Reviews
The hotel is generally well-received with guests appreciating its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. Many guests also mention the hotel's good value for money. However, some guests have issues with noise, either from other guests or the surrounding area, and a few have complained about the quality of the breakfast provided.

Linen is smelly, roaches in the room, limited breakfast items. Not a good experience

I had made a reservation at this hotel for the weekend. On the day I needed to check in, I was dealing with a delayed flight all morning. I arrived at the hotel between 7 and 8 p.m. My spouse had called to inform them that my check-in would be later than expected, and they allowed it. I understand that the payment needs to be processed, but how can I expect that to happen when I had no internet access to transfer my funds for 8 hours? After being told that it was okay for me to check in later and for them to cancel my booking.
- 1/5
My star scoring is not fully reflective of my room stay. I was here only for the weekend. Had planned to stay for 2 nights and had to cancel for the second night. Thank God I did. I was not notified that the room I had reserved was not available and was put into an ada compliant room with double Queen beds when all I needed was a single king. I wasn't completely upset about that. Until I got to the room. The bathroom was disgusting. It had model and scum build up all over the shower. The bathroom door was dirty at the touch points as well as the wall and light switch. Honestly if I could have found a better location at a reasonable price I would have left right then. Given the price I paid to stay for a single night. Lord, why am I coming into a room with a bathroom that's filthy and covered in mold. Check your stay rates when you rooms look like this. Also notify your customers when a change like this is going to happen. Would be nice to get at least a partial refund on this. Not happy and I just feel gross staying in a room that dirty. I'll never be going back. If you want to see photos and video go check my Google review

No lower level rooms, rooms were "Ok" clean.
- 3/5
good location, easy access to route 66 and interstate.breakfast was good
- 3/5
Clean basic rooms great value and definitely good for value for a one night stay . Breakfast had a hot option which was great
- 5/5
This has been the best hotel I have ever been
- 3/5
People still working on the roof at 8:00pm. Room lacked any kind of desk to accomodate a computer.
- 4/5
aaa
- 4/5
The bathroom was not very clean. Our room was dated with carpet.
- 2/5
Bathroom was still dirty, room was musty smelling. They were doing roof maintenance which is understandable but there was no warning and they went till about 8 PM.
- 4/5
Not bad for a quick stay
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Bed was very comfortable. Medium to firm bed. Room 244 has a STRONG smell of dog poop. I guess they charge a deposit to have you pet stay. BUT THEY NEED TO USE THAT MONEY TO CLEAN OR CHANGE THE CARPET. Breakfast was okay. Waffle machine, cereal, boiled eggs. Biscuits gravy.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and neat. Beds were comfortable!
- 5/5
Love the courtyard! Room was great, nice and clean. Large fridge.
- 2/5
Staff was nice and recommended the Aspen Grill for dinner which was delicious. The roof is being replaced or worked on which was loud and made for inconvenient parking. The room was old and there was a dead beetle in the bathroom. The room and bathroom were in desperate need of remodeling. We were in a handicapped accessible room that lacked accessibility.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
The room was clean, we got a handy parking spot everything we came back to the motel & we will be back possibly in a month. Thank you!!!
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great with a variety of food provided. I would recommend this little hotel ro anyone passing through Amarillo.
- 2/5
Walkways and stairwells were filthy. Because of this, I will not be staying there again.
- 4/5
The room was comfortable and clean. Fridge, microwave, bath/shower, one-cup coffee maker. The TV was small and the remote had no guide. There is a nice outdoor sitting area.
- 5/5
We had a very good experience here at Atrea Inn. Restrooms and the entire room was very clean. They have a very pretty courtyard which they have decorated aesthetically where you can sit and chill under the dar sky.
- 5/5
The property was very new and well maintained exceeding my expectations based on the price I paid. My biggest issue was the fact that the laundry did not take credit cards. I generally do not use cash I only brought enough quart for the $3 wash but did not have enough for the dryer. If I were passing through again I would stay here but bring more quarters
- 1/5
Just a bed! No table to eat your dinner on just a solo computer chair next to the bed. Courtyard was great but that's about it. Half the night the TV was out. I understand this hotel is cheap but atleast provide a table in your rooms.
