We reserved a king room online and got a room with two queens next to housekeeping and elevators. Noisy at times. Bed very firm. Very bright parking lot lights. Staff very nice and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and hot. This is a minimalist hotel.

Love the shampoo and conditioner and body wash they provide for you. The bed was very comfortable. I did not like finding a clump of black curly hair sitting on the drain and without having glasses on, was stepped on and thought I touched an animal. I also did not like finding a brown recluse in the room while traveling with service animals.

Tiny little room, but clean. This facility is fine, but I’m done with Hilton as dog fees are too much. Stayed at 3 hiltons in less than a week while on road trip. Cost me $225 for a small dog to stay with us, $75 per night for 3 nights. Never again.

Very modern hotel and room! The staff was very friendly and professional and made check-in very easy! The breakfast area was open and very well-lit with many breakfast options available. The breakfast area and lobby had many places to sit and eat breakfast or work on computers, phones, etc. Parking was ample and safe. Getting to the hotel was a little confusing with the way the frontage roads were laid out. Overall, a very good experience!

This Tru by Hilton, as all Tru Hotels we have stayed at, is excellent. This stay however I accidentally booked an accessible room. Room location was on the first floor and very close to everything. It was quite noisy. I usually request and receive a room on an upper floor.

Bill was incorrect called property and said incidental appeared on my pending charge and would not be on final charge. The pending charge also did match email do we will see if corrected. Everything. On our cross country road trip, this was the best place we stayed. We showed up late and the lot was entirely full, and the girls at the desk were about to change shifts, some went out and moved her car so we could park. The bed was more comfortable than my memory foam with down topper at home, the shower had excellent pressure and it didn’t melt your skin if you turned the handle a mm to far. It was clean, quiet, and in a safe area. I don’t know what else I could have asked for. That I only stayed here on my eastbound leg of our trip, and missed out on the westbound leg.

After a long day of driving, we did not want to get back in the car, so we were happy to be able to walk to the Red Robin for dinner. Breakfast the next morning that the hotel provided was excellent!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and neat. The facilities were spacious, clean and inviting.

The staff was amazing and very helpful but my bed frame made a lot of noise even though it was just me and my dog staying there. The wheelchair accessibility was lacking. The roll in shower was great but the thresholds to get in the room and in the bathroom were extremely frustrating and definitely not wheelchair friendly. The fact that there was no pool was a disappointment.

Hotels pictures online very deceiving- very cheap feeling , room was very low budget , liquid stains on wall , broken wall fixtures , towels were old and fraying on ends , shower was updated but dirty base . Then was charged a $50 fee for dog without being told in advance .

The lobby was stocked with games, pet treats and fresh coffee. The room had clean surfaces but could use a deep clean (grout, corners, rim under the sink all had gooey buildup). Everything smelled clean and fresh and staff were very nice. Breakfast was pretty good, lots of options including hot eggs and sausage.

The tvs do not work. We stayed here for Netflix and it kept shutting down and not working. We would call the office and they did nothing to help. Would not stay here again. Ever.

Also, the fan in the bathroom ran constantly and I had no way to turn it off. The next morning there was a smell. When I told the lady she asked if it smells like sewer- In fact it did! I think they knew about this flaw and ran a fan 24/7.

The staff was wonderful. The only real problem was the air conditioning unit.. It sounded like a jet engine every time that it kicked on and whistled a constant tune when it turned off. It was hard to get a good nights sleep with all of the noise. Otherwise everything was good.

Breakfast was of low quality food. Thin bacon and artificial eggs. At least they tasted fake. No coffee in room not a positive but not critical. Staff nice. No outside trash can to help us reset for our travel.

The floor mat was at the end of its life and needed to be replaced because it was threadbare.

I never do online reviews but wow. This place. It was in rough shape! Clearly a rebranded older property and I just thought Hilton had higher standards. The staff was very nice and efficient or I would’ve given one star. My room smelled BAD, there were hairs all over it, and the shower was scummy old and brown. The TV would glitch and freeze after 5 minutes. The elevator shuddered so bad that people got scared and grabbed the walls. They claimed to have a “gourmet market” and it was Doritos, pop tarts, cup of noodles, and a bunch of beer. Since I was starving I opted for the noodles, but then the microwave didn’t work. Again, the staff was very nice but it’s clear Hilton bought a dated old property and did an incredibly budget upgrade, and it is just nasty. I have pretty low standards but dang- this place was really disappointing. Never again. Makes zero sense that it was rated highly!

