    The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice. Breakfast was decent but super crowded. For some reason the air conditioning was not on in the lobby or the hallways and was super hot. Other than that it was decent.

    Perfect for my stay with a HOT breakfast included and the gym to keep my routine regular. The absolute only downfall was the building being hot one day while they worked on the AC. My unit in my room worked perfectly ALWAYS!

    Clean room with comfy beds, nice shower, and in a good location. Crystal City is very convenient for coming in and out of DC, and is an interesting location on its own Parking is pretty expensive. The parking lot itself is cramped and smelly

    The front desk staff were friendly and very accommodating, I arrived early and was able to leave my luggage in a secure locked room while exploring in the area until check in time. There are many great eating establishments in easy walking distance. My room was spacious, spotless, quiet, and very comfortable. It was easy and quick to call the hotel for a shuttle from DCA when I arrived. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and provided many good options. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. I recommend this hotel and will stay here again next time I'm in the DC area.

    However, the staff was awesome! The person who checked us in was by herself and handling parking validation, check ins, and airport pickups. She was very friendly and efficient despite being solo and working in a warm lobby. The technician that came to our room was great. He came back twice and tried to make the best of the situation for us. Breakfast was skimpy and not great.

    We enjoyed our stay, the airport shuttle was super convenient and it was also huge for us to be able to store our luggage at the hotel after checkout so we could sight-see around DC during the day before flying out in the evening. The biggest negative was definitely the rowdiness of some school groups that were staying on our floor and some smells they produced (a lot of weed), but that is pretty much out of the hands of the hotel and more on who we happened to be staying there at the same time as.

    One of the best 4-day stays I have ever had. Upon registration, the staff was very helpful in answering all my questions. I asked for a room near the elevator since I walk with a cane. The room was spacious and just a few steps from the elevator. Lots of connections for my devices—and a clean, large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Large-screen TV: a mini refrigerator and a microwave were included. The free breakfast was very good. Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, waffles, a variety of juices, and coffee. There were also various breads and breakfast cereals. The staff let me know that there was a 10% discount for guests at a restaurant next door. Bottled water was available at the front desk at all times. I have to mention the shuttle bus driver who was informative about the area and a good driver. I will be back soon.

We were there when 8 th graders were visiting and the staff kept everything stocked well. There was ample seating. The airport shuttle was on a loop every 15 minutes and was easy to find and friendly.

    First time in DC. Missed our hotel shuttle because they didnt tell me there was a specific place to stand. Waited an hour. Got to the hotel and the lady at the desk was so nice. The hotel was beautiful, nice room. Everything was good UNTIL the morning shower. Hair was already wet when I realized there wasnt any shampoo.....The front desk said there wasn't anyone to bring shampoo but I could come down and get some......get down there and it turns out they ONLY HAD conditioner to give me....this place was a 10 star for me until that happened.

    I had to stay a week downtown for work and moved to this hotel for leisure. The downtown hotel was fine, but this place was nice. Everything was great. Spacious room, clean, microwave, QR codes for hotel information, restaurant list, great breakfast. Lots of restaurants, CVS in walkable distance. Airport shuttle guy was nice. Front desk folks were friendly. Im glad i stayed here.

    The hotel was conveniently located to DCA and was able to accommodate a late (after midnight) check in. On the surface, our room looked nice but it wasn’t cleaned well, There was significant/visible hair on the bathroom floor and in the shower. The bathroom was okay but not a great design/layout. A longer term stay would have been difficult for me due to lack of counter/storage space. No complimentary (Nestle :)) water unless you are a top tier frequent stayer. Also, when I realized I’d left a lg bag of toiletries, I phoned the hotel between 6-7pm and was told I would have to call back the following day because only housekeeping could check lost and found items and they had left for the day. Unfortunately my travel commenced early morning so I had to leave without my personal items.

    The rooms shower supplies were not full in one of the rooms I booked. My guest were have an issues with the air conditioning unit, and one of the cleaning staff were very rude and told them to call maintenance.The maintenance guy was very good came up and got everything situated other than that.The only problem I had was parking lot.They charged us forty eight dollars a parking, a parking garage that had no work in elevator and if it was all property, I could understand what the garage is on property,so it should actually be included in the price of the hotel for forty eight bucks.A night is kind of ridiculous, especially with no working elevator it should have been comps for any one parking during their stay during their stay

