Lux Hotel and Spa

Everything was mostly good however when we arrived, the air conditioner was not in our room so it was very hot and smelled stale and took a while to cool down and get the smell out. The restaurant was smoky and dingy, but the food was good. Everything else in the hotel was fine however, on our last day, I saw a mouse in the elevator. I alerted the front desk and they did not seem super concerned and he gave me a free bag of M&Ms for my trouble and that was it likely will not be staying here again due to the mice issue.

This place looked good from the outside into the lobby, but that is where it stops. The so called breakfast every day was plastic tasting flat sausage and powder eggs, toast and orange juice that taste like water that’s it. The air condition in the room leaked with water on the carpet. It stayed there for the whole time we were there. No maid service, no fresh towels.

Advertised as a hotel and spa. Never saw a spa anywhere. Instead we were greeted with a huge loud party at the attached convention center that was not known about. The party when on until 11:00 pm. We were in what was listed as a family suite but the party music was so loud it vibrated the walls and our family could not sleep until I was over. Not ideal for the baby or the older children. The air conditioning was old and just on the exterior wall so it did not cool the kids room or the bathroom at all. The breakfast that was included was minimal, coffee, cereal, toast and eggs, no fruit or anything fresh. The whole place smelled odd and the carpet seemed to need to be shampooed. The one good thing I can say is the location good. We will not be returning to this hotel.

The bed was very comfortable, Air conditioning was soooo nice! Room was very clean and the staff were super friendly! If you’re wanting a very decent place to stay for an affordable price, this is the right place.

Visit was pleasant.

Wifi did not work. Power bar for the microwave, tv refrigerator, light did not work so we had to take turns with the outlet . Shower curtain rod was falling down. Shower faucet did not work correctly. Room key stoped working after first night of first of two night stay.

I was scared about the security overnight cos they had party in the hall when I checked in and also people (crowd) were at the restaurant or club whatever it was called. Secondly there were too many people talking beside my room by 12 to 1 am on my second night which kept me awake for awhile. It’s a nice place though and I will still lodge there if need be, all the amenities works well. They cleaned up my room when I went out and my things were left the way I left them. They changed my towel as well. The receptionist were so welcoming too.

The first room given to us was not clean enough to stay in. The following room we were given was better. The air-conditioning was off when we arrived so the room was 82 when we turned it on. Took all night to get to 70. The room was mostly clean minus the dead Roach in the bathroom on the floor next to the trash can. The beds were made and fairly comfortable. The hallway on 6th floor had a musty smell maybe due to AC in the rooms being off but unknown.

The hotel was clean and beautiful. The person at the counter was very knowledgeable and addressed my needs. 100% recommend.

This was my first time staying at the Lux hotel. I chose it because it was close to the stadium where my grand daughter's graduation was held and because it was supposed to have a restaurant. When we arrived tired and not wanting to drive anymore, we were told that the restaurant was close. My family states the restaurant closed down reasons unsure. However, the carpet in the rooms are past due for a good shampooing and the bathtub could use some attention removing the ring around it and a good repair and paint job over the tub and ceiling. Perhaps the other rooms were in better shape. We did'nt complain because we were only there for one night and the beds were clean and comfortable. My husband said the breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. The front desk staff was nice as well.

Broken iron. Then replaced broken iron with another broken iron. Broken hair dryer. Dirty bathroom. They didn't offer to waive the early check in fee for all of my inconveniences. Terrible experience.

The room was okay- there were scuffs all over the walls, but other than that is was fine there. Unfortunately there is a restaurant that is part of the hotel and every Saturday throws a raging pool party until the bar closes at 2am. This was NOT advertised through the hotel site or anything. The parking was horrible coming back to the hotel Saturday night, police and security everywhere as a precaution (which is fine but it makes you wonder what has happened in the past). If I had know this would be going on I would have 100% booked a different hotel. My son couldn’t sleep with all the booming music and noise. Then to top it off that morning guests were smoking weed on our floor and our room started to reek of it. Absolutely horrible. Will never return.

I expected a more relaxed and professional environment from a hotel and spa. The actual room was fine, but the overall experience was dragged down heavily by the crowd and lack of control in the common areas.

Very disappointed in this hotel. They listed having a spa for massages but it was told it was “under construction”. News they could have shown on their website. Everything looked like it needed some major touch ups, WiFi was also spotty. The parking lot was in shambles, I didn’t exactly feel safe there. The breakfast was lacking big time, I’ve never seen so little at a free breakfast. I will not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it.

The Zuri bar needs to be better staffed. They have a very simple menu yet the food takes forever even when there are only 3 tables. Plastic forks and knives are tacky.

When you turned on the bathtub to run bath water, the shower stayed on, there was not a stopper in the tub and the shower curtain didn’t cover the whole shower.

