What matters most to us is that the place is clean, and there are no roaches. Check! Next, a fridge and microwave are important. They had a nice, larger compact fridge. I took off a star because there was no microwave, and it was expensive, like 85+/night and we always have to purchase 2 nights because we sleep during the day and checkout is usually at 11. So we were actually there less than 24 hours. Just arrived late morning to sleep and head out the same night. Otherwise, a great place to stay. We were in the back side and it was pretty quiet, except for a short period when some people were trying to tow a car from the parking lot. Seemed safe and right off the highway. So if your room is in the front, you might hear more traffic/hotel noise. We worry about noise since we are daytime sleepers and I have a lot of anxiety. We were not close to the ice machine, or the outside entry doors, so we didn't have that noise either. It's almost like they knew us. It was great, except for the no microwave and how much it cost. We come through Amarillo several times a year on our way to and from Louisiana, so we would stay again, I just wish their prices were lower. We usually stay somewhere else that costs less, but they were booked. Oh, and the AC worked great! It was June. It had rained, so it wasn't super hot that morning, but the sun did come out before we checked in. We had booked for the night before, so we could check in the next morning. It was nice that they allowed that.

Was just finding something to lay our heads for three nights. Spacious room with dinning table and seating for two and a cushioned livingroom type chair. Refrigerator too! Please dont have high expectations for the facilities. It is hard running businesses these days and the fact that its open and doesnt cost an arm and a leg was helpful for our budget. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Beds and bathroom were clean and we truly appreciated that!

The staff was pleasant, The parking was convenient, the AC blew cold and the inclusion of a large mini fridge was nice, other than that I have no good things to say about this property. Rooms and hallways are poorly maintained with low drop ceilings, peeling wallpaper, multiple burnt out lights, rust on the fixture and an unforgivable smell that will linger with you, Im certain this property hasn't been updated since the late 90's including the bedding. I'd recommend spending a little more money and staying literally anywhere else.

This is one of the best places to be able to bring your dogs first of all It smelled clean it was well kept and they charged about 10 or $15 for animal cat or dog and that was really fair. They also had bottom floors where you could go through the meat through around towards the inside of the building and then you can also have another door that goes outside the building outside back and forth so that helped. If you do bring a dog do not walk your dog near that gas station that's on the corner because it's closed down and there's open wires in the area. Other than that Camelot kept that Camelot vibe was pretty cool.

I found bed bugs but the rooms are so dark I didnt see it until I found one dead that I had been sleeping on my lastnight then upon further inspection they where everywhere in the bathroom behind the tv in my bed in the plastic under the phone in the corners of the room where I also found crickets and all sorts of bugs painted into the corners the beds where staind badly and tagged so much my girls back is hurting they did refund me for 1 night but thats not near enough compensation I went to the front desk nicely but they immediately got defensive and just wanted me gone... I had more money worth of just clothes in there for a week than the hotel cost thats not even all of it... DO NOT STAY unless you want to take some freinds home with you

One the worst Hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the bed covers had not been cleaned stains on sheets, and pubic hair on sheets. Was moved to another room it was even worse, sockets old out damaged would hold phone chargers kept falling out of the socket. Curtains torn , white paint on curtains, bathroom shower water continuously leaking, only offered 2 small commentary soaps that broke in half once water hit it. No trash bag in trash can the room was very dimly because of only two small lamps that didn’t offer very much light, one of the bulbs was blown out , had to have replaced , the staff had no clue how to turn on lamp. And lastly it smelled really bad in the hallway , no elevator , walls are super thin you could hear the noise and neighbors very clearly.I would not recommend this place to no one , nor I ever stay there again.🙁😡👎

Nothing stood out out upon regarding amenities or anything other than a room, the hotel offered. This has to be the worst room.I've ever stayed in in my life.And i'm sixty three years old. The only thing that did workout was a rate that was offered. The hotel we steed at the night before said they were charging a seventy seven dollars with tax.And my card was charged a hundred dollars. So for that, I was thankful because it was a horrible, horrible room.And experience. Ohh I didn't even think to take pictures.So unfortunately, I have none to post.8 Nothing

Just a place to sleep when you have a long day on the road. Place needs renovations everywhere. It is very noisy due to how close is to the freeway. The front desk person really showed she didn’t want to be there. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Then the receptionist was kinda rude... got my key went through the side door and an even worse smell in the hallway at this point I was just really tired. Got to my room and it was clean water pressure was good. Then when I went to lay on the bed it felt like laying on a solid board very uncomfortable maybe the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in... I couldn't wait to check out and get home that's for sure. I won't be staying there again. Between the smell, the bad attitude receptionist, and that hard bed it's a no for me.

