day early and went elsewhere No golf. Outdated rooms. Dirty. Work being done under us bright and early. Smell of cigarette smoke coming from outside. Man standing looking directly into our window. Toilet running loudly and then leaking.
- 5/5
Everything was great! Lobby was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious!! Staff was super helpful. The only thing I would note is that the TVs have no streaming but I don’t know if that’s useful information or not-
- 5/5
Room was clean, pretty pool outside, beautiful lobby. Was perfect to stop overnight with kids
- 2/5
Staff No pool, no golf, limited bar, very disappointing based on advert for facilities none of which where available
- 4.5/5
The back is beautiful. The lobby is amazing. The rooms don’t really match the vibe of the rest of the hotel. They could be better.

Clearly the property is aging. It's well kept with newer decor but the basic infrastructure is clrarl deteriorating at least in the rooms. The conference center has clearly been updated more recently.

My husband and I spent two nights at this amazing hotel, it was beautiful, clean and just the perfect place for a getaway. Breakfast was delicious, so get the option where you can add breakfast here because if you pay at the restaurant is a little bit more expensive. The only downside is that we wanted to go to the pool but it was closed due to maintenance, but other than that we had a great time! We’ll be back for sure!
- 5/5
Love that after that walk, you can come in for a cocktail. Staff was very helpful and friendly. This location is surprisingly close to town and everything you want to do in Asheville, without the hassles of being in-town.

Extremely nice staff, 3 minutes by car from downtown. Sliding glass door wouldn't close so the hotel staff had a metal bar to force it closed, no actual overhead lights just lamps so it was visibly dark in the room, large holes in the blinds, building seemed old, walls were very thin and lots of noise at night.

We stayed in one of their recently renovated rooms. Super comfortable, clean and love the hardwood flooring.

The location of the hotel to Asheville attractions is excellent. The hotel has a good vibe, clean rooms and excellent service.
- 4/5
It is a beautiful hotel, especially if you are staying with a large group for a long stay. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and modern. There is a nice bar to get together at and the restaurant is wonderful but a little pricey. The only problem is there is no microwave in the room and the refrigerator is very small and did not work well.
- 2/5
The front desk clerk was not nice offered no information, she gave us a key, hardly said anything to us. I looked in the room! It was so noisy from air units outside. I went back and for another location. Didn't like ok all that busy even on a holiday weekend. The room did look over a stream. That ragged with the heavy rain Hugh high rise noisy hotel air conditioner across with parking, people yelling at 1 am. Lights blearing all night. Not as shown in photo. Room ok There was hair in the shower. Gross. Never again

- 3.5/5
It was in a good location and was quiet. It wasn’t as expected, I thought we would have a view having a suite with a balcony but the balcony was on the ground floor. I thought we’d have a nicer bathroom with a tub since it was a suite. Looks like it was remodeled 10 or so years ago. Just wasn’t as nice as I expected, but was not terrible. The gym was nice to have but was dirty, needs a deep clean and someone to maintain cleanliness.

Great resort with big lawn and walking path. The overlook hotel is decent and the bar has great cocktails. Pet friendly rooms are also well maintained and there's no residue pet smell. Good option if you want to enjoy the weather and have a laid back time. The pool was closed when we were there
- 5/5
Had hard time turning off shower
- 4/5
The staff was excellent! The only complaint I have is the entrance we had to use for our room stunk so bad like nasty old spoiled rotten food. It was awful walking in and out everytime.
- 5/5
Hotel is very nice and staff is super friendly! Rooms are spacious and clean! Very conveniently located as well!
- 5/5
It was definitely pet friendly and clean. It felt a little detached from the downtown area. It was kind of inconveniently located.

We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, including lox bagels and made to order omelets. Also enjoyed the walking trails and fire pit.

A young lad was so helpful on multiple occasions. She does a wonderful job of representing this hotel with professionalism and kindness, and is the biggest reason I give this hotel a '10' down the board. All respectful. Good Job Blu!

I have to say this place claims to be a resort and charge you three to $400 a night. This is no resort if it wasn’t for the people that worked there this place wouldn’t be a good place. The People made this place but this is no resort and it’s not even worth the money, especially to sleep down in the basement.