- 2/5
was looking forward to staying here. it looked better on the photos online. i felt like the motel 6 i've stayed at was much cleaner and also cheaper
- 2/5
The breakfast does not have any eggs or meat. The staff was nice and helpful. Room was mostly clean. Could not find a menu on the TV. Beds were comfortable, and outlets all worked. A maintenance man is onsite 24/7, and appears to keep busy. The hotel is old but kept in good shape.
- 3/5
The beds were very comfortable and rooms were clean. For the establishment being smoke free there were cigarette buds every where. A lot of noise so if you are a light sleeper you won’t get much rest.
- 5/5
Super cute & clean. Very pet friendly! Great outdoor area for relaxing!
- 5/5
The entire experience was amazing. I would recommend anyone to stay at this property.
- 2/5
This location was really sketchy. We did not feel safe and had theft concerns about our vehicle contents. There were people hanging out in the parking lot, drinking. There was a party a few units down from us. The room made strange clicking noises at night. Diesel trucks would start up at 4 am several times outside out room. We slept very little.
- 1/5
The shower was filthy. I mean gross. There was still hair in it and gunk in the corner. The shower floor was dirty. I refused to shower. People were outside smoking. Never again.
- 5/5
Air conditioning was great, the beds are awesome if you like a softer bed that you can sink into. The rooms overall are nice. I think it just needed a regular sitting chair. Parking is good, lots of cars due to the popularity of the place. I like this place alot.
- 3/5
Outside surroundings kinds sketchy.
- 5/5
Room should have more than 1 chair.
- 5/5
Texas shaped waffles, gala apples and biscuits and gravy. Property isn’t new, but it was clean, close to the freeway but our room was quiet.
- 4/5
I would recommend this motel and I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Mikes breakfast is outstanding, His food. Manners, professionalism and just down home. Is absolutely fantastic!
- 1/5
Put her around there at the last minute Because the other booking also through Expedia when I got that hotel, they said they didn't have anything except on the third floor. The elevator was broken and I've requested an ADA room so they said I would not be charged so I booked at this hotel and when I got there, I heard people come out saying they were glad they got a room because it was the last one they had and when I went in with my reservation, I was told because they don't have my phone number. They had to cancel my reservation that was paid in Advanced through Expedia. I had to drive around town and just going into hotels until I found one that was way overpriced but at that point I was tired and would've stayed anywhere.
- 1/5
Both tub and sink would not drain. The microwave. Did not have a turning carousel inside front door threshold no screws loose.
- 5/5
Nice place close to freeway except dogs
- 3/5
Recently renovated. Motel style parking. Overall an average place to stay
- 5/5
Friendly staff, excellent room and delicious breakfast
- 5/5
The kitchenette in the room was not made for cooking. It should have been, they had the room. Staff, room, cleanliness, very comfortable bed, wete all awesome, no workout area.
- 4/5
This is a good deal for the money.. good location and the staff was friendly.. it was nice to have a refrigerator in the room and coffee pot.. restaurants were close by and easy access to the highway. Wall AC unit was a bit loud…
- 4/5
Friendly staff, clean, good for the night
- 3/5
They’re renovating the rooms. The one I was in was renovated. It was nice.
- 5/5
This Hotel had the best hot water we have ever had at a Hotel!!! The shower was amazing after a 9 hour drive!! The bed was also very comfortable for us and our two little doggies. There was a very nice area for walking dogs with poop bags provided (nice touch!). The rooms were very quiet - and if you have ever traveled with Yorkies you know what I mean - there was no reactive barking because they heard everything happening outside our room ... there was just two Yorkies sleeping soundly all night!! That meant the two humans also got to sleep soundly. Hooray!!! Comfortable, clean, convenient, and lovely hot water - Win, Win!!
- 4/5
The front desk was quick to get us in the room but didnt provide us with a tv guide or wifi password when checking in. The room was pretty clean other than a dirty rag left behind the bathroom door, but easily could be missed. Other than that the room was extremely comfortable and got good sleep with blackout shade. Property was nice with cameras facing cars , doors, and courtyard. Will stay again
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 1/5
This place is gross. Stayed here on our travels to LA, the lobby makes it seems like you're staying at a cute inn, but they don't care of the rooms. Are bathroom was filthy and dirt was everywhere. Our sheets had stains and there was hair in the bed, a dead bug on the floor. Staff didn't care and was completely unhelpful.
