Recently updated, clean, comfortable, convenient to restaurants, shopping, etc. Walkable to anything needed, including Harris Teeter grocery store. Great experience. Minor issue, seemed understaffed for breakfast on Sunday.

The staff member, Robert, was extremely pleasant and very courteous! He helped us store our electric bikes overnight inside the luggage room! Our view was very unpleasant.

My only complaints were the taste of the coffee and the parking. But being in Shirlington Village, it was just a quick walk over to Peet’s. Lots of restaurants nearby. I spent a lot of time outside the hotel. The desk clerks were nice and very helpful.

Our son lives in the area, but only has a 1 bedroom apt. We have tried many different hotel in DC and the area. This one just fits us. The surrounding area is filled with a nice variety of restaurants, bars, etc…even a movie theater, all in walking distance. This was our 4th stay and the staff is always so helpful.

Bed not comfortable otherwise it serves its purpose

If you’re catching a show at the amazing Signature Theatre in Shirlington, don’t worry about driving home late. Just grab a room here. It’s a minute walk and you’ll find a spotless property with the most comfortable beds.

Dining was non existent other Hilton gardens we have stayed at in the dc/arlington area were much better. Seemed like they were wrapping up construction upgrades. Breakfast was always a buffet and no bar for drinks and food.

Completely renovated hotel from the carpet through and including the bathrooms. Spotless in lobby, restaurant, gym, halls and the rooms. Very clean and quiet! The black out shades were so effective we slept 9 -10 hours, which has never happened. Staff super friendly and helpful. Looking for to staying here again. Chris Ng and the other Chris were very helpful!

It was overall a lovely experience. Huge corner room, though our view was of the garbage dumpsters, we weren’t there for the view. Everything was cozy, clean, and comfortable! Amenities were top notch. The hotel itself was beautiful on the inside. The best part about it though was the location. It’s next to EVERYTHING you could actually need. Great restaurants, the AMC theater, the best icecream I ever had at Jenni’s. And parking was easy once explained. I’d ONLY go back there if ever in the area again.

The best hotel in DC. It’s clean, the room is big, staff is kind. Free shuttle to the airport. There’s a lot of restaurants in the area. I left my books and earrings and they FedEx it to me right away. I will definitely be staying again in this hotel if I’m in DC.

This hotel was amazing. The staff was fantastic! Clean rooms and hotel overall. The shuttle was perfect for getting us to the metro so we could get to DC. Couldn't have had a better stay and experience. We highly recomend this hotel!!!

The room was clean and had a full kitchen with enough dishes, pans, etc to set myself up for my two week stay. The bathroom/shower was nice, however, I wish I had known (maybe it was noted and I never saw) that there were two steps up from the main room to the bath. Despite being right on a Main Street, the room was usually quiet (occasionally there was someone that liked to play loud music until 9 pm). There was free parking and a plus for long term renters- free laundry facilities in the basement. I felt safe in the neighborhood and there were many restaurants close by. Being an older solo traveler, I felt safe in the building and in my room. It should be noted for other older renters though that there is not an elevator and the stairs, though not many are definitely a workout especially dragging a 30+ lb luggage up or buying groceries. Several things I would suggest and they are small - I didn’t see potholders in the kitchen and a nightlight for the bathroom especially with the two steps up in the middle of the night, would probably be a good idea. Overall a great place to spend a few nights or a longer stay.

My only complaint is with their customer service. I wanted to see if i could git an eaier check in. Tried three different numbers with no answer. The AI virtual help was a joke because all it would do is spit my reservation back at me. The hotel is greal. The area is very nice. Just could work on acrual servicing your customers.

Great room. Well-appointed with a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. Large television and plenty of room. The walk-in shower had excellent water pressure. The hotel is in walking distance of several restaurants and a Harris Teeter grocery store. I recommend the Carlyle.

Great little hotel in the heart of Shirlington village… walk to the theater! Room is comfortable and lovely views.. nice beds and friendly front desk! Only wish breakfast would stay open longer otherwise everything perfect! Like I mentioned the only negative I can find is the breakfast stops too early but there is a lovely restaurant right next door.