The lobby was beautiful, the person at the desk was very nice and helpful. The location of the hotel, difficult to come and go to Ashville area. No cleaning in the rooms. Trash was not ever emptied in our room. When we asked for more towel tjey did not offer to take the wet towels. Had to go and get more coffee etc to make coffee in our room. I understand not wasting wayer etc, but there is no reason to leave people in a room for 3 days without even offering to empty trash or replenish items that need to be replaced.

The breakfast buffet was plentiful and had variety. Beautiful views and well maintained property.

If I had anything to suggest for improvement - it's hard to find. Our GPS took us to the entrance to Sam's Club which isn't good because there are beggars at all the stop signs. They need better signage, if possible, when coming off the expressway. And, the carpet in the hallways and rooms is far too old - a bit of a musky scent. Technical - the ice machine on the first floor was broken. Could maybe put a sign for where another one is? Other than that - I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The overall hotel was nice but the rooms were very outdated and run down.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed because we were looking for a place with an indoor pool to keep the children entertained. I knew from staying there the last time a few years ago that there was an indoor pool so I chose this location as it is a very nice hotel and the beds are very comfortable. However, their indoor amenity center has been torn down and they informed us that the city has bought the property that it stands on. They did inform that they are rebuilding an attached amenity center. The other center was detached, but on the same property. That all sounds exciting, except their website does not disclose this project and the website shows that they have an indoor pool.
- 5/5
I appreciated the coffee bar!! I had a great one night stay- very quiet, clean room, friendly staff. No complaints.
- 5/5
Outstanding experience! Excellent service, top-notch restaurant food, and truly the best hospitality. Highly recommended!
- 3/5
The entrance and lobby are far nicer than the actual rooms. Maybe why the fireplace images are used for promoting the hotel. Overall for the money the hotel was okay. At checkin we were asked if we had any pets, we said no. The room did smell a little like animals, maybe dog smell. The next morning we noticed what looked like a pee stain on the carpet in part of the room. Not ideal, especially considering they asked us if we had any animals. Location of the hotel was great and overall I wouldn't stay again or recommend.
- 0.5/5
It was a decent location near downtown There were wasps in my room, after killing one I realized there were more. Called the front desk - they upgraded my room to king- which is not an upgrade for a single traveler. The new room was dirty, I had black hair in my towels, there were pieces of cardboard you could clearly see so the room was not clean- and the outlets in the bathroom did not work. Meaning I had to get ready without being able to see. Very disappointing stay and total waste of money. I would’ve rather slept in my car.

Great location near downtown Asheville. It was one exit away from downtown. Free parking is nice since lots of hotels in downtown charge $30 for parking per night. Clean, spacious rooms. We could hear people talking loudly at 2 am that woke us up. It is a resort with more amenities than regular hotels but no free breakfast since it has a restaurant. We didn’t eat there though someone else did and charged it to our room. The staff was nice and helped take care of it. Driving around the property you can tell the resort used to have golf, tennis, and spa that doesn’t exist anymore. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Very nice location and views. Breakfast was wonderful! Would stay there again!

The resort is located in a great spot. Perfect for visiting the nearby restaurants and shops downtown. Also ideal for accessing the highways for your daily adventures. We visited a few of the waterfalls during our stay which were amazing!! The rooms at the resort are a bit outdated. Which wasn't a big deal. The king size bed was very comfortable. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at The Crowne Plaza!! We are looking to book another stay some time during this coming summer.
- 3/5
However, the rooms are quite dated and could definitely use a facelift. While everything was functional, the overall feel didn’t match the level of the lobby or the service. Overall, a pleasant stay thanks to the staff, but the rooms could use some updating to bring everything up to the same standard.