- 4/5
The Inn was well managed, clean and fine for an overnight stay
- 4/5
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Those are the best parts of any hotel stay thank you
- 4/5
We really love staying here with our two chihuahuas, the courtyard is great and lots of room to walk the little dogs. It is so unfortunate that some people do not clean up after their dogs poop! I really love the breakfast waffles shaped like the state of Texas, delicious! I gave the amenities a 2-star rating because the TV had to reset every time we turned it on. I'm not tech savy so couldn't figure out how to fix that andI didn't ask the front desk about it so they could respond. The location was very convenient as well. I am a country girl, so the noise was a bit much, but we always enjoy staying in Amarillo! Everything was very clean.
- 4/5
The rooms, the lobby, and the laundry room were mostly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great and much appreciated. The outside common areas seemed somewhat run down and dirty. Front desk staff was courteous and efficient.
- 3/5
Refreshed property was appealing in terms of booking. Exterior walkways were nasty - staff aren’t policing property for garbage/debris and all walkways need pressure washing desperately.
- 5/5
Traveling through Amarillo and needed a place to land for one night. I was very fortunate to luck up and find the Atrea Inn. Yes, it is an older property, but, it is clean outside and inside My room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, too. Typically, breakfast is some random cereal and so so coffee The Atrea Inn served real breakfast buffet style. This was the most pleasant stay that I never expected. I just came to take a bath and go to sleep. The lady at the checking desk was so nice. Let the inside of the hotel and the people represent the overall stay and it will be satisfactory for almost anyone
- 5/5
Had a great time staying at this property. Room is clean and the breakfast is really good.
- 4/5
Very clean room. The staff and breakfast were very good. The parking lot on the backside had a lot of trash in it.
- 5/5
Great place to stay if you have pets with you. Room was very comfortable and clean but the courtyard made everything convenient for my stay with my dog. Also had a nice breakfast spread.
- 5/5
Breakfast is OK, didn't find parking unsafe.
- 5/5
Clean room, very cute lobby, smelled wonderful, quiet. No issues here!
- 5/5
Wonderful experience. Was able to park just 3 feet outside my door. Made it very convenient. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable. Staff was all very nice and helpful. I didn’t make it to breakfast, so I can’t review that.
- 3/5
Its on a busy street ,some noise
- 5/5
Always a good place to stay
- 5/5
Breakfast was good. Need to invest in a proper blow dryer that reaches to the mirror so you can view what your doing. Otherwise it was nice, its obviou they have done alot of upgrades to an old building, but they did a good job. Tv Amazon fire was not acceptable though.
- 4/5
Washer and dryer were nice to have
- 1/5
When I got there, I was greeted nicely, but when we went to our room, it was a mess. Stains on the walls, hair and corners dirty. I went to the desk to ask for a room change. Went to the second room and it was just as bad. Had to go to the desk for a third time and ask for a refund.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Amazing staff. Great experience.
- 5/5
They are in the process of upgrading and they are doing a great job. Room was clean, nice breakfast area, staff very very friendly, and everything has been replaced! Nice tables and lamps with plugs for your chargers! Nice commons area with chairs and tables, corn hole, grill, and pet area. Pull down blinds which are great for keeping out the light. Parking lot was in the process of being recoded and they have covered parking for motorcycles!! Will definitely stay there again when needing a room in Amarillo.
- 5/5
We were in town for business and pleasure stay. This property is so charming and the location is excellent. The room was really nice, clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Good breakfast. Good stay. Dog $25 a decent price.
- 3/5
Cute renovated hotel in Amarillo. Very affordable. My only complaint was that there was little sound barrier between rooms in this older hotel structure and someone was playing music until 11 pm and you could hear people on the walkway until after midnight.
- 5/5
Nice Stay, Close to Highway!
- 1/5
Room was dirty sheets where dirty and the bathroom had dirt on the floor it was like they came in a just made the beds up and left
- 5/5
The room was clean and spacious. Staff were friendly. Biscuits and gravy at breakfast were delicious.
- 5/5
Shower didn’t had no hot water
- 5/5
Too busy
- 3/5
Neighborhood was so noisy.
- 1/5
Pictures make the property look awesome. Old, worn, dirty, crappy breakfast, .......
