Good place to sleep 6 people in a room

By far the worst place I've ever stayed. The room was filthy, and I found roaches inside. There was a two-inch gap under the door that made it easy for bugs and outside air to come in. I also found old food left in the drawers, and the room had a musty, moldy smell that was impossible to ignore. To make matters worse, there were exposed electrical outlets that were rusted, damaged, and looked like a serious safety hazard. It felt like basic maintenance and cleanliness had been ignored for a long time. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you're looking for a clean, safe place to stay, keep driving and spend your money somewhere else. This place is a absolute joke. Expedia it’s a shame you even have this place on here!

Room was ok. Cleaning was not at wife’s level but after a quick run to HEB, and after a mop, fabuloso, dawn dish soap and some Lysol the tub was back white, toilet looked new, smelled fresh and floor was no longer greasy. Other than that paint looked newer and beds were comfortable for the quick stop. Not a bad place to stop in for work, but not the vacation spot. Overall was ok for the quick stop.

It was close to conn brown harbor where I was launching the boat but staff was rude and the place is pretty run down. Per google reviews there was atleast at one point a lot of mold and a rat problem. Raj (the manager) was very rude when I asked him about it. However we did not see signs of these things in the rooms that we were assigned. The room was not as horrible as I saw they once were so that is a big plus Dirty floors, stained sheets, I’ll never stay here again honestly.

There was a piece of kids clothing hanging over the bathroom door and hair on the bathroom tub and floor, but beds were clean and wifi was iffy. The staff was nice though😅😅 OH and ants in the bathroom sink if I rinsed my kids cups out in it.

The entire situation it felt very unsafe, and I couldn't take a bath nor a shower with hot water because the shower handle wasn't functional and rigged. I was stunk for 2 days. I couldn't wait to go home to wash my ass. The lady also charged a $20 fee for damages I was scammed by her. Why would she charge a fee when she clearly knew what the room looked like and the shower not having hot water nor functioning. What a scam never again and you booking.com take this trash of a place off your list what a waste it was.

Even with low rates you would expect cleanses . The exterior was presentable We were going to stay a few hours to rest before a fishing trip . Checking in we were assigned a room and it was horrible roaches around we killed a few for them and walked out . Very unsanitary I wouldn’t recommend. Staff asked about relocating but I denied . We were better off leaving . I told staff we’re better sleeping in our vehicle . Non refundable of course please use that for at least DIY pest control

The door had a huge gap at the bottom so I used their towels to close it off The plumbing just sits in the tub and sink and takes a while to go down Only good thing I can say is the propriety is quiet

The place is nothing like the pictures on y’all’s website the pictures inaccurately depicted the rooms the rooms are very dirty unclean and are unstayable me and my wife walked in and walked right back out in 30sec the room was very undesirable had a terrible smell cobwebs everywhere restroom was filthy I have been trying to get a refund! The place be torn down and no longer available on this platform

Maid service only left fresh towels the 1st morning. Didn't make the bed up. The fridge is broken, doesn't cool at all. And the tub was very slick and couldn't take a good shower. Also shower curtain doesn't keep water from getting on the floor.

I love the bed and restroom. I rented for work and I got my $ worth. My go to for when I have to go work in Corpus area. Middle of Rockport and Corpus Christi and next to Port Aransas. Tv kept going off for no reason but I didn't mind I was on my laptop the whole time. Just addressing the issue.

nothing at all like it was described in the description, couldn't go inside to check in I had to check in through a window outside,the office was pretty much closed my entire stay, had to pay a $50 deposit that I still haven't got back , lady at the desk said it takes 48 hours so we will see, don't understand what the deposit was for the room I stayed in needed a lot of tlc, says free wifi but there was no wifi, the room was very unclean, bathtub needs to be bleached had to buy cleaner to clean before I would take a shower, under the bed looked like it hadn't been swept or mopped in months, mini fridge definitely hadn't been cleaned in a while, I had no choice but to stay there because I couldn't afford to pay for another hotel room because they wouldn't let me cancel my stay and get my money back, this hotel was not worth the money they charged me to stay there, not to mention people were up outside partying until 4 am being loud and the hotel staff allowed it

Everything, it was horrible from the start tried to cancel my reservations but wasn’t able to and had to move rooms because the first room they put me was filthy and no power outlets worked and the second room we were put in didn’t have hot water!