It gave a feeling like I’m in low budget motel. Perplexity say it has got a minimalistic feel. I would say it got Walmart or Dollar General feel. Stay away from it if you’re little better than Walmart or greyhound crowd.

All was great except for the beds. The bed did not fit the frame and the mattress moved a lot. One bed had a very squeaky spring so every movement there was a very loud noise. The pillows were not great either. The breakfast was great and staff excellent.

Everything was excellent other than the coffee. The coffee brand you use isn't good at any of the Tru hotels. Breakfast was great and the room was comfortable! We enjoyed the places you have to hang out with friends and family.

The halls and elevator did not feel climate controlled, it was very cold in both. The lobby was nice and had several lounging places (even a pool table) They did include breakfast, but it was pretty basic. No waffle maker, just a pancake maker that made soggy pancakes. All in all it was adequate for our needs of a place to stay for the night. The Staff was Excellent!

Typical Hilton brand clean, comfortable, but a no frills hotel at least for Hilton. Newer well maintained building in a quiet, safe area with free parking. Good price, comfortable beds, quiet…great for a one night stay while traveling down I-40. Best part of my stay was the lady at the front desk, kind, sweet, gave me a couple Tylenol from her purse when I discovered they ran out in their vending area.

Kudos to the room design team - loved the table on wheels. Perfect for laptop work or for a tv dinner table. It tucked under the tv stand perfectly when it wasn’t needed.

Roll in shower has a hump that wheelchair cannot get over making the grab bar inaccessible. Bed mattress bottoms out (no pillow top), talked to breakfast cook re: soggy bacon And not being any or enough available, yet each 3 days bacon was obviously being cooked AFTER breakfast bar served, as you could smell it. Breakfast sausage substitute undercooked and greasy. Oatmeal runny. The excuse of her not having time or any didn’t hold true. Especially watching her stand there on her phone. I guess staff breakfast takes priority ! Front desk staff and cleaning staff very nice and accommodating though. Good snack and drink selection for reasonable prices. But no cash purchase available, so we went next door to Wyndham for that. Lots of parking. Though it seemed the accessible stalls were being abused by some that clearly were not physically challenged. Dog owners terrible at cleaning up poos during our 4 nights but lots of areas to let them do their business with bags and cans provided by hotel. Great location to get to popular sites.

I recently stayed for 8 nights and really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly and polite which goes a long way. Lacy, Dwight, Norma, and the others....thank you! The hotel was seemingly full every night, but it was always quiet. Breakfast 6-9. Pancakes, eggs, alternating bacon and sausage daily. Breads, drinks, etc. Drawbacks: My room was quite small. Big enough for just 1 person. It lacked counter space to set up your belongings. No drawers or closet. I was alone so, I was able to put my stuff on the other bed. The parking lot was small and full by sunset and if you didn't get a spot, you would have to park at the other hotel next door. Most nights, many stalls were taken by trucks with their construction trailers or UHauls, travel trailers, buses. So, if you arrive late, you'll have to walk over from the lot next door (2-3 minutes). Would I stay again? Absolutely!! I'll be back at the end of the month!!

Coffee and hot water in lobby barely warm. Later I left my room and found a dog roaming the hallway and it had left a surprise on the carpet. I reported it to the front desk and she stated yes she knew but when she looked earlier the dog was not there. I told it was there now and again no response as if it would be resolved. Upon returning another guest said they would take the dog to their room and call the front desk and that guest cleaned up the mess. That was nice of them but again the front desk seemed to be I different to resolving the issue. Breakfast very basic and limited selection. Good location but based on the front desk attitude and the room not having coffee maker at minimum I will pass on in the future.