Comfy beds, clean place, nice exterior. No breakfast. Smoky smell from casino. The place is outdated. There was no coffee maker, microwave or refrigerator in room. There was only one roll of tp and enough towels and cloths for one person.

We stayed in a smoking room as it was the only room available and Amarillo was sold out. Room was absolute dump, ceiling tiles in bathroom ready to come down, blanket rough and had holes, window curtains with water stains and holes. No excuse for a hotel selling rooms to be this run down. Spend your money somewhere else.

The TV Went Blank While Watching It Contacted The Office No One Came To Fix It

The way you have to come in through a certain door or key gets blocked.

Room seemed rin down. Fridge seemed to be more warm than cold.

Convenient for travel. Right there at I40. Sam's Club Fuel station 5 minutes away.

The entire place smells like an ashtray. The room was a nonsmoking room but it still stunk. Some bad type of incense that was so strong I had to spray my cologne in the air just to sleep in the room. And worst of all some random guy in a jeep was camped out in front of my room. He stayed there until 5am before the hotel security finally came and asked him to move. I felt very uneasy and barely got any sleep. I could have stayed at the Comfort Inn for $10 more. I learned my lesson this time.

Just the location. Everything in the hotel smelled bad. The tiolets, bed, pillows, even towels has a bad smell. I had to check out early in the middle of the night. After coming out, even my clothes were smelling bad.

Really nice hotel especially for the price which was extremely reasonable. Staff was nice and helpful. Place looked clean including the room.

I requested a lower level roomas the Camelot doesn't have an elevator and my husband is w/c dependent. I was given a room up on the 2nd floor, up 2 sets of stairs. The heat didn't work properly. We were not given fresh towels even though I gave housekeeping our dirty ones. We had fleas in our bed. The male clerk argued with me the hotel didn't have to disclose that my accommodations couldn't be met even though they confirmed that they had what I wanted in a room and didn't have to give us a troom on the 1st floor even though my husband is disabled. There is an older white gentleman that works and lives at the Camelot Inn. He wears glasses and works front desk. He is very unprofessional and disrespectful. I was 30 minutes late paying for my room because I had to charge my phone and he came and told me to pack my stuff and get out by 11:30. I looked at my phone and it was 11:38. And he kept ranting and yelling at me and told me if I wasn't going to pay for the room I had to get all my stuff out by 11:15. And it was 11:38.. I told him I was paying for it and politely shut the door in his face from being attacked like that. After paying for the room online he came back to my room banging on the door and told me to get my ID and get down there. His whole demeanor is very threatening and unprofessional and I would prefer not to interact with this guy at all if I ever come back to stay at this Motel. I was totally humiliated and embarrassed and felt very threatened

The night staff is a bit afraid acting as they talk through glass. The rooms are ok the beds are cheep feeling. The hotel is ok for the cheep price. Clean but old.

Super cute stay in a castle! It’s super out dated, but we love that sort of thing. I wish I could have seen it in its prime! Worth it to ask the staff about the history of the place! So cool! Still clean, comfortable, my kid loved waking up and finding out we were in a castle!

Slept with clothes on and showered with flip flops on. If we didnt just drive 12 hours and arrived at 1130pm we would have left. Kept luggage in car and a towel on the bed. Do not stay!!!!!!! Looks nothing like pictures.

The property is pretty dated. For a place to sleep only it was good. However there is a smell in the hallway as soon as you enter and in the room that smells like a nursing home and hospital. If I had to stay more than one day I wouldn’t have been able to do it. Other than that my stay was great.

This is for sure a roach motel. Made the stop on the way through amarillo. The smell throughout the place reminds me of burning rubber and an old folks home mixed in one. There were no bugs but the conditions definitely made us look! The highway noise was almost unbearable, but eventually became a white noise. For the price it got the job done but Id probably look somewhere else for the night. Definitely not going back.

The hotel was very nice. A little old but still very nice. the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room had a king size bed and the room was big. Lots of space to open our 2 suitcases and leave them open. We had a table with 2 chairs and another chair for relaxing in. I was told you can get hot water at the front desk at any time and they do serve coffee in the morning. Also take note that the one side of the hotel faces the highway so it is noisy. Maybe the back would be better.