No breakfast at this location and room was not as clean as should be or what we expected. Bed linen, tub. Location is far from where we have rented before closer to the main town. Room not clean.linen especially and tub.

For an old complex, it was pretty clean and decent to stay. Room had roaches bad. The pillows were bad. Bag of drugs laying on the walk path. And car was severely damaged by another tenant and was not offered much assistance with law enforcement.

Nothing, it was disgusting and scary. Everything. There was blood on the walls, the smell of mold and awful other stench permeated the room. There was NO SAFETY LOCK on the room and I was a single woman with a child. The towels were brown and discolored. Holes in walls with wires coming out.

The wall had a hole and was patched poorly and there was a light that was hanging from the wall with can be an electrical issue.

Roach motel. It smells like mold. Horrible management. Not sure how Raj has this place still in business. Save your self any trouble and don’t book here. Coming from a mom of 2 trying to have a family get an away turned into a night mare with this place. Don’t book here , pay someone else. Go more into port aransas and pay the little extra…this place literally looks abandoned.. and the troubles in comes with is def not worth it. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

Good location right in the heart of Aransas Pass. Room smelled extremely strong of mildew. We were in a tight spot and literally couldn't go anywhere else for the night and honestly, sleeping in my car might not have been a terrible choice. Not only was the room soft with mold but the toilet wasn't even sealed to the ground, the towels were stained sandpaper, and worst of all the desk person tried to steal from us when we paid in cash thinking we wouldn't notice. Then when I called him out for it, showing the reservation price and asking for receipt all of a sudden we were getting money back. Is ten bucks really that worth it? Pathetic.

For starters, the whole office building is on lock up. You can't go inside. The workers are not friendly. They rip you off with expensive taxes and deposits even after you already paid. They say you will get refunded on your card for deposits but then totally rip you off. The room smells bad, the sheets have cigarette burns and stains. There's no where to hang your clothes. No drawers. No office access. No grass for the dogs. There's a tiny square that is full of fish guts and trash. The parking and hotel access is horrendous. Oh, and dont sit on the couches in the delux rooms. They are disgusting.

I will NEVER stay here again. I have never taken a shower with my shoes on but I did here. I had to clean before we could even go to bed. Killed a cockroach on the wall. And the safety lock on the door did NOT secure the door. Only 2 outlets worked 1 light out of the 3 worked. Expedia you should NOT have this one listed. The online pictures are extremely misleading. The property is in very poor condition. The rooms are basically a bed in a room. They shove 3 full size beds into a small efficacy size room side by side, the television is rigged wired to the wall. Wires exposed on wall lamps, Bathroom was horrendous and towels were stained yellow. Ur not given the option to NOT have cleaning service.so i would not recommend leaving ANY expensive items in the room. I did not complete my stay there and checked out immediately. I WILL NEVER stay here again.

Front desk rep was kind and courtious. BUT the rating for the tidiness of the room was extremely dirty. Left over water bottles on the side of bed, blood stains on the wall. Definitely not as seen in the advertising pictures. Outlets didn’t work, light switch coverings in the bathroom were missing, tile was falling from the baseboards. The bolt for the lock was broken, shower head was crusted over. Not child safe or sanitary

I recently booked 2 hotel rooms and when I got to the location it was not what l expected from the booking. I immediately went and complained about the rooms and demanded that I get my money back. The rooms were very dirty/ filthy and was not what they have posted in the booking app.

Horrible place to stay, I was half tempted to sleep in my car. Bathroom shower was broke and the tub was so gross I felt like I would have been dirtier after bathing. The entry door had large gaps the sunlight lit up the room from it.