We liked the breakfast was hot and made well even though it wasn’t as healthy fruits would’ve been nice to add to it. We like the fact that the pricing was good and the fact that it was close to everything front desk was amazing. We didn’t like that almost every other room in the hall smelt like pungent marijuana. It made one of my employees sick. She had to stay rested for a few hours. It was a big inconvenience at my expense the hall to get to the door stay dirty it had leaves and had dirt it had stains. One of my kids locked me out way before my checkout time that was an inconvenience. The parking lot had underage girls drinking and taking pictures, exposing body parts, leaving their trash everywhere and it was still not picked up the next day. My room had busted balloons on the bottom of the little couch. That was there when we moved it for a different angle the drawers were dirty in the inside.

Almost got hit twice trying to turn in to the entrance because coming off the interstate, you had to get over 2 lanes in a short distance with a lot of traffic to get to the entrance--WHICH HAD NO SIGN! Also, there was little to no breakfast--which was a downer.

The hotel was clean. The spa tub was not working at first. But eventually it was fixed. And i really enjoyed it.

There were naked people in the pool area. One morning my children were swimming and a man placed his hands inside a woman's shorts (we had to leave). Very nasty place-not ok for children. Sofa bed was rusted and dirty sheets were on it. The mattress was hard on the king size bed and everything needs to be upgraded.

The room was amazing. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was not working. The only issue with the room was that this hotel has a lot of pool parties. When we arrived after dinner there were several police cars and a huge number of kids walking around. We asked if this was on going, and the desk clerk said they do have a lot of pool parties.

The spa has never been opened in the 5 times I've stayed here since 2017. The ice machines produce moldy bits in their product, so haven't been properly cleaned in years, if ever. I imagine this hotel is only still in business due to its proximity to the AT&T Arlington stadium nearby. They probably are sold out for games, concerts and other events, no doubt with inflated rates. Such a pity..

We decided to go down to the lounge and pool for a night cap, and the atmosphere was welcoming and the waitresses were kind and helped us with kindness. Through the night, our beds and pillows were very comfortable. I slept very good and the shower was clean and had great water pressure. The next evening we stayed at the Hilton, as this was just an extra night we didn’t plan on at the Lux. The Lux completely out shined the Hilton. I would definitely stay here again. Wonderful evening.

Everybody was great, rooms were clean, no shower mats though with a very slippery shower. I had to hold on to something to stand in the shower. Called the front desk they didn't have any. Breakfast was good though

Hotel in general was top-notch wish that the restaurant and the bar would’ve been open more than just on weekends but other than that it’s in a convenient location. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

This hotel was very nice for the price the pool was awesome, it was not busy while we were here but the game room and the bar were closed which not a big deal, we only wish the breakfast bar had more options! But overall nice!

The staff are not people persons not very friendly, since when do they not come to clean the room unless asked? no sign to put up for clean my room or do not disturb? The pool area is very poor and dirty the hall that leads to the pool is disgusting dirty and smells. They did come and bring towels and that was all, bed not made and garbage not thrown out! This place gets a one star from me.

I did not stay but canceled once arrived. I must say the staff was very nice and considerate. Booked thru Hotels.com photos and rating of 4.6 all looked good. Price was good as well. Upon arriving we found the parking lot full of folks attending a motorcycle club reunion. Stepping out of the car we instantly smelled pot and saw a large party going on poolside. Checked out a few more reviews and with the help of AI I found out the Motorcycle club reunion would go on until 11:00. People where in the parking lot I believe with no intention of staying at the hotel. We felt very uncomfortable and felt our car was usafe in the parking lot. We canceled our reservation and went somewhere else. I do thank the staff for canceling our reservation without penalty and doing so quickly. Check out more reviews besides Hotel.com in the future. Trip Advisory was not as kind to the property and already had feedback similar to ours.

I had a really positive experience at Lux Hotel and Spa. After everything I went through while in Texas, I truly appreciated their kindness and understanding. They went above and beyond by allowing me to check in early as a courtesy, which made a stressful situation much easier to handle. Their compassion and excellent customer service really stood out, and it made my stay that much more comfortable and memorable.

The kids room was out of day. It was a old TV in there in the bed was not as comfortable as the regular King room.

Rooms can be more dusty cleaned and my problem was that in the morning I forgot a cockroach sitting under my floor mat shower 😞. A big hole in the wall where the toilet water connects and the toilet paper support came off on my first touch.

I did not stay at the hotel because the facility rooms were unsanitary and dirty. I was first put into Room 321, the tub was dirty and dull covers and pillows were dirty. Then they switched me to Room 311, and it was worse, it had dirty towels still left in the bathroom, the carpet was not vacuumed. Then they switched me to room 215 And the bidding had brown soiled and pubic hair on it. I asked for my money back and still have not received my refund or 100.00 deposit back. The front desk was not helpful at all and tried to down play my feelings.

We had booked the room with the “jacuzzi” tub. It never worked while we were there and there was “nothing they could do about it”. The room smelled like mold and mildew, lights didn’t work, the sheets smelled bad… etc. won’t be booking here again.