    We’ve stay at Hampton Inns many times and this was the first time we’ve had any concerns. Overall stay was okay. There was no elevator service to the parking garage, but this was stated when we arrived as due to elevator repair/reno and we were given tips to drop off luggage before parking, etc. But the breakfast was a fiasco. It ended at 9am which was a very surprising and chaotic/stressful both for many of the guests scrambling to get breakfast at the last minute. The poor employees were trying to balance doing their job and putting food away while hungry guests were trying to get food and having to beg staff for more time. Many of us didn’t notice the breakfast time posted when we arrived and I have never experienced a hotel breakfast that ends before 10am. Judging by the number of other guests who were also upset and or denied food, we weren’t the other ones caught off guard. And as professional and helpful as the staff tried to be, it also seemed like they face these difficulties with hungry/angry guests daily. Sadly, it seems like a corporate decision was made to cut corners at the expense of their paying guests. From what others were heard saying, Hampton Inn has been slowly making their breakfasts earlier over recent months by 30 minute increments. Just google “Hampton Inn breakfast times”…. apparently many chains are moving to this schedule, so be warned and get up early if you expect to actually eat the breakfast included with your stay!

    The shuttle from the airport had 2 hotel names on it so I didn't see it several times. The lady at your desk was very rude When I asked if it was unmarked. All she had to do was say the van said Hilton Garden and Hampton. She hung up on me 3 times. When I checked in she gave me a key card that didn't work. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure was great. Thank you for having all the liquids in the bathroom.

    The hotel location is good, uber was reasonable as it’s close to DC, the train station is about a 2 (long) blocks away but easy walk, there are a variety of food establishments and CVS within walking distance. Airport is close and the airport shuttle ran regularly. Points to note: - if you have a baby, keep your expectations low for the crib. Walk with your own crib sheets and your own bassinet if you can. Remind staff about the crib when you’re checking in. - there will be a damage hold on your credit card additional to your stay so be mindful. - coffee was good but you have to ask for non-dairy milk options (which the staff provided). - breakfast was good (egg, sausage, bread, fruit, waffles, yogurt & juice). - faucet in the suite (kitchenette area) didn’t have hot water. We recommend this location, just be mindful of the shortcomings if these are deal breakers for your stay.

    Clean and updated room close to the airport. Left before breakfast, would have been nice to have breakfast to go. Dropped rental car off at airport day before flight leaving and walked back to hotel. I could have used airport shuttle, but opted not to. Plenty a nice restaurants close by. The shuttle to airport was quick and east with a pleasant and helpful driver.

    The breakfast time was early and The check-in policy for changing the time due to flight cancellation is not fair at all. Unfortunately, even though I contacted the hotel about this, they charged me for the day I didn't use the room. For this reason, I will never choose this hotel again.

    I showed up to the hotel and they said they were overbooked and that my reservation through Expedia did not matter. At 2 AM I was walking around Washington DC trying to find a place to stay. This does not go well for me reusing Expedia again, or ever going to the Hampton Inn again.

Also our bathroom did not have a shower curtain, so we had to create a towel barrier to stop our bathroom from flooding when we took a shower this is just silly.

    Near Reagan airport The room was dark and had limited closet space. They advertise an airport shuttle but failed to tell us it doesn’t start running until 0430, too late for our flight. Also, breakfast didn’t start until 0600, also too late to be of any use to us. I booked a handicap chess room but it had a bathtub and shower combination, making it unusable for us. I was told I should specified a roll in shower room. Live and learn.

    The receptionist never smiled nor was kind. This is not the job for her. I asked for a receipt she refused to give me one until I confronted twice. The toilet didn’t flush properly. We had to flush twice or three times. We stayed on the 5th floor. One of the days the elevator was being worked on. It was out of use and an inconvenience for those who were handicapped or taking luggage downstairs. The breakfast was delicious. It was a hot and complementary. Eggs, omelets, sausage, waffles, french toast, assortment of fruits, bagels, cereal, juices and coffee. An exceptional breakfast. The beds were comfortable.

    The street noise is extremely loud. From the 7th floor, you can hear conversations from the sidewalks. The hotel is off a highway so the honking is constant. There must be a hospital nearby because the number of ambulances and fire trucks were shocking. It quiets down at night, but I’d suggest bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Note that breakfast ends at 9, although the checkin materials state 9:30. Positives: th airport shuttle drivers are incredibly nice and very reliable. In fact, all the staff are wonderful. Fantastic restaurants are walking distance, just about thee blocks away. Lyfts are only about $7-20 to get to the National Mall. Even with the street noise, I’d stay here again. It was a nice stay.

