Good location, shuttle on the weekend to downtown was nice. Comfortable bed.

It is looking a bit rough around the edges but nothing that detracted from us having a great time. Hotel was clean and comfortable with an basic breakfast and decent sized rooms. Minutes from downtown and all the city has to offer.

Location is central to downtown events, hotel parking not convenient at all as it is adjacent to building. The hotel shares a property lot with another business directly outside of doors. Room could stand a bit of a deep clean, wipe off walls and check for curtain replacement needs. Breakfast was great and staff were very friendly.

Check in was smooth and room was very clean. Looking forward to staying here again.

Country Inn and Suites sits in the middle of the Asheville metropolitan area. The approach from the west, through heavy traffic, makes for a sense of relief as you near the property. The front desk welcome was genuine, and the room was ready even though we were early. In the adjacent mall, we found a well-stocked grocery store and an interesting, large pottery centre with beautiful items for sale. The adjoining Mall had three restaurants, all boarded up with signs indicating either relocation or total abandonment. The CVS pharmacy had a foreboding entry and a heavily armed guard -- a surprise to an Australian visitor.

Enjoy each stay. I usually request the top floor. This time I didn’t and I heard everything going on above me. Not sure if the person was just heavy footed or what. Other than that I would recommend to anyone looking for a clean, safe place to stay.

The room was clean, and we were able to enjoy the pool.

Water was barely warm enough to stand taking a shower. Finally, location in a rundown shopping center was a surprise as Hotels.com website showed photos hiding such information.

Took a UV light and the room got a 3 out of 5. Not awful but not good either. Dogs everywhere. I'm all for pets but when you're allergic it's an issue. Musty smell in room and hallways. Dogs? Hard to peg this hotel. Worth the price? Yes, but would prefer cleaner, smelly free. Breakfast was descent, not going to win any awards. Extremely strange location attached to a strip mall. Parking was a ways away as well. Overall good not great or award winning.

The staff including housekeeping were extremely friendly and helpful. Great to see mountains in the view. Beautiful area. The Front Desk staff in particular, above and beyond. The suite and all amenities - hot breakfast, snacks, suite with microwave and fridge, etc. - and the laundry facility terrific to have handy. Free parking, too, and having a walkway adjacent to a strip mall for essentials. Only weird thing was the desk chair - very comfortable, but tattered in the extreme! Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Spacious good size room with sofa, comfortable bed. Served a good breakfast with a variety of choices. Bathroom could have been cleaner, showing signs of wear, badly scratched bathtub. Room not very private, being on the ground floor no net curtains, people using the adjacent pool could see straight into the room which wasn't ideal.

The room and property was very clean and maintained. Rooms are quiet and you can’t hear your neighbors. Staff was friendly. We stayed a week and had no issues, our room was cleaned on request and the staff answered questions promptly. They do have a shuttle on the weekends to downtown and the location is close to tourist spots without being downtown. It was easy to get on the interstate and get to the top tourist locations quickly. Would stay here again.

Unbelievably bad front desk manager. Multiple rooms booked and after an hour of my guests being berated in person, me AND hotels.com/expedia platinum support that I conferenced in so they could hear it in the phone, everyone left the hotel after the first night. Zero common sense and zero customer service.

The desk chair was ratty, torn up and the hydraulics were broken whereas when you sat in the chair and immediately dropped down as low as it could go, and you couldn’t raise it up so I had to have that replaced then I wanted to iron some pants and it turned out that the iron had some murky brown stuff all over it which got all over my clothing. I told the front desk and I was able to get the stains off my clothes, but I reported it to them and I needed another iron and I never got one.

My feet slipped on the tile floo and I hit my head hard on the bedside Stan and my head wedged between the stand and the bed. This twisted my back and I felt it immediately. I was in huge pain.

The room was spacious and clean on arrival but there were only 3 bath towels and the room was serviced only on the 3rd day. The service was poor; bed not made up, no replacement of toiletries.