- 4/5
Shops were pretty close staff was excellent didn't need the air conditioner
- 5/5
We were just looking for a place to stay for a last minute trip to Palo Duro Canyon, and found this gem! We could not have been happier with our stay. The place is super cute (not fancy), clean and very close to everywhere we wanted to go..plus, you cannot beat the price point. We would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Ckean room, friendly staff, good breakfast. Close to freeway
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
I almost missed check out because I did not want to leave that bed
- 5/5
clean room and staff was great
- 5/5
For the price, this place was great. Nice, clean rooms and welcoming to my dogs. Super friendly staff.
- 3/5
If you are traveling with dogs and/or are a smoker (outside), this is your place. We are neither. Enough said.
- 5/5
Room was clean and bed is very comfortable
- 5/5
Nice, cute hotel. Reasonable prices and breakfast waffles and cereals , yogurt and pastries
- 5/5
Parking was very easy and convenient. Friendly staff and clean lobby.
- 5/5
Good quality at an affordable rate
- 4/5
Full size fridge. Cute place
- 3/5
Room was clean and place was quiet and felt safe. This isn't anything special, but a good value for the price and the staff were very competent.
- 5/5
Room was clean,Staff excellent, breakfast was good and parking was easy
- 5/5
The parking and common area was well-lighted and nice. Check-in and check-out were super easy and friendly front desk. The room was mostly clean - a little dust around but it's the panhandle. One light was out by the bed, but overall clean and a nice overnight stay for the price!
- 3/5
If you are looking for a no frills older hotel this is it. Room was clean but needed some updates. Breakfast didn't start until 7 so we ate at Burger King down the road after being woke up at 5 by a loud car outside our room. All rooms are entered from outside.
- 4/5
Price is good for the stay. Bed is comfortable. Room is clean. There is a regular size refrigerator. Lightings are adequate. Breakfast serves scramble eggs, Walmart type sausage patties, Texas sized self make waffles, with others like bagels, toast, muffins. Plenty of packing spaces. Hotel is located a block away from I 40, very convenient.
- 4/5
Overall it was nice. We got in pretty late and the girl at the counter was pleasant for it being 2am in the morning. The only thing I can complain about is our shower was clogged and it took forever to drain. The beds were comfortable and it seemed like the place had a nice remodel. We were traveling with my dog and there wasn’t any grassy areas around so that was a bummer but overall our stay was okay for one night.
- 3/5
Ok for the night
- 5/5
Good place
- 5/5
Green space for the dogs outside. Lots of poop bags, but yet guests choose not to use them with poop in some places. Clean rooms. Great reception/breakfast area. Unique beach/resort vibe at the front of the hotel. Unique way of putting the room numbers on each door. Breakfast was good with a lot of choices. It is too bad there were so many cigarette butts all over when there were so many receptacles for them all over. It made the property look sloppy. As well stairs were dirty. The concrete walkways were also dirty.
- 4/5
Easy parking, nice staff.
- 1/5
I got this Hotel because of the pictures and description online. When we arrived the hotel was outdated, dirty, and the room smelled. The next morning we went to the breakfast area and not very much selection and was out of most of the stuff. The breakfast staff was not around and when they did arrive they were slow to restock.
- 4/5
Clean comfortable room.
- 4/5
Well lit parking with many cameras on property, acceptable breakfast, easy short stay
- 1/5
I could not sleep due to the noise that comes from AC.
- 5/5
Very welcoming to pets
- 3/5
Various things broken or poor repair. Poor cleanliness.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and had a nice feel to it. The bathroom was huge and the staff was very helpful. The Atrea Inn is different than most Hotels/Motels I have stayed in due to its look and feel, it gives you a sense of calmness and a peaceful energy. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the environment that made it easy to complete some schoolwork in their office area. The best part of the stay was the treatment from the staff which went above and beyond for us. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is, the noise from outside at times was loud not so much though that it made it annoying but mainly when the upstairs guest came down the steps that were directly across from our room. I would definitely recommend and visit again :)
- 5/5
This is my go to hotel in Amarillo now when I am traveling through the area. Rooms are clean, quiet, and spacious.
- 5/5
Clean room quiet and everything worked as it should
- 5/5
In a decent location, close to food and shopping. Absolutely loved my stay, and will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.
- 4/5
Disappointed with the free breakfast. No eggs or bacon or sausage.
- 4/5
Clean room with all amenities you may need. Breakfast was a lot better than we expected. Waffle and biscuit gravy was a top notch. Neighboring asian restaurant is also pretty good.