    Additionally, the breakfast arrangements were inadequate for the number of guests. Breakfast was scheduled from 6:00 am to 9:00 am, but the breakfast area was very small and overcrowded. On the first day, when we arrived around 8:00–8:30 am, there was no seating available, and we could only take coffee and toast before leaving. The situation was further worsened by the fact that only one elevator was operational, resulting in long wait times, as both guests and housekeeping staff were using the same elevator.     The rooms are pretty spacious besides the bathrooms, they are a little cramped. The room and hotel itself is clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Parking is expensive, $48 a night to park in garage. Breakfast was not the greatest but its nice to have the option. Its from 6-9 am and gets pretty busy. They do have an airport shuttle which we did not use and are about 5 mins from the airport. The hotel is in a good location close to plenty of restaurants and a short drive to DC.

    We had a hole above our shower to which I had asked to be fixed it never was, even though we were told it would be . Shower never got HOT! it was lukewarm at best. Trash wasn’t taken out even though we asked for it. Freezer froze our food. Tv controller kept turning tv off. Room was clean though. Great location!

    The breakfast was great. Staff was helpful but only one person was available at the front desk, and you had to wait too long sometimes to get attention.     Numerous signs of aged decor... could barely operate blinds in room due to rough chain pulls. The door to the room was crooked, and allowed a TON of noise and light through, holes in the wall from what I assume were missing artwork or old fixtures in the bathroom... just overall dingy around the edges. Traffic noise from seven floors below was also excessive.

    Staff was courteous, friendly, efficient and always helpful. First room had no water pressure. Given a new room which was fine but safe didn't work (probably bad battery). Rooms were clean. Slept very well. Having one elevator was not good. Breakfasts were okay and liked the variety. Cooks and staff were great. Having restaurant row close and walkable was convenient. Metro and Mall was also an easy walk. Shuttle and driver a plus. I would come back.

    From arriving to the airport and calling Hampton Inn for a shuttle, the experience was amazing. The driver was safe both to and from when checking in and out. Check-in was a breeze and I was able to do so through the app and select my room. Considering I stayed for 5 nights, the staff moved me to another room, due to the noise of the elevator dings which was very considerate! I greatly appreciated that! The window view facing the front busy street of both Hampton and the Hilton next door was breathtaking! Breakfast every morning was always full (early bird gets the worm) and a great variety of items to choose from. My encounter with all staff members was top-notch. The room was clean and perfect. The TV displaying my name as a welcome feature was very personable and fun! Never any issues with fresh towels and light clean-up done once (at my request, as most nights we left the DND sign up) while we were there. The comfort of the beds and fresh linens was perfect. The ability to sleep with one window shade down and still see the night sky/buildings lite up was so perfect! I will definitely be staying here again when we return in the spring!

    Room is nice and spacious and has been updated as it seems all areas in hotel have been. My one problem is that it’s loud as if the walls and windows are thin. So much so that it’s hard to sleep as you can hear every car, especially if it’s a louder car with loud mufflers. It was terrible. I was in 522 which faces a busy road and I could hear everything outside. If I stay next time I will ask to stay towards the middle of the hotel.

    Shuttle took 25 minutes after contacting the property to get picked up. Contacted the front desk twice and was told driver was on the way the first time and that he was there the second time, but he wasn’t. First night found a flying bug crawling on the ceiling. Notified the front desk the next morning. They wrote it down and said they’d let housekeeping know. That was that. Other than that, great location, noce rooms, decent price.

    A great hotel has all the necessary features: free airport shuttle which starts 4:30am, no any other hotel start at this early. Free breakfast which has many options, fruit, oatmeal, etc. I like the gym, which is much bigger than other hotels I have been staying. We arrived at noon and got into our room without any additional charge. Staff are helpful and warm. Airport shuttle bus driver is very nice and helpful. Bed is comfortable and showers has high pressure and different water styles, very comfortable. Location is good, a lots of restaurants within 5 minutes walk, we liked a Thailand restaurant called Urban Thai. 5 minutes drive to airport & less than 10 minutes to the Washington national mall. Pentagon is nearby. I have been to many same level of hotels, this is the best. We definitely will choose this hotel in the future.

    Brooklyn stay here a little different for me. I was not on vacation or here for work. I was displaced from my apartment, so I lived here for two weeks and they are kind enough to allow animals with a fee. That being said, unless your animals are in cages, they will not service your room, so I would have to go to the front desk and ask for my own sheets and linen, but there were certain staff members who would get upset about when I would ask for linens, but obviously I was still working my regular job so I didn’t really have control over when I was able to ask for sheets. They have complementary breakfast that they rotate every day sometimes the same stuff two days in a row, but with added new additions. The food isn’t the best but it’s free and complementary and it’s good to just get some sort of food in your system. They don’t offer room service, but there is another hotel connected to this one that has dinner. Overall, the rooms were clean my sink smell a little weird but it didn’t bother me too much. If you’re looking to buy a quick snack though, I would avoid this place because of course they hike up prices of super cheap items like drinks and snacks. Overall, my day was OK. I was a little frustrated by the hospitality in the evenings when I would ask for extra sheets and trash bags, just because I wasn’t giving them on a regular basis. Also, the photo of the pool online is not their pool, look somewhere else if you want a pool included.