I have stayed at this property in the past and liked the location. It isn’t located downtown so not in the crowds you sometimes find in downtown. Has good parking. Breakfast is good. Room was clean. Upon arrival the front desk staff was not helpful or friendly. There was a problem with my reservation and she told me she couldn’t fix the issue and I needed to resolve it myself. I showed her a copy of my reservation and she said that didn’t matter. I had a hard copy of the reservation and a copy on my phone. I was able to make a call and get the reservation sorted. The WIFI at the hotel does not work well. It constantly went down or kick me off the service. On the third day of my stay I asked the front desk if there was a mailbox or if the desk could send out mail that I had prepared and was already stamped. The front desk staff said she didn’t know if she could send out mail for guests. She said perhaps check with the restaurant staff about mailing my cards- which made no sense. Perhaps the front desk staff isn’t trained or just not interested in helping guests. I found the customer service at the property not good or what I would expect.

The room was dated and bed was lumpy. I made a decision after staying here that we will pay to stay in nicer places.

The resort is hugh, and you can tell that it was once a top notch facility, but it appears to be a bit dated and they just don’t have the bookings to justify pouring upgrade funds onto it. I would definitely stay again.

The entrance and common areas were well decorated with great ambiance. The room was a standard hotel room with all the necessities and comfort. Nothing special but met my single overnight needs. The best part was the price (under $100) and I was luckily given a free breakfast. The breakfast buffet was quite nice and it had wonderful fresh fruit. I give 5 stars to the fresh fruit! lol

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Crowne Plaza Resort. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the location was super convenient, and the staff, especially the sweet woman who checked us in, was outstanding. Our stay included a hot breakfast, and it did not disappoint. The hot breakfast was delicious and the perfect way to end our visit. The wait staff was exceptional. Our server went above and beyond to make sure I had vegan options, even having the chef prepare dishes just for me and double-checking that the buffet items I chose were vegan-friendly. I truly couldn’t have asked for more. We will definitely be back the next time we visit our daughter in Asheville. Highly recommend this hotel; and absolutely don’t skip the hot breakfast! We were very happy and content. I wish we could have stayed longer. I can't think of anything we did not like about the hotel or restaurant.

The hotel was hosting a winter fest dance festival and my room was within 30 paces of the event center. During the winter fest, they had a social event from 11p-6a which included loud music in the event center. Bass shook the walls of my room all night

All staff was nice and helpful. I liked access to 3 pools. In case one was too busy. The temperature throughout the facility was pretty warm outside the rooms. Out patio door was really hard to close. Overall pretty good stay. I didnt like the exit from the hotel from and to the hwy.

That was great and the staff was excellent After driving 10 hours got our key cards that didn't work. Then after going back to hotel check in leaving my partner with the luggage got another set of key cards went back to the 5th floor to our horror the room was occupied. Again back to check in upset got two sets of key cards and finally got a room that was acceptable. Had one more incident with the key cards. Room service was up to us, either by getting our own towels and TP in the hallway or at the front desk. Finally over the holiday weekend our Wing Elevator was out of service which resulted in moving out over two days. I'm 80 and expect much better.

I was here for the ACMA Conference. We were served breakfast Friday morning and it was excellent The ACMA Conference was located in 2 different locations at the hotel. The one location was a short walk which was fine but it consisted of a steep elevation. One of the nurses did fall. No serious injuries but the walkway may need steps.

Nothing Bathrooms are very small. Toilet is about a foot high. As a senior they are terrible. My key kept d being erased. They need to update their locks. Carpet is very worn and needs updating. Breakfast is not provided and is a $22 buffet. As a diabetic I need a choice menu. I’m not paying $22 for a cup of coffee and English muffin. Everything is self serve. You have to go to the front desk for towels or trash pickup. We were there for a baseball tournament and needed a laundry. It is located a 1/2 mile and you have to drive to it on very narrow road. They have one washer and dryer. There were about 15 teams staying there. Not enough laundry facilities and very hard to get to. I would never stay there again.