Our hotel accommodations very clean.The colors and shapes of the window shades were jarring. (Reminiscent of the 60’s decor?) More soothing colors throughout the hotel would have been appreciated. The lobby was quite spacious and light. Did not shop nearby. The staff were always very knowledgeable and pleasant but sometimes hard to find. For example, in the morning there were guests lined up at the front ready to check out and no one was there. I had to ask the staff in the morning to fill or replace the coffee and/or tea because the canisters either were empty or the contents lukewarm. The beds were quite comfortable. Air conditioning worked fine. Location of the hotel was great for easy on/off the freeway and there was loads of retail available very near by. The rate was reasonable though I didn’t realize when I booked that I would not earn my points since I inadvertently booked through a third party. The internet worked fine. As our stay was very brief, there is nothing else to report. The quality of the breakfast was adequate, nothing special or different. Toasting bread was a challenge. The toaster was outdated and inadequate in size. It truly needs replacing as people gave up with the long wait. As always, I Appreciated the complimentary bottles of water upon arrival and the next morning I filled my empty bottles from the dispenser (nice touch) but questioned the quality of the water from the dispenser as the taste was awful. I did ask but was it really filtered water?

For being new, wallpaper was coming off wall, seems coming apart in carpet, fridge didn’t work well, our key wouldn’t operate the back door. Liked the breakfast. Load music coming from another room and Breanne was able to resolve

What I like from this hotel is there’s no carpet in the rooms so it feels much cleaner that way .

Great place to stay

Hotel and staff were great. Bed was awful, so hard and uncomfortable.

Understanding this is an affordable option, the general condition of the property was ok, however the room was not clean. There was wet toilet paper stuck to the shower threshold and door - like it was wet and then dried there. The floor was swept but our feet were dirty after walking on it barefoot. Finally, the towel that I pulled to use after my shower had a few clumps of dog hair on it. Would not stay in a Tru property again.

Great facility, looks new and well taken care of. Price was reasonable and location is convenient. Breakfast was good. Only complain being cloth hangers were too high and short people couldn't reach them. And there's no liners in the trash cans. Otherwise great place to stay if you are passing by!

The room and hotel was very clean and comfortable. The tv in the room had an issue. Plenty of shopping near by. The buffet breakfast was very good with a suggestion to cook bacon longer.

.. My husband and I are on a 3 week roadtrip. I booked this hotel based on reviews a few months ago and knowing it was a Hilton it should have been good. However, it wasn’t. After driving 14 hours all we wanted to do was shower and sleep. Room was a little small but really clean. That was the one plus. Shower was terrible, repeat terrible. The spot where the head connects to the pipe had a leak so water sprayed everywhere except the direction it was suppose to leaving really low pressure. The door of the shower seems to be missing a part on the bottom so water was everywhere.. basically has to use all the towels to clean that. Bed was not super comfortable but not the worse. We came do for breakfast at 8:30 and it ends at 9 am. Nothing wa slept except bread, pancakes, and cereal. When asked they said they were likely not making anything else since it was so late… Hilton do better😳. For a similar price I could have stayed at another hotel with similar rating.. I was actually really disappointed in this hotel. I won’t be back. Skip this hotel and find another

This was my first time staying at a Tru Hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the amenities. The staff were pleasant, ample parking, clean rooms, a work out room, and games in the first floor. I would not hesitate to stay again at Tru property again based on this experience.

There was nothing major wrong with the property. I booked through Expedia and received a booking number but no confirmation that would have enabled me to check in online. My wife complained about the barking dogs across the hall from us. Incessant barking until the owners returned, then the dogs shut up .

Hotel was nice, however we had two dogs in the room next to us and one across the hall that were having a barking contest. At that point it didn’t matter what the room or service was like.

First time staying at Tru by Hilton. Guest room had fewer amenities (hanging rack instead of closet, no refrigerator/mw, coffee maker, etc.) but hotel had nice amenities (work areas, fitness room, snacks/drinks for purchase). Clean and modern decor. Also reasonably priced. Will stay here again.

Issues with a not so fresh and clean bed.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Girl at front counter was about rude like I was intrupting her and the other girl working. Breakfast was good. I would definitely stay again

This is the only place we’ve stayed that doesn’t have a covered unloading area. It was raining so we had to wait to unload. Somebody really screwed up when designing that hotel. Other than that, nice place.