- 3/5
Reasonably clean, but generally low quality. Stale aroma around the whole place.
- 5/5
Staff really friendly and helpful. Comfortable bedroom and peaceful. Clean room.
- 4/5
Business-friendly

At check-in i told the clerk i was traveling with my 98 year old father so she put us in a handicap room with parking right in front of the room. We are traveling from Arkansas to Nevada so staying in a motel that is clean and quiet helps to get a good night sleep.

The staff was unfriendly, aloof and bordering on rude. The room was ok but there was trash all over the outside of the building and on stairways and walkways. The unhoused locals appear to use the stairwells for shelter and as their bathroom at night. They hang around the edges of the property in the daytime. I won’t stay here again.

It was a good enough room. The bed was a little softer than I like. The breakfast bar was a little disappointing as all that was offered was cereal, waffles , biscuits and gravy. I was told that the eggs and meat items are saved for the weekends.

Surprisingly Very clean and beautiful. But abit noisy since it's on the road but I don't think they can control that. So get some ear plugs for sleep.

We really liked the feel and look of the property as we drove up. Check in was easy. Room was clean and smelled fresh. Lobby area, which included the Breakfast service and seating area, was a well designed open area Breakfast options included make your own waffles, yogurt, biscuits and gravy (all three delish!) and more! Staff was very friendly. We will stay here again!

Best hotel and a decent price
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable.
- 2/5
It's a cute place but it needs improvement on maintenance and cleanliness, the sheets and towels were all stained, the toilet seat was broken and was coming off when you sit.
- 3/5
While the room was clean and the outside area was nice, our door did not lock properly and our keys stopped working after the first night
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly . The room is very basic but it was clean and perfect for a one night stop.
- 4/5
Don’t let the surroundings intimidate you! This hotel is a diamond in the rough. Very clean with big soakable bathtub and lots of hot water. Basic cereal & toast breakfast although plentiful in a very nice & clean area. Ok so the paint color decor is funky! For the price and cleanliness it is a gem!!
- 5/5
Great all is good
- 5/5
The room was spotless
- 4/5
Room was not clean, there was trash in the trash cans, the floor needed to be swept, and when I pulled back the covers, it appeared the sheets had not been changed. The neighbor’s dog(s) started barking around 1am and continued for 10-15 minutes.
- 4/5
Everything was as expected and just like the pictures
- 2/5
I didn’t eat breakfast
- 4/5
Staff is always wonderful
- 5/5
It was great! Lovely staff and felt clean and comfy!
- 1/5
The room was disgusting. It felt like it hadnt been cleaned in weeks and there were holes in the blankets. The fridge was covered in dirt and dust and there was a chair in the room that appeared to be possibly covered in bodily fluids.
- 2/5
Was clean room but bed way to soft.
- 4/5
Friendly guest clerk. Large wet area between bedroom and bathroom directly in line with toilet. Called office let them know, maintenance person never came by. I was afraid to use shower. Great biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Haven't had this so good in decades.
- 1/5
It was not what I expected and the room and the lobby had a very heavy chemical smell. This did prevent me from going to enjoy the FREE breakfast. Very dissatisfied. You should think about doing something with the smell as many of us are allergic to those odors.
- 5/5
Place was clean, people were nice, parking is plentiful. Food options around. Safe area to walk your dog while traveling across the country.
- 5/5
Great option! Very friendly
- 5/5
Room was clean, breakfast was great, staff was friendly. 😎
- 3/5
The staff were friendly. The room lacked proper cleaning.
- 3/5
Mostly clean but it looked like one of the walls had dried snot on it. Also very noisy.
- 3/5
Very convenient and most of all pet friendly.
- 4/5
Super cute hotel with friendly staff. Not clean at all unfortunately
- 4/5
Their check-in policy is gracious. The breakfast was good in the spring, but when we came back in the fall there were no choices of protein mostly starches Waffles, biscuits & gravy etc. The few times we've stayed here the TV remote always double presses buttons so it skips over certain channels and volumes. Our most recent visit the TV wasn't programmed so we had to call the front desk to get it to work, but it was a really easy procedure. Overall we will probably stay here whenever we have the opportunity.