The hotel was very nice. A little old but still very nice. the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room had a king size bed and the room was big. Lots of space to open our 2 suitcases and leave them open. We had a table with 2 chairs and another chair for relaxing in. Its old. The ceiling clearly have water damage in the bathroom and ceiling damage from im not sure in the bed room. But it was clean. I felt safe. Fit my budget. Would use Camelot Inn again.

I found hair on the pillow leading me to believe the bedding had not been changed. The mattress was very old, had a big depression in it and lacked enough padding to mot feel the springs.

It was a short one night stay on my trip back to Colorado Springs. The hotel was a bit out dated, but generally clean, quiet, and comfortable. Spacious and pet friendly. Of course it has room to improve, but with price so ideal lets not be so unrealistic.

There's a fridge. There's no microwave in the room, but the accommodating staff will provide one on request. There's no breakfast and there's no coffee in the room, but morning coffee is provided in the common area. Pretty good value in my book.

I told her I would leave them in the trailer, that they were in while traveling, as it was padlocked. She said I couldn’t leave them unattended. Gracious, they’re ranch dogs, accustomed, and acclimated. House trained, quiet, obedient. I paid her the $20. I asked for a bottom floor, quiet room. She gave me a room at the front corner, next to I-40. Wow, was it noisy. I should have went back and requested a different room. I was tired, and had just driven over 700 miles, pulling a stock trailer. The room had prior damage, which I photographed, so they wouldn’t try to blame me. The gentleman at the desk, the next morning, was pleasant. I won’t be staying there again…..

Upon checkin the hotel itself smelled terrible. The room looked like we were in the 70s. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. We decided to check out early and no one would come to the desk for us to return our room key.

My room was the highlight. The bed was firm but not too firm. When I checked in the lady was quiet and said very little to me. She did explain how to get to my room and that the outside door opened only from inside the room. Nothing was said about a complimentary breakfast and I was very tired and didn’t think to ask. While taking a shower the tub filled with about an inch and a half of water. Not a big deal but it made it more difficult to move and make sure I didn’t fall as there were no safety rails, which would have been nice since I am 73 and do get light-headed from time to time. She did give me a ground floor room which I very much appreciated.

It was quiet for a day sleeper.it was convenient to the job site, staff wasn’t knocking on your door at 10:30 wanting to know if your checking out or not. It was reasonable as far as motels go for a room.My husband was wondering where all the camels hung out.He wanted to ride one.LoL.

I was able to get a smoking room and there was plenty of parking. Also not a noisy hotel.

The advantages of the king-size bed, non-smoking motel room we stayed in were the spaciousness, cleanliness, the presence of a dining table, and the smiling and helpful staff. However, the lack of a hair dryer and the lack of a hitch, the inability to stop the fan noise of the air conditioner, and the lack of a ventilation mechanism in the bathroom were the disadvantages.

Everything looked old and about wore out. It was hard to tell if the room was truly clean due to the room needed painting and updated. The pictures on line looked better than the actual room we stayed in. But it did serve a purpose. A place to sleep and a shower.

Run down. First clerk very nice. The next day clerk rude and nasty- refused to give a copy of receipt.

The hotel is not new but seems to be well maintained, I had no issues with the room and accomodations, they have a small fridge that was very useful to me. No microwave is provided. I liked this hotel for the price I paid.

This is my go-to place to stop when traveling several times a year between Arizona and Ohio. It is a no-frills, somewhat outdated property, but I always find it to be clean & comfortable, with a home-like feeling. I like having room access between both the hallway and my parking spot right outside! I also appreciate being able to bring my dog along for the night's rest. I'll be back again & again!

Not comfortable overall. Very old. The bath doesn’t drain the water while you are showering. The mattresses are not comfortable The room and bathroom don't have enough light, they are very dark.

Very cute hotel. Loved the facade. The room was nice and cool but the door stuck pretty tight. The neighbors door apparently did too because he slammed it all night

People were knocking at my back door at midnight had someone trying to get in my room. Mildew in the restroom room smelled damp and like smoke in remember you I had a smoke free room. It was just last resort because I was tired of driving but never again.

This hotel cracked me up. It’s definitely older. The decor is wildly outdated in a charming way. Beds were definitely spring-y. It was clean, low-cost, and the staff was proactive and kind. I accidentally booked a smoking room and they fixed it before I even asked them to when they saw we had kids. A great low-cost option when you need a place to sleep.