    Breakfast was good, coffee could use work. The eggs were always fresh, if they had French toast sticks they would be hard. Cereal was always good and they had oatmeal each morning. You could make your own waffles and there was always two pastry’s. But the coffee needed help, they only offered Light Roast and it was bad. I am a medium/dark drinker so that could be the issue too. Our room was excellent. We had a 1 bedroom that had a living area with small pull out couch, lots of room with a bar area that had microwave, fridge, coffee maker and sink. We had lots of room. My only complaint with the room is the bathroom. The sink is open to the room and then the door to the toilet/shower was so awkward. The light for the toilet/shower was on the outside of the room and the door opened into the toilet/shower (barely clearing the toilet). So if you needed to use the toilet in the middle of the night the bright light illuminated the entire room while you were squeezing your way into the toilet/shower. Honestly the doorway could have been completely changed to close in the entire area. This is my only complaint about the room. We never heard airplanes despite being so close to the airport, we felt safe and were about a block away from a CVS. We were close to the Metro.

    The young lady who checked us in was rude and demanding, insisting that my spouse produce ID, even though I had already shown mine (same last name.) We are an elderly couple, disabled and we're from travel. For a while, it looked like we were not going to find the other ID. When I questioned why it was necessary since I had shown mine, the clerk stated that many people show up at the wrong hotel. (??Hello?) She had already found our reservation. It appeared that she was just being a control freak. NOT a welcome interaction.

    The hotel is conveniently located near the Reagan National Airport. A short shuttle drive over and we were checked in immediately. Our room was adequate though there were a few things that didn't work (the automatic blinds, handicap shower allowed water to go all over bathroom). Only one elevator working which was not ideal with the number of guests staying at the hotel. Son utilized fitness center which he says was very good. Overall, we can recommend staying here for convenience to airport and Metro into downtown DC.

Normally I would wrote a bad review of 3 or less stars for such an experience, however this review is 5 out of 5 stars. My disabled father was on the 8th floor and couldn’t walk down the stairs. The front desk provided outstanding service The called for the Fire and Ambulance service to bring him safely down the stairs in a “stair chair” with no charge, no hassle. They made up for the elevator problem with the most outstanding service I have experienced in a very long time! Thank you Hampton Inn for your professionalism and dedication to customer service!

    During my stay, there was only 1 elevator working. The hotel staff had notices displayed and let us know during check-in. Breakfast was great. A lot more variety than you find at other hotels. The room was clean, stocked with all the essentials. AC worked. The TV was giving me some issues with the channels being not available.

    The hotel has more than 5 floors and two elevators. During our stay, one of the elevators was out of service. The housekeeping staff and all the guests were using ONE ELEVATOR!!! So you can imagine the wait during breakfast time and checkout time. We nearly missed our flight because we waited for over 20 minutes on our floor for the elevator to checkout and go to the airport. Every time the elevator would stop on our floor it was completely full, and we could could not fit in with our luggage. Unacceptable!!!

    Terrible stay. Awful management. Only one elevator was working. That broke down too. Management remained unbothered and showed no concern. Was selling water bottles for $3. With 96 degrees temperature, we ended up going up and coming down from 8th floor. Have never ever encountered such lack of empathy.

    I stay at Hampton as it always is a great stay at a reasonable price. Staff went above and beyond to help my 88 yr old father this trip. Providing shower chair, kitchen staff offering to get him food so he didn't need to stand in line, and most significantly - when both elevators were suddenly out of order at checkout he was on the 8th floor and couldn't use the stairs. Staff volunteered to call Fire Rescue to get him to the lobby safely (no cost). They went out of their way to make things right when the unexpected occurred.

    AC was either freezing or doesn’t work. Shades (electric) were broken, room smelled of cat urine. One elevator was broken during our entire 4 day stay. Requested room to be moved, never heard from the manager after my phone call to them. Would not stay here again. Ever.

    Expedia canceled my reservation with this hotel. Probably by accident. I was devastated but the staffs were helpful and they manage to the problem and find a way to let me stay in the hotel. I cannot thank them more. I will not use Expedia again, but I want to use this hotel again.