I was charged $282.50 for “smoking in my room”. I didn’t smoke in my room. I smoked outside on the patio. The rude girl at the front desk showed me a picture of what was supposedly the garbage can in my room with a bunch of cigarette butts in it. Someone had to have put them in there, I put my butts in an empty can with water in it. Then throw away in a garbage outside. Anyway, the patio is apparently an extension of the room. Their smoking policy is 10’ away from the building. Nowhere does it state that you have to be 10’ away from the building. It’s not on the patio door, or any door on the property that I saw. The rude girl at the front desk said “it’s on their website”. If you go on their website, you can’t click on the policy link. Crooks…

Crooks…

The hotel itself is pretty nice, but the rooms were old and small. There is another place in Asheville called the residences at Biltmore that they’re going to rename the lantern lodge that we decided to stay at after the first night instead of the crown Plaza and instead of a little tiny old room, you get a one bedroom suite with a hot tub and full kitchen and it’s only a little bit more money. This place was OK if there’s nowhere else to stay for the same amount of money but the experience I had was like night and day. The only good thing about this place was they gave me a free order of chicken wings on my first night.

The room and service were fine, but the $50 incidental charge was never debited back to my account 7 seven days after we stayed at your hotel. I called the hotel to find out why and they said that they had canceled out the incidental fee on their end and that I now much contact my bank to figure out what is going on. I should not now need to get entangle with my bank to have this fee returned to my account. Seven days and counting and this problem has not yet been resolved. Crown Plaza should be able to do more to get my incidental funds reimbursed.

Overall my stay was okay. I had to be moved to another room in the middle of the night because a dog would not stop barking. The shuttle only works on the weekend. The staff was not very friendly. The food and drinks at the bar were good. The grounds were nice.

The room was nice however the bathroom could have been cleaned better. There’s nothing worse than getting in a shower and seeing hair in Druid’s rent parts of the shower. The bedding was also “worn” with the appearance that there were spots on the comforter. Those need to be tossed instead of reusing. It wasn’t a good look.

The room was okay. Could use some TLC and the walls of this hotel are paper thin. There was a dog show event going on and one of the participants was next door to us. They were up daily at 5am and so were we with the noise coming from their room unfortunately. The view from our balcony was beautiful though!

Yes room great. Older hotel but has been redone. Loved everything about it. Had beautiful fireplace, nice restaurant, nice bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Loved the bar, and the kitchen! Ate 3 meals in 2 days there! So convenient and tasty. Staff was very very hospitable and friendly. We're coming back for the firepit and pool that we were too busy to enjoy.

Overall, this resort is amazing! Walking in you really feel like it’s a place of luxury. But it is an older resort and some odd issues can crop up my shower handle broke during my stay and it was really hard to get the water to the right temperature.

Spacious and clean room

Consistently excellent. Service is superb. Food is excellent and underrated. Been going since COVID, and it is always a pleasure.

I’m a local resident and I had issues at my home today busted water pipes in a old house and people in my home working clean it up and I couldn’t stay there tonight so I want someplace close to my home and where I can get some rest The one problem I didn’t have enough money for the $250 deposit cause I have a new bank card and I didn’t have it in my possession. I did have $170 on my Apple Pay and I hadn’t put the new card Apple Pay I just think that the assistant manager could see that I was in a bad place and needed some assistance then my phone died so I asked do you have a plug so I could charge my phone the woman behind the counter told me you don’t have any plugs and I’m thinking I’m sure this hotel has electrical outlets to plug in my phone. Maybe that is a misunderstanding. Terrible experience.
- 3/5
Rooms are old and outdated. Toilets felt like I was in a kids daycare. Felt more like a retirement home then a nice hotel
- 5/5
Very clean. Lovely lobby and bar. Close proximity to downtown. Great staff.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly. Clean room too.