We stayed 2 nights. Very cozy and clean. Nice bed for sleeping. Breakfast was great. Location is nice as well. Definitely recommend it to other travelers.

Room smelled like dog. People without handicap plates parking in handicap spaces & staff did nothing. Two mornings in a row, construction work in the hall outside my room before 9am & staff didn't see anything wrong with it. No towels available in the pool area. Constant harassment by homeless anytime you go out to your car. This place has gone downhill FAST!

Location was perfect!! Close to everything! The front desk staff was very helpful in assisting me in getting a different room with two beds instead of one. The pool was open and in great shape with plenty of clean towels. I wish there was more fruit options at breakfast instead of just bananas and oranges. Also, non dairy milk would be nice. Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely stay here again!

The property was conveniently located. The staff was friendly and helpful. They also have a nice variety of breakfast foods and the cookies in the afternoon were a nice treat. There was a dog in the room next to ours that barked for quite a few hours.

The fitted bed sheet was hardly big enough for the bed. Kept waking up at night sleeping on the bare mattress because the fitted sheet would come off the bed.

Close to downtown, clean, comfortable Breakfast staff on Sunday was rude. A lady noticed a mess and went over grabbed a napkin, sighed and groaned extremely loud and slammed it in the trash very loudly in front of guests. It was super unprofessional.

Entire hotel was very clean, and I saw staff cleaning areas day and night Guests not familiar with Asheville will be very confused on how to get to the property due to its location and the road system around it. But we had no issues.

Country Inn & Suites is a great choice for family travelers. Wished the beds were a bit comfier, but the breakfast was great and the staff super friendly and helpful. We found the location to be really convenient. The natural foods market in the adjoining plaza has great coffee and is a good spot to pick up fun snacks.

Reserved and prepaid in full for a king bed suite, a 4 night stay. Upon arrival for check in I was told that there were no King suites, the room I booked and prepaid for did not exist. The front desk staff actually said to us that the room outlined in my res confirmation and displayed on their website did not exist. They denied a refund, put us in a tiny room. Despite prepaying and booking for the king room, paying a premium for a suite, they would not refund the cost difference. The staff was rude, unhelpful for the entire duration of our stay. We will not be back.

The hotel was clean & the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great; lots of options! The pool was great; temp was perfect but the tile could use a good scrubbing. Nice dual shower heads but the shower curtains are too short & the floors got all wet. I was glad to see security driving around the parking lot. Gemelli's Restaurant in the strip mall was very good. I wish we could have taken advantage of the fire pit area. The hotel was very clean & the beds were very comfortable.

Property is clean and well kept. Convient location, but a little difficult to get to. If you are coming from the south you need to go to downtown and do a uturn and go back over the bridge to get to teh location. If you miss it you have to do 2 u-turns to get back to the exit.

Tidy property with a good continental breakfast. You need to travel to the “cool” part of town, but the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Happy to return when I visit Asheville again

This is an older hotel but has been maintain pretty well. The room is average with an average bed. The location is easy to access with quick one and off Patton Ave. The breakfast is above average. They are generous with their selections and the quality was one of the best of its kind. We will stay again for the breakfast.

We booked this stay based on both Expedia and the hotel website stating that free shuttle service was available. Upon arriving we were told by the front desk staff that shuttle service was no longer available. We utilized Uber but of course that required additional cost. Had we known we would have stayed elsewhere.

Quiet and comfortable with good breakfast. Drugstore and grocery store within a block.The only downside is that it is really not in the river arts district, it is nearby by car, but not a very pleasant walk.

It was a great stay with the family and pet. The room was comfortable and the breakfast yummy. The room condition was good, need it a little bit of paint and touch up on some wall, clear that it was a pet room, which was ok since we had our dog with us. The only thing that was strange was the location, the hotel is located as part of a shopping strip, so parking can be a bit tricky and with two small children it was not ideal. The pool was a big hit with kiddos!