- 4/5
Staff very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
The mattress was amazing! One of the best sleeping experiences! Only disappointment was zero protein or fruit in the breakfast. Just starches and carbs. We had to stop somewhere else to get eggs.
- 4/5
WARNING: There's a $25 per night pet fee that I was surprised with at check in.
- 4/5
Room was clean and newly renovated. Great for animals.

Breakfast was very disappointing due to the extremely limited options. There were no eggs, bacon, French toast, or any other hot breakfast items commonly offered at hotels with free breakfast. There was also no fresh fruit available. The only items provided were cereal, bagels, and biscuits with gravy, which offered very little variety. Compared to other hotels that include breakfast, this fell well below expectations. Expanding the breakfast selection would significantly improve the overall guest experience.
- 3/5
Room was clean and had a good area for the dogs. However, my husband was missing a night stand on his side of the bed and a wire was exposed on his side of bed as well.
- 5/5
Clean room and nice property! Right by a fire department so occasionally hearing sirens.
- 5/5
Nice room and the staff was great!
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic
- 4/5
This is a good place to stay if your looking for a place to stay for a night. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Stuff is nice. Worth for the price.
- 5/5
Logan who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean.
- 5/5
Nice clean inexpensive Motel.
- 2/5
Housekeeping didn’t do so great. I also had some very loud drunken neighbors come bursting in their room at 2:30 am and they never stopped yelling and banging around. I called the office twice, and the second time he just told me, “they said it wasn’t them.” Not great, and also potentially dangerous getting less than 4 hours of sleep after driving 11 hours and needing to drive another 10 more the next day.
- 4/5
- 5/5
Front desk was great, room is clean and nice
- 4/5
The room was clean and the bed comfortable night clerk who checked us in was the same lady I returned my key to in the morning, Be prepared to bring some white noise to drown out I-40 noises; they're right on top of you. The wall unit kept the room pleasantly warm. Breakfast was biscuits & sausage gravy, breads, juices. Just normal for a hotel breakfast.
- 4/5
Room was clean and updated. Nice courtyard and breakfast was good
- 5/5
- 4/5
Staff was fine, room was fine, breakfast was good. Exterior area was dirty with trash everywhere.
- 1/5
Loud and felt unsafe for woman traveling alone
- 3/5
Staff was great , the room was clean and cozy , the breakfast was yummy . Room for improvement is the pillows quality and there was dog feces on the second floor walkways and stairwells
- 3/5
Basic stay.
- 5/5
One of the best places ive stayed at for an amazing price. Very clean, quiet. Friendly staff. Awesome breakfast and they also had an area for dogs. Even though people dont clean up after their dogs even with bags and a garbage bag right there. Overall this place will be saved under my favorites and i hope to stay again.
- 4/5
Convenient, clean and quiet, far enough away from the freeway so you don’t have that constant sound. Pet friendly which is nice also..
- 3/5
The floors were covered with grime and needed to be scrubbed. The heat worked fine.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, nice stay for the night.
- 4/5
and I would stay here again .
- 1/5
A lot of noisy,room 111
- 3/5
The reception area and room were in good condition, except for a faulty room door lock. I appreciated the full size refrigerator and all appliances. Staff were courteous and helpful. The exterior leading to the rooms was not great, but that didn't really make a difference to me. The location was conveniently close to my route on the highway which I liked because I didn't want to make a detour to continue my travels. I did notice places to eat nearby.
- 5/5
Everything about this property was fantastic. Easy, convenient, safe and the cleanest hotel ever. Great staff. I wish they were all over the place. Will absolutely stay here when in the area again.
- 5/5
Hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Breakfast is awesome!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
The bedding was clean and the room was comfortable with all of the basics. The area around the hotel was very dirty. The towels in the room were stained. The staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Trash outside the door is off-putting. The clerk was friendly and the lobby clean. Nice, clean room! Quiet place.
- 5/5
Very nice, friendly.
- 4/5
The reception at the hotel was handled efficiently and professionally. There isn't any signs telling dog owners to pick up their dog poo and warning them they could be fined. Dog poo was in places people walk. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast has a poor setup and makes for waiting and confusion. For the price it's worth the stay.
- 4/5
It was all okay, the only thing was our bed sheets were dirty they had actual dirt on them over top in spots. We called and asked for a new cover and they provided a clean one
- 4/5
You can't beat the price and the location off near the freeway with clean sheets and bathrooms.