The bed was very comfortable, we had an accessible room as requested, and it was spacious. The lighting in the room was insufficient. There was a floor lamp in one corner which did provide some light there was no lighting on one side of the bed. Nor was there a table there to put anything on. I don’t think whoever designed the room in the.” renovation process.” tried sleeping in at one night. The room has a Keurig and a refrigerator and a microwave. All of which are appreciated. However, getting enough coffee was a challenge. We had to go to the desk every day to get it additional pods. They were two of us. They were never 4 caffeinated pods although we had many decaf. Rooms were supposed to be cleaned every other day, which is fine… We checked in on Wednesday and expected the room to be cleaned on Friday, but it was not. When we went to the desk late afternoon, to get coffee and say the and room had not been cleaned the response was not courteous. The room did get cleaned and we did get fresh towels. The housekeeping staff was friendly.

The hotel looks new and spotless and room furnishings and lighting are good quality and convenient and very well thought out. The HVAC unfortunately made a high pitched whistling or shrieking sound and I had to leave it off, but it was a nice fall day and the room remained comfortable. The cleaners were courteous and pleasant to deal with, and the gym was excellent for this level hotel, and also immaculate. 3 treadmills, all in working order, was a particularly nice sight. The neighborhood is great for dining, and feels very safe and clean. Two of the three desk clerks were the only disappointments here. They never seemed interested in being helpful, so they weren't.

It was a stay, away from all the nonsense to focus on the marine Corp marathon. The family came with me which included two small dogs, whom became an issue. The hotel called me, I picked up, as I was heading back to hotel, just to inform me the dogs were barking, very professional throughout, due to me losing reservation due to the barking, headed back and the barking stopped and was informed by front desk that it should be kept supervised throughout. I complied. Ran my marathon and went home. The stay was good. Everything was clean and very presentable. 4.6 stars!

The shower was designed for handicap use, which may have contributed to the issue. I mentioned it to the front desk, but the staff member didn’t seem particularly concerned. Overall, I would stay here again. The location is excellent—just five minutes from where I needed to be and surrounded by plenty of restaurants within walking distance

Room and hotel were clean and bug-free. Hot water got barely luke-warm at night, which was inconvenient. Parking garage was across the street, which made us nervous, but there were no problems. Plenty of good restaurants in the neighborhood.

The staff was great. Pearl was exceptional. Reynard drove us in the shuttle and that made shopping very convenient. Will certainly stay her again.

The only con I have for this property is parking being across the street in a garage owned by condos. Parking for hotel is on 4th floor only and floor fills up quickly on weekends. The room was comfortable and safe. The staff were friendly. I wish the room was a little cooler temperature but overalls very nice. The only thing that was frustrating was the parking situation having to go across the street and up almost a block to a parking garage and only being able to park on the 4th floor. Would most likely stay again.

I had booked another hotel for our trip to Washington DC. When we arrived to the hotel, the area did not feel safe. We quickly booked this hotel and upon arrival was greeted by two extremely friendly employees at the front desk. The manager learned it was my first time in DC and upgraded us to a premium room. The area was beautiful and safe. There were many dining options close by and best of all a wonderful grocery store across the street for anything we wanted or needed.

Hotels was beautiful and very clean. Lovely area. Nice to be able to walk to nearby restaurants. Parking was a drawback. Have to unload the car before taking it to a parking lot which was an extra charge.

The hotel itself was nice and clean. But the parking garage being completely separate from the hotel and you had to walk to get to the parking garage was not fun when you had suitcases and bags. Also it’s 2025 all of the TVs should have streaming Systems on it. That was really disappointing to see that the TV did not have have that in my room. Overall my stay was very pleasant. Location was wonderful.