I thought our room was small. As I am sure you are aware, the shower door design leaves a very strong potential of water leaking onto the floor. We were told that would be a $25 charge put on for any essentials we used in the room and would be reimbursed when we left. What essentials? Not even a coffee maker in the room or a closet to hang our clothes.

So, it seems that TRU hotels by Hilton are the bargain basement of hotels. There is no water cups, no ice tub, infact, no ice anywhere, no microwave, no closet or any place to hang stuff, no shampoos or conditioners, no in-room coffee makers, it's a bed and a toilet. Don't expect more.

Dog friendly

Such an incredible breakfast!! And love the pops the colour all around the hotel. The billiards table is great after a long day on the road.

Small room, one chair. Had to go down to the lobby to have a glass of wine with my wife. AC in the room pretty loud. I woke up each time it kicked on. Breakfast was meh. Yogurt was vanilla from a machine. Fruit was tiny green apples.

It was a good quick stay!

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Our king room however was small and reminded us of a dorm room.

It was cool that they had a pool table. The staff were friendly and helpful.

My only complaint was that we had a 15 minute wait to check in. More help is needed to check people in during peak times for check-in.

Lovely staff and comfy room. A few maintenance issues need attending too including blackout shades out of track and missing gaskets in shower glass leading to water leakage. Great value regardless

Stayed here August 11, 2025. Checked in and was given a room on the fourth floor, the minute I opened the door and went into the room it smelled like poop so bad, I looked around, could not find where it was coming from. I went back downstairs, the girl apologized and gave me another room, was told the manager would call me, he never did. In the next room they gave us, the sink in the bathroom drained slowly and no shampoo was in the dispenser also the blankets on the beds were dingy. When I checked out I told the person at the counter about the discrepancies in the room and he just said oh, ok. No apology, it was like why are you telling me this. I was so disappointed in how bad the rooms were, I stayed at this hotel about a year ago, it was much better then. I do not recommend staying here, I rarely say this, but I cannot recommend this hotel.

Best thermostat controller I’ve had in a hotel

This is our second stay and not as good as the first. Breakfast was just okay. Not too many options. The room was sooo noisy. There is a wind noise coming in from under the door. I could hear everything in the hall and outside. Made for a rough night. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable.

My family and I ones a year at least are traveling from Arizona to Illinois road trip. We always stop at this hotel at least ones either going or coming back we live it

We just spent one night. The room could be more spacious and another hand rail on inside of shower is needed to shut the door. The rail was on the outside of the shower door nothing to grab to shut from inside.

I appreciated the immediate attention given to our requests.

Ok hotel with breakfast, nothing great or terrible for the price.

The room (two queen beds) was quite small with no closet but the design of the room was efficient with a modern feel—for instance, there was a red pole with hangers in one corner and plenty of aesthetic hooks to hang small bags, etc. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The gym was great! For cardio choices: a Peloton bike (don’t need a subscription to use it if you have other bike workouts you do), two high-quality treadmills, and a high-quality elliptical/cross trainer machine. There was a rack of dumbbells with pairs starting at 10-lbs through 50-lbs. There were also kettle bells, medicine balls, exercise bands, a pull-up bar, a workout bench, foam rollers, one plyo box, and a yoga ball. There was enough space to do a floor workout with room for doing moves like burpees and skaters, etc. We appreciated the water filtration fountain in the lobby for refilling water bottles. There was also a water bowl for dogs along with complimentary dog treats! Plus a great pool table in the lobby! Breakfast included a spot for making pancakes, as well as pre-made scrambled eggs, oatmeal with toppings, a selection of cereals (Cheerios, fruit loops, Raisin Bran, etc), vanilla yogurt, and pastries. We were surprised there were no fruit options, not even bananas. Overall a great spot for a quick overnight in Amarillo.

Great stay, and better than expected! It was a great price for what we got! The staff was supper friendly and helpful. There are nearby dining options that stay open late. There were multiple mirrors in the room, so that was nice. Would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area!

There needs to be a larger covered drive because it was raining as we were leaving so we got wet loading the car. Also, the lobby was leaking through the windows and under the back doors. The staff was doing their best to clean it up. Overall, a good stay.