- 3/5
Area is very noisy and a lot of police activity all night long. Breakfast was good also.
- 2/5
Not clean… stains on the sheets, stains on the towels, splatters on the wall, grime on the shower wall tile, dirty floors, and dirty outside.
- 5/5
Clean room, soft sheets. For just a nights sleep, this was excellent for the price.
- 5/5
Clean, simply and stylishly furnished large room. Modestly priced and a good value.
- 2/5
But I even couldn’t get sleep, there is no soundproof at all! You hear every step outside and the guests from neighbour rooms. Also much loud noise from A/C which is just next to your bed as a cherry on top! Breakfast was generally ok (eggs, sausages, bagels, waffles) in terms of variety but the quality was really cheap and bad.. Today I must manage 9 hrs of driving but I feel really bad, headache and neck ache dues to lack of sleep and bad pillows.. Strongly not recommended!
- 5/5
Clean, convenient, friendly
- 5/5
Older property but clean and they have a great outdoor space with charcoal grills, baronial chairs and string lights. We stayed there on our way out and in the way back
- 5/5
awesome
- 4/5
comfortable Bed.
- 4/5
The room was clean, but the bathtub drain was clogged with hair and the bed was very noisy. Aside from those issues, the overall stay was good.
- 4/5
Hotel was fine. Breakfast so minimal food choice it wasn't worth going.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Would be nice if breakfast was served til 10. We were pulling a trailer and they were accommodating.
- 5/5
5th stay here. Clean room for a great price.
- 5/5
The room is well equipped and clean! The staff is amazing!
- 4/5
Cute place. Loved the decor and slept like a baby.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. A/C good. Bed sheet had ugly spots, not sure if it wasn’t changed or it was stained. Stay was okay. Area is not the greatest, people smoking pot all night. Hotel is budget friendly but next time I’ll penny pinch elsewhere to splurge at a different location.
- 3/5
Good and good
- 5/5
My son stayed there and he liked it
- 4/5
Clean facilities. Easy check-in. Refurbished rooms. This is a motel that is a bargain to stay in.
- 4/5
Thank you for the nice stay
- 5/5
This place is absolutely perfect for a longer stay. Great outdoor space with grills, chairs and lights. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we’re staying there in the way home. Great laundry facility as well! Definitely recommend
- 4/5
As usual the staff there were very very nice. The room was great the only downside is I had reserved and paid for a studio but they had no studios on the first floor on the ground floor they were all on the second floor and at 74 it’s a little difficult for me to take a suitcase etc. up with flight of steps. So the next time I’ll either check and see on Expedia if there’s a way for me to indicate I want to ground floor studio and if that’s not possible, I will call them directly.
- 4/5
Good location right of 40 highway. Room was clean but string smell of cleaning solution. Staff should try and air out rooms after cleaning.
- 4/5
Super location, nice vibe and people. I'll go back
- 4/5
This is my second time staying here. For a place to stay the night in Amarillo or longer it’s a good hotel for the price. I have stayed in so called franchise hotels that were more expensive that were a complete dump. I would here again without a second thought
- 5/5
One thing I really liked about the inn was the decor.
- 3/5
The inside of the hotel room was nice and clean, but the stairs and outdoor “hallways” were not. It’s also not easy/convenient to be upstairs if you have a lot of stuff to bring in & the street noise was extremely loud. If you stay here, please make sure to have ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones.
- 5/5
Super nice staff. Very clean room. Big fridge! Will look to stay here again.
- 4/5
It was good
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable stay.
- 5/5
Conveniently located for our job that we were doing and everything was fine.
- 3/5
During the week it is not a full breakfast like it states on their website. The coffee is watery, but the rooms were clean and comfortable despite its appearance from the outside. Staff were very nice and friendly.
- 5/5
Clean room and environment
- 3/5
The floor was VERY dirty in our room.
- 4/5
Bed and bathroom were clean, comfortable and well maintained. Floor was really dirty. Door security lock was broken. The kitchen area had no utensils at all, not even a plastic spoon, and the coffee maker no basket to make coffee in. It's an efficient, newly remodeled, basic motel, not in the nicest area, but for the price I really have no big complaints. It was quiet at night, mid-week, and I slept well here, which was what I needed.