It’s not terrible for the price and amount of people one room sleeps just minor things that make it not so clean. There was a bag of trash out side the door of the room and the windows looked stained with brown stuff.

It was terrible the rooms where so dirty and the bed sheets had stains and cigarette burn wholes, and the floor hadn’t been swept in a while and I had my infant son with me and could not let him stay in those conditions so we left and had to find another hotel last minute.

The hotel has had some renovations but the bathroom can use some updates. The room was clean but there was a smell inside most likely from something used to clean which made it hard to fall asleep. This hotel is older and needs some love, but it was overall what we expected. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was hot. The bed was firmly comfortable and easily suited a get away weekend for my husband and me. It’s not fancy, but it worked!

Not so good First they wouldn’t change us to the bottom because they were full and they didn’t want to ask politely for one of the guest to move on top because my dad can’t go up and down stairs due to his bad knees and the second night we got moved down to the bottom and in room 212 there is rus on the bath tub the fridge and freezer don’t work and on the bottom room the curtains don’t shut good and the lights from outside was shinning on to where my dad couldn’t sleep. My son had lost his phone there and I had asked the front desk to see if that had found it and they said no and I called when I got home to see if anyone had turned it in and still nothing it’s an iPhone wit$ the soccer player Ranaldo on it and there is no passcode to get in the phone so if any one has seen it please let me know. Also we had to wait about an hour almost 2 hours to come and fix the toilet in room 111

Almost an hour away from the beach. The hotel needs a deep cleaning it’s horrible. Move the beds and you will see the dirt and stained floors. There was poop on the bathroom door when we walked in. Never again will I stay here.

It was dirty, light fixtures had broken cords, the toilet was not securely bolted to the floor, the bathroom lacked hooks for hanging wet towels, the door had a one-inch gap between it and the floor, and the room reeked of mold and mildew. When we checked in, we were informed that we were in an “economy room” and that we could upgrade to a “deluxe room” for an additional $60 per night. (It sounded like a “bait and switch”) We declined. The hotel has a policy that no refunds would be given after check-in, so we decided to keep the room as a matter of principle. We do not recommend this hotel unless saving money is your only criterion.

This was the dirtiest room. I have ever been in. Table was dirty, mold all under the sink, walked about 15 feet after shower to the bed had to go back and wash feet again had to wear flips all the time. I would not recommend at all.

The place was filthy, sink was leaking, the microwave was not working and it stunk so bad, not worth a penny nobody should be renting a room like that. So no, I do not recommend this place to anybody. I ended up cutting my trip short. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures to share with you.

I have never in my life had such a miserable experience with the hotel room we get there we pay our room we go to the room there's feces Nickelodeon the shower was filthy black with mold everywhere and the bedding was stained so we went straight back downstairs and they would not refund us this place needs to be shut down by the health department it is that nasty I would never ever tell anybody about that place I wouldn't let my dog stay there it's that gross but they kept your money it would not refund it expecting you to stay and feel if there was a minus 100 for the rating that is what they would get it's that bad I wouldn't recommend this place I wouldn't even think about this place but remember this this is not a direct reflection on hotels.com they have no idea that the property with this nasty I always get good deals with hotels.com and they were surprised that I was when I told him what it was like

It was an amazing stay especially for the price, the room was clean and beautiful.. The only think was that we had no towels in the room but we had some that we brought so it was ok. Overall I really liked it ♥️

Very nice and quiet just an old property. Needs a few repairs. All in all, very clean and well kept. Good beach access good pool. Beautiful grass.

Door still somehow hard to open -"trim" was flooring haphazardly glued to wall that wasn't even the same as the actual floor. Also a lot of the "trim" was broken off. -fire alarm broken with wires hanging out - electrical outlets sparked if plugged into directly. Had to use surge protector - chunks missing from toilet cover - caulk everywhere but where it belongs. Mildew growing due to this. -drain spits back up dirty water with mildew mid day - paint overspray everywhere. Headboard, brass, even the bathtub was painted -mini fridge broken and door covered in rust so much that it looked like food was crusted to the door. - 2 light fixtures out I cleaned it my first night and realized most of its really bad repair work. The room I booked online was not available when I arrived, so I was offered a different room with only 2 beds and a pullout couch instread of the 3 beds. I was also told I would get a discount and since I had already payed they would refund me the discount. I still haven't received any refund. Its veen a week and nothing.