Excellent value. The hotel is in great condition and very clean. It’s a 10 for a 2.5 star hotel. Has thin towels, tiny soap, etc., all to be expected. It’s also quiet and convenient to town.

Great stay in River Arts District. Updated large room. Will be back.

Thanks for the stay I really enjoyed my visit

It was really clean and the breakfast was good. However the front desk people were a little clueless. They sent us to a closed restaurant. The parking is strange as you most likely will be parking in the store parking lot. It was a little noisy. There were no grab bars in the bathroom and the tub was slippery.

It was nice and convenient.

Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. Pool was fun.Great location.

Our room phone and TV did not work. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

Staff were friendly

Location within Asheville overall area is very good. Major cross-town highway access is advantage. Immediate surroundings of old Westgate Mall is shabby and appears in business decline.

I would rate this hotel as 5 stars, but both me and my girlfriend were bitten by bedbugs in many places after staying for two nights in room 306. Otherwise great hotel. Room was new. Slightly smelly, but that seem like a common problem in the area.

Great

A basic business hotel with a good breakfast. Breakfast is hot and cold food and free each day. Maid service is every 3 days only. Room are fairly new with some wear on drawers. Each room has microwave and refrigerator. Some rooms have showers and other bathtubs.

The hotel is great BUT it is on the outside of the arts district. We had to walk over 50 syringes and two guys cooking meth (with our child) to get to the arts district. Lots of homeless people in the area. Again, hotel is great.

Excellent for a quiet stay, and central location great to visit different parts of Asheville.

our non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. Thankfully we were only staying for a night!

It was a convenient location for West Asheville. Shower was unique with a half glass wall and no shower door. Very nice staff and good breakfast. Wonder if parking will be a problem after more stores open in the shopping plaza.

The property is very conveniently located for our trips to visit my oldest son and his fiance, and we'll be back. It's pet friendly. With 3 of us, it's nice to have the suite at the price of a single room at most comparable hotels.

Property was clean and staff was very polite.

I did not feel comfortable walking to and from the property. The cvs next door was convenient until I went in and they do not have shopping baskets or carts. Homeless and drug addicts everywhere. I will not return. I only stayed 1 night out of the 3 nights booked because I didn't feel my children were safe.

It was great. Only downfall was pets being allowed in eating area. Think it is very unsanitary and I could not eat in there

I had a great stay at this hotel. The location was convenient and is immediately adjacent to a shopping center and just off the interstate. The room was clean and comfortable. All the staff was courteous and attentive. The layout for breakfast was substantial with numerous options. The price was excellent.

Our stay was excellent. The staff was kind and helpful. The hotel was is good condition, clean, and very comfortable. Even the breakfast was tasty. Overall I've seen a decline in hotel quality at this price point and I was so happy to see that this was not the case at Country Inn in Asheville.

The hotel was in need of some updates. There was an odd smell in our room that I could never figure out. It smelled like a chemical smell. While the hotel was not filthy, they were definitely lax in taking care of the floors. There was discarded pieces of paper and food wrappers in parts of the hotel (stairwell, corner, next to front desk) that were not cleaned up the entire time we were there. In their defense they were in one of the hardest hit areas of Helene. The room served its purpose.

The main thing that was convenient to us is that it is about a 3 minute drive to UNCA so it was easy to drive back and forth to see him, then when we wanted to go to dinner, we could easily pick him up, then drive to our destination rather than hitting traffic both ways. Not a lot of restaurants around that we found- a couple of fast food places-but we had planned our dinner reservations already so it wasn’t a problem. Definitely a wonderful deal for such a great room, and the perfect location for what we were in town for.

Relatively new building but lots of details not in good condition. Room next to loud elevator, weird smell in room, smoke detector covered with plastic bag, shower curtain too short, … Did not meet expectations.