Older hotel but revamped nicely. Lobby is outstanding. Rooms are nice
- 5/5
We were there for 4 nights. The dining and the bar were awesome. Staff was very friendly and entertaining. We will come again!
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and they offered a shuttle into Asheville which was very helpful.
- 5/5
Beautiful fireplace next to the bar. A great place to sip wine and read a book.
- 4/5
Pet and people friendly
- 5/5
Check in was not as friendly as the rest of the staff, but after check in, things were very good
- 5/5
A nice pet friendly Hotel. It's mostly for conventions and the breakfast and the bar can be crowded when there are convention
- 1/5
The rooms provided are not as described or depicted in the listing unfortunately. The room and hall had an odd odor which could have come from various pets, general usage or misuse of the property by patrons. Rooms had popcorn ceiling, wallpaper was old and peeling, carpet was heavily stained in the room and immediately began getting bitten by whatever was on the carpet. We ended up leaving. Front desk was friendly and understanding at least to the situation but it was a mess.
- 3/5
First let me say that the staff we encountered were so friendly. Check in a breeze. Our room a bit dated but cozy and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast buffet was horrible. Actually inedible. Basically a continental breakfast for $30. Burnt potatoes, an omelet bar where the outside of the eggs was burned and the cheese inside raw. Not once did a server approach us to offer water, coffee, or juice. We skipped it the second day even though we had already paid for it. The location is very strange just in the middle of nowhere behind a Sam’s Club. Pay a little extra to actually stay downtown.
- 2/5
For a place that is labeled as a golf and resort and there is infact NO GOLF OR RESRORT. I only stayed there because it had a golf course. When speaking to the staff about it they laughed and were really rude like I was supposed to know there was no golf. Went to the room it was an ok standard hotel room. It had 2 fridges. One looked like it was from the 70's and the other mes. Neither one of them got cold. Do not waste your time or money here.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and clean. The staff made us feel welcome and made our last stop of our honeymoon memorable. The special treats were such a special touch!
- 5/5
Dated rooms but for the price not a bad deal
- 5/5
All of the staff was so helpful and nice! Very impressed with everyone
- 5/5
Beautiful and cozy hotel. Very friendly staff.
- 3/5
Can’t complain much for a sub 150 dollar over night stay, but the bad…listed to have an indoor pool on Expedia. Which if you check the hotel website it no longer exists. Which is no fault to the hotel. The hotel rooms although very very dated, were clean and the room sizes are large. Not very close to downtowns main attractions. The driveway in is a little rough and could use repair . The good…the hotel is tucked away off the main highways but again not in walking distance to downtown. There is a mountain backdrop that would be amazing if it weren’t for a large amount of mature trees on property. Overall for price of the room, it’s very reasonable for what you get just keep in mind the rooms are in need of a remodel.
- 4/5
The areas seen by everyone (lobby, meeting rooms, restaurant) is where the money has been spent. These areas are very nice. The large fireplace is the lobby is amazing! The sleeping rooms are dated and need more lighting. The closet was unusable because we could not see. The staff was very nice and did their jobs well. Restaurant has a very good buffet breakfast with an older gentleman making very tasty made to order omelets. Probably the best $19 you'll spend in Asheville!
- 5/5
Ordered food from Outlook restaurant at resort. It was good and reasonably priced.
- 4/5
Great views all around the facility. Fire pit with rocking chairs + the view = fall vibes.
- 5/5
Loved it and would stay in the future. Unfortunately we weren’t in Asheville for very long so we didn’t explore the property as much as I would like but it’s literally minutes from downtown and all staff was very nice. They also provide a shuttle if you don’t feel like driving
- 4/5
Pet friendly. Lots of walking trails and green space. Tennis and golf are closed for good.
- 5/5
I love it!
- 5/5
Comfortable room, easy to get into town. Nice facility would stay again.
- 5/5
It was great to be back in Asheville after the devastating flood.
- 2/5
I was sent one way to my room, which was the wrong way and I had to walk a good distance. The room was cleaned and a maintenance guy came into my room before I checked out - I was in a conference.
- 1/5
Was hip 50 years ago !
- 5/5
The hotel grounds were well kept and made for an excellent place to walk my dog. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable.
- 2/5