Shower had hair on the walls, bugs in shower, shower itself ready to fall through the floor, after two people showered , water came up through the flooring in the room and floor stayed wet all night. Had to use room towels to make a somewhat safe walkway to the bathroom. Called to report issue, response was, "OH IT'S JUST HUMIDITY IN THE ROOM"!!!! Unfortunately no other room available due to holiday weekend, booked through expedia so no options for a refund. Spoke with hotel concierge, asked for room to be cleaned and extra towels left so create a walking path for night 2. Owners/staff (?) Wlwere nice to deal with but this place should be condemed. We threw the towel down on the ground after the shower and scooted next to the bed with it and the whole towel was yellow brown. The only good thing I can say is I asked the front to have someone change the sheets which he said they would. Came back from fishing and they did look cleaning until I pulled the sheet all the way back just to see hair at the feet again. The rate is just crazy for something I could’ve got nicer somewhere else. We planned a last minute trip to port Aransas and this one was one of the only few left available for that day. Very surprised to find our room clean and updated. Very spacious and close to the Ferry. Loved our time here and will be back soon.

A cup of coffee is always appreciated. This is the first time that I was not able to get a cup of coffee on the premises. This is a very barebones motel. To get the room that I wanted, I had to pay a surcharge upon arrival. Classic bait and switch. Cleanliness also left a lot to be desired.

When entering the room the back of the doors and walls looked dirty. Should have turned around and left. Cold shower and woke in the morning to a cockroach in the sink.

Absolutely horrible property. I was planning to stay just one night but I ended up checking out early and going elsewhere. The property is outdated and poorly mantained, outlets don’t work, bathrooms need work. The motel is infested with German cockroaches and bed bugs.

The pelican Inn has all the feel of a small hotel, with all the accommodations of a big hotel. Conveniently locate in the center of everything. You can be in Port Aransas in 30 minutes.

This place needs to be shut down by the health department. Avoid at all cost. Spend the extra $10-20 & find a place that’s actually decent enough to not leave poop in the toilet, rotten food in the fridge, dirty filthy grimey floors, full of mold from the pillows to the ceiling. Had to spend money at Walmart just to sleep there. Bought a mattress cover, pillow, blanket because the bed was so filthy, broom, mop, bleach because I couldn’t walk on the floor without my slides getting grimey. If you have socks they will turn black. Then to comeback from Walmart & some guy with face tattoos is cleaning the room mopping the floors stirring the dirt around with an oily sticky chemical that made it worst & then still left the rotten food in the fridge. Asked the manager for a refund for the remaining 6 days of my stay & they refused. Then kick you out for showing them pics of how bad it is. Any platform that promotes this place should be a shame to do business with them. I never write reviews but this place took the cake for one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. I’m working night shift construction & was waiting for my first payday to find a nicer place so I tried to book one more day after spending $400 for the 7days that they wouldn’t refund. I go to the office show the guy all the pics of the mold and dirt to see if I could at least get discount and he refused to let me book 1more night. So tired from work I just wanted to sleep now I gotta wait till 3pm check in elsewhere

For the price and rooms was fair the housekeeper and her crew did a amazing job the hotel was peaceful and quite will return.

The room was newly renovated. Very clean. Absolutely no information on amenities, how to find channels on the TV or the legally required cost range information. Management needs to carefully go through all the rooms and address these missing items.

Want to pay over the phone due to not being able to to make it the fist night but frend was, they would not allow that.Place was no clean had bed bug. TV had no signal after complaining to front desk it magicly started working. Did not stay the 2nd night.