Great place to stay in village with many restaurants within walking distance

Our 2nd stay at this hotel…convenient to our son’s apartment and it is very easy to Uber. When we had a simple problem with out a/c the staff was right on it and solved it immediately. We will stay there again ;)

Parking was in a garage, unclear directions. We thought we were towed. We were given a phone number to call to get tied car back. Not helpful. Towing did not have the car. Thought it was stolen. About to call police. Car was found but they need a better parking system. They were NOT accommodating. General manager was gone all weekend so no one in charge

I have allergies and despite the deep cleaning that the hotel staff said they do in every room, I suffered greatly because I could still smell the pet fur and dander

The hotel is very modern, spacious and very clean! The staff were so helpful and accommodating! The restaurant/kitchen was amazing - the food was very savory and good size portions. We were there for a family event so there were a lot of us - coming & going! Tons of restaurants, grocery store and shops within walking distance!

The tile in the room had men’s footprint on them and the toilet paper was subpar. The restaurant staff was great and the food was good.

I have no complaints, even with parking being across the street in a parking garage, loading and unloading luggage was a breeze.The room was cIean, bed was comfortable, location is great. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to others.

Only recommendation is raise the room tv a little higher. With the bed being high it is a little awkward.

The toilet NEVER worked properly. Maintenance kept coming in and saying it was fixed but it never was. After 4 maintenance workers coming in, I finally gave up and learned to just keep flushing until it flushed. I would have expected a manager to check in with us after the first 2 times.

The room was really spacious and was comfortable. The staff was friendly. I really love that the hotel has so many options for food around

Only thing I didnt like was the fact that my suite had an out door patio but the grass and weeds were out of control.

Great property, breakfast made to order was really good. Very nice staff. Didn’t like that I had to walk the alley then take the elevator up to the parking lot.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The original room had a minor issue, but it was promptly and effectively resolved. Despite allowing pets, the hotel was exceptionally clean, and you couldn’t tell it was pet-friendly, even in the common areas. I plan to return and will definitely choose this hotel again. The area offers a wide range of activities and diverse food options to explore.

The hotel was very clean, the rooms were very nice, and it had many places within a walking distance.

Parking is half a block doable but can be inconvenient. Hotel is clean and room is clean and comfortable. A big plus hotel is located near great Resturants and Harris Teeter store is a block away.Bed very comfortable.

There is nothing but positive things to say about this hotel. Definitely a great spot to go back to while visiting DC area.

The location was fabulous and quiet. I was frustrated when I kept complaining about my TV not working and they did pay attention but ended up telling me it was ok and never worked completely correct

Nice hotel in Arlington near a lot of restaurants and a few shops. There's a nice linear park across the street. Parking was easy in a nearby garage. The hotel is very clean, quiet and comfortable.

This hotel was in a good location to access the DC area. It was clean with recent renovations to all the rooms. Overall, the experience was enjoyable. Parking was convenient.

Quiet area with easy walk to restaurants. Given price, was a little disappointed that no on site parking available and no credit for parking in separate building inconveniently located across the street but requiring drive around the block to get to. Also, 1st floor common area under construction so no dining area and area for convenience purchases jammed into small disorganized space. Just not pleased.

The room was great. Nice view, comfortable bed and pillows, clean walk-in shower, and good size.

Even though there was ongoing construction during my stay, I would stay there again. Great location. Shame they don’t offer shuttle services to Dulles.

I booked my stay w breakfast included, then told me when I got there they were doing construction and the kitchen wasn’t open so breakfast was ala cart, so I would have to pay extra. No thanks. Not acceptable.

In addition we were warned that the cleaning is done every other day and when I checked the towels I found a very dirty one. I asked for a replacement immediately but they didn't do it until the day the cleaning was done... two days with someone else's dirt in my room.

Shirlington offers tons of dining and parking is easy

Hotel under renovations. Continual noise during the day . Some of the staff were unhelpful. One in particular was extremely rude. Will not be staying here again .

This was a gift to my daughter and Son-in Law to stay in the great Shirlington area. It is there anniversary on the 23rd of April. They had a fantastic time

The hotel was under some construction, but we were informed of that prior to the stay. It really was a great hotel and in a fun and quaint village. My two cents...if you are not going to clean the room daily, which is fine, garbage still needs to be emptied. When you have a family, we bring back food, make coffee, etc, there were only two small garbage cans in the bathrooms, they need to be emptied daily. Extra towels would be nice as well.