Staff was totally unaccomodating when it came to room changes and left us in a ground floor room so we couldn't open drapes with people walking by all the time.
- 4/5
Good hotel
- 5/5
The lounge area here is very nice. When we got back from downtown (which is very close and easy to get to from here) we were able to grab a drink and cozy up by the fire. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
Lots of open area, nice front area
- 5/5
Concierge staff make up for dated look of property and grounds. Junior suite was clean and spacey.
- 5/5
Lovely place - comfy beds
- 4/5
The desk person was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience and gave us another room much nicer and clean. She also gave us a complementary breakfast. Overall it was a good hotel for the price based on the area.
- 5/5
Amazing place We enjoyed so much
- 5/5
Beautiful place with plenty of room to relax.
- 4/5
The elevator was not working which was kind of a bummer.
- 5/5
Me and my wife had sucj a wonderful time in Asheville amd the hotel.wqs absolutely perfect
- 4/5
Awesome place!
- 3/5
Property is a little bit dated. Could have been a beautiful property. Overall it was okay.
- 3/5
This facility is definitely dated. Needs to be refreshed.
- 5/5
I did not know they allow dogs, for me that is a negative because someone across the hallway has 2 dogs that keeps fighting. Really sure it is going to be a sleepless night. The resort could use a facelift.
- 5/5
Great value
- 4/5
Area was great but the breakfast buffet was a bit expensive. Loved the fireplace!
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay and the amenities that this hotel offered.
- 5/5
The elevator was not working on our building and at one point a hallway smelled of smoke but otherwise it seemed far better than other hotels in the area.
- 1/5
Kids run down the hallway and make my dog bark and I was accused of being disrespectful.
- 5/5
Nice
- 1/5
Was delayed at check in by rude customers fighting w front desk . It was a litte after midnight when i arrived didjnt get into room until almost 1 . Extremely frustrating delay after travel .
- 5/5
Staff was extremely nice and helpful!
- 5/5
We got moved to another room upon arrival which was in the main building. It was convenient having the restaurant there and the ability to sit on the porch with our dog and dine. Beautiful fireplace.
- 4/5
Cons: The hotel looks rather worn in the hotel wings. (The conference room area near the lobby is nice.) Coffee is not complementary. Needs to be purchased at the bar.
- 5/5
Nice and clean property. Very professional customer service while checking in
- 5/5
Older hotel that has been well maintained. I’d stay here again.
- 3/5
It was a wonderful stay!
- 5/5
It was so cute!
- 5/5
It was really nice once my room was changed. I was in one of the buildings that are not near the
- 2/5
Nothing gives resort. False advertisement. Only 1 pool, entire building needs to be updated. From the steps to hallways to rooms. Checkin area and the restaurant are the best parts. All other amenities belong to a different entity all together including Golf, zip line, 2nd pool and indoor pool. House keeping is available upon request only. We pulled up to dirty towels and shoes on balconies, molded outer walls, weird smells in the hallways and room, questionable soft surfaces etc etc. Definitely will not be staying again.
- 4/5
Decent place to stay
- 5/5
We were way down the hall but loved the sliding door exit. Nice breakfast with a beautiful view. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
We loved the beautiful grounds, the quietness and the service.
- 5/5
Always clean. Wonderful property. Great staff. Love Miss Vicki at the front desk- very helpful.
- 5/5
Bed was comfy, staff was helpful and area was safe. Very nice place. I will stay here again.
- 5/5
Couldn’t have asked for a better place, clean and conveniently close to all our planned Asheville events
- 5/5
Property very elegant and well staffed. On top if all the our needs
- 5/5
This is a beautiful hotel with a casual elegance with beautiful stone fireplace and cozy sofas in lobby to enjoy a glass of wine from the lobby bar! Wonderful room with comfortable bed and cute deck for morning coffee. A wonderful stay!
- 5/5
Great spot just outside of downtown Asheville. Great amenities.
- 3/5
Specifically booked this hotel because of the attached spa, so was disappointed to discover that it was closed indefinitely. There are still signs on the property pointing you towards it which is also confusing. The shower handle broke off when we turned it on, and other fixtures in the room were loose/broken. Not a bad stay, but you don't get a lot for the price.
- 5/5
They are dog friendly! The beds are super comfortable and the AC is ice cold. There are doors to an outside patio and you can park your car in front of your room. We stayed on the bottom floor which made it much easier to walk our dog.. will come back to stay while in Asheville again.
- 3/5
Front desk staff was overwhelmed by a meeting going on and having multiple issues with keys not working, booked room next to pool and found out after checking in that it was closed so very disappointed as it was extort and we were looking forward to a swim before bed
- 4/5
The place is beautiful. The ziplines, a bonus. The restaurant and bar staff, best I've met. The front desk staff could benefit from some social development. My room was beautiful, had a balcony, and probably the best bed and pillows I've ever experienced in a hotel. The room could have been cleaned better before I checked in. There was hair in the shower and a pair of socks from the previous occupant left in the room.
- 4/5
Nice hotel with nice ambiance. Would have given higher rating but restaurant food was quite average. Personnel were very friendly, from check-in to check out. Golf course was fun and very reasonably priced.
- 5/5
Great resort!
- 3/5
Room 170 was actually OK, except for I paid to get a room with a balcony and I got a room with a porch where people walk 3 feet away from us often. That was very disappointing, I paid for it and never used it. We had to return to the desk three times to have the key card reprogrammed because it failed. That’s a walk down the hall await for an elevator across the skywalk to the front desk and a return trip… Three times. You’re the Crowne Plaza, fix the problem. The amenities seemed great, but nobody explained anything to us when we checked in. I saw the golf, I saw a zip lines, but nobody told me anything about any of them. Were they free? Do I have to pay? How do I do it? Nothing. The room is nice, dated, the chair and ottoman were stained.
- 5/5
The rooms are very dated
- 5/5
Very dog friendly!
- 2/5
The rooms seem like they have been forgotten about and not updated in the last 15 years. Inside the rooms was more of a outdated motel then the nice experience that is advertised. Would not return.
- 4/5
The staff was super helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
Great adminities at the lodge and location.
- 5/5
My only criticism was thry didn't appear to recycle.
- 1/5
Upon check-in we were assigned to an undesirable room were families of sports teams were staying. The floor had many children in the hall being children. My wife and I left our teenaged children for peace and quiet which did not appeared that we were going to get. After voicing the concern, we were then offered a quieter floor. In addition, the breakfast was terrible! The hot food was cold and the selection was poor. You will have a better breakfast at McDonald’s.
- 4/5
Enjoyed our stay! The pool was nice the lobby is so pretty! The strawberry/ blueberry water amazing!
- 2/5
The room lights (lamps) were not all working. The toilet chain broke in the middle of the night. We had to go to the lobby to use the bathroom. The hotel grounds are so beautiful. The views are tranquil. Overall, the hotel seems to have been "the place to stay" in years past. Sadly, now the rooms need some TLC
- 4/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Beautiful property
- 5/5
Love coming here. Very relaxing and close to everything.
- 4/5
We had a great time here. We loved the atmosphere. The room was clean but the common areas were a little dirty/dusty. Wish the pool was larger and there were more lounge chairs.
- 5/5
Lori and Natalie are AMAZING! Lori was quick to accommodate our needs. Natalie was so sweet to send a Happy Birthday gift our room and was quick to offer anything we needed. Ric was on his third day here and was so sweet and helpful. We will FOR SURE be back! Thank you everyone who made this so enjoyable!
- 5/5
Amazing Resort to be at if you love nature. Best part about the property is when it’s dark, 100’s of firefly’s makes it look even more beautiful!
- 5/5
Absolutely love the scenery
- 5/5
It was amazing Maybe they have to taylor the outside a better looking!
- 2/5
The Front desk employee didn’t even bother telling us any information about the hotel regarding check in and check out, breakfast options , any information about the pools turns out there’s 3 pool and we only saw one . We saw them at the day of our check out day.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed at a lot of suites around the U.S. and this place was my favorite so far. I would definitely recommend paying for their breakfast! Not only was it all very delicious the abundance of the variety was amazing! It’s worth every penny!
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and very accommodating.
- 5/5
Some areas like the hallways are definitely showing their age but overall the facility is really nice and has large manicured lawns with walking trails and a decent restaurant.
- 5/5
Internal decor was very pretty
- 5/5
The accommodations they provided for us and our dogs, especially
- 5/5
Second time staying really nice for the money.
- 5/5
Been coming here for 25 years. True resort amenities at family friendly price. Peaceful and in town. Nice but not posh
- 4/5
The main lobby and hallways have been updated but not the rooms yet. The pool closet to the hotel was closed, which was disappointing, and the room had a funny smell. We had to get an air freshener to help make it tolerable. The 9 hold golf course was nice and casual and the onsite restaurant had good options.
- 4/5
The people and most everything was very nice. My only dissatisfaction is with the bathroom. It is dated, small and not well laid out. The tub was slick and there wasn’t even a single towel rack in there.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with unique decor and absolutely delicious restaurant for breakfast and dinner! Highly recommend!!
- 4/5
Great place to stay. Large rooms.
- 2/5
Multiple cars were broken into the weekend we were there. But the hotel DID have security inside the hotel to patrol the kids that were there for a lacrosse tourney!
- 3/5
The elevators are tiny and they lead you to a non air conditioned hall that reeks of sour milk. Room was large, but very outdated. I would never complain but for the price, I at least expected the door to open easily. My issue is definitely with the state of the hotel itself, not with maintenance or staff (who were all helpful).
- 4/5
I ask for late check out, they just say NO sorry
- 1/5
We reserved a pool access room. The pool outside of our room was closed for our entire stay. Also the sauna, steam room were also closed for our entire stay and the indoor pool was only open for 1 day.
- 3/5
The pictures are deceiving. The main lobby and rooms that are directly connecting are nice (enough). But the majority of the hotel is very dated and run down. Sockets wont hold plugs. Light switches have shorts. The shower faucet feels like youre going to break if off, just to turn it on. The room had a cheap air freshener smell too
- 4/5
Full Service Restaurant (3 square meals). When closed for an hour in the afternoon, the bar and kitchen are still available. Great view from it as well. Kind of dated in ways they can't really help, like a small elevator. Easy to miss the entrance if not careful. Very reasonable price. Interior signage is absent, and staff directions for the restaurant and elevator were not thorough. No in-room printed info on dining hours, etc.
- 5/5
Nice balcony and view
- 1/5
After looking for a hotel I decided to pay more for this one because the views were very nice and the pictures showed a hotel that was clean and worth a higher price point. Upon arriving at the hotel, I quickly discovered that the pictures online don’t match what it looks like in person. Unfortunately, I didn’t take pictures to save other people from experiencing the same thing. I decided to go ahead and check into the room thinking that maybe the outside just looked rough. As I was walking to the room I realized how wrong I was. The hallway smells like musty, stale smoke and looks very run down. When entering the room I realized the balcony doesn’t have a view like portrayed in the description. The bed sheets and blanket both had stains on them. I stayed in the room for about 10 minutes because leaving. When I told the receptionist that I was disappointed in the quality and frustrated that the room doesn’t match the pictures, she said “ok”. I don’t recommend this hotel for anyone!
- 5/5
This is the view outside my room. It doesn't get better than that! The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was clean. Bar tender Joe made me feel like home. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Good place to stay.205 room is very noisy sounds like ac unit running all night.and the hall smells very bad.the room very clean.
- 5/5
We had a gorgeous view from our balcony. The breakfast buffet was very good. They even have an omelet station. The room was clean. The best part was the amazingly comfortable bed. It was one of the best nights of sleep I have ever had in a hotel.
- 3/5
Not as nice as I was expecting for the price I paid. Pictures are a bit of a bat and switch. Location a bit odd with interstates and outside area a bit strange. Lobby redone but rest of hotel is old and smelled bad. Indoor pool is not at hotel but you must walk down a steep hill to exercise club and hot tub was broken and there were no towels. Won’t stay again.
- 5/5
All was great except the AC was loud seems old
- 5/5
Beautiful grounds and accommodations, very conveniently located
- 5/5
Beautiful resort, wonderful food. Would like to stay more than 1 night next time.
- 4/5
Need updating and was not aware breakfast cost $22. Pools were closed but overall nice and quiet. Staff was accommodating.
- 5/5
Has to be the best stay I’ve ever had , everything about this place is awesome . It’s close to everything literally less than 5 mins from downtown. Food and dining experience was top tier also the bar was fantastic. Even the other guest were very respectful and talkative. Definitely will be returning this place is amazing!!!