- 5/5
Heater got warm. Room very clean. Beautiful inn. Bed amazing
- 3/5
Check-in staff was pleasant and friendly. The room was clean, but the floors felt like they needed to be mopped again. They had some sort of coating and you could feel on the bottom of your feet. The heater/air conditioner was really noisy. You could hear people going up and down the metal steps to the top floor during the night. The bed was comfortable. Didnt get much rest.
- 3/5
air condition old and noisy
- 4/5
Parking
- 4/5
Noisy street still at 1:00 am Noisy, hear everything on second floor, we were on first floor
- 5/5
It was warm at first but it did get cool fast. It smell clean and looked good
- 5/5
Right off the free way. Tyler's bbq down the street had really good food. Bed was comfy. The outside hub area was beautiful with lounge chairs and bean bag games. Ample room to walk my dog around. Tv was weird to operate with the remote provided.
- 5/5
Staff not as helpful
- 2/5
It was very noisy, and the walls are thin
- 2/5
The bed linen was stained, the towels were clean but looked very old. Since it was cold outside we turned on the heater (obviously there was no other option) which made a terrible noise and kept us awake all night. It is stated everywhere that smoking is prohibited, but a lot of people smoke right next to the room and the smoke apparently gets into other rooms without any problems. Someone may say: "Well, the price is low, what else do you expect", but I am talking about the minimum needs that should be at a certain level regardless of the price and no less, I am not talking about the appearance of the place, safety (which is also a big question mark), and so on.
- 5/5
This property never disappoints. Clean and convenient. Great breakfast. I just wish they’d provide more soap. One tiny bar is inadequate.
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
We have been staying here for a few years when we pass through Amarillo, this will be the last time. Things have gone very downhill. The room was dirty, everything was rundown.
- 5/5
Very pleasant stay
- 5/5
Very friendly front desk workers
- 4/5
okay parking. Breakfast was food. Surrounding was not great. Nice staff
- 1/5
Lady was ha ing a stroke when I walked in for check in.I decided to cancel and the front desk guy (who had a hole in the butt of his pants) said "someone having a stroke bothers you?". TERRIBLE PLACE
- 5/5
Nice upstairs room with fridge & microwave. Flagstaff is a somewhat pricey town so expect to pay a bit more for usual 2** accommodations. This motel did not offer any breakfast to regular guests, but the bus tour present arranged for their customers, and we were invited. The 8000’ altitude was very challenging to exertion & breathing for me, so the close-by Mexican restaurant was a relief.
- 3/5
Lots of bugs in the rooms we killed 5 flies 2 moths and a giant bug that had the shape of an ant with pincers
- 5/5
Always stay here
- 4/5
The motel itself was fine and a good value. Good breakfast. You can hear I-40 traffic from the front side, and it is a pet-friendly motel, so many people bring their dogs to stay. (We did hear a dog whining from 5:30 am to 7 am the first morning as their owner kept them alone in their room.)
- 3/5
The room was p
- 5/5
Every time I come to Amarillo I stay at Atrea. It has been recently renovated to a more modern look. The staff is always courteous and readily available and the rooms are clean and spacious. This was my first trip on motorcycle and their dedicated covered motorcycle parking was an added treat. Always highly recommended.
- 3/5
Room was clean but had an odd Oder and outside area was dirty, steps and walkways were filthy
- 5/5
Room temp could be well controlled and I felt very safe outside and in my room.

- 2/5
Disappointed in lack of cleaning. Floor was dirty and there was hair on the side of the tub.
- 5/5
Perfect parking for motorcycle 👍
- 2/5
Very unfriendly welcome, could not muster a smile. So not comfortable letting them know no tv remote in the room. Basic standard overnight stay so no big deal.
- 5/5
My spot I’ll be back
- 5/5
👍
- 2/5
Our room looked nothing like the photos. We walked in and the trash can was full and floor was disgusting. It was very loud and hard to sleep. Don't recommend if you are looking for a clean, good night's sleep. We couldn't wait to get out of there.
- 5/5
Good hotel for a quick one night pass through. I travel with my dog and they are very dog friendly and don’t charge a ridiculous amount of $ for the dog.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Staff and room were nice. If I come back, I have my hotel already.
- 5/5
Really cute hotel. Very friendly staff. No issues. Area looks kind of iffy. People speeding thru the parking lot. Very noisy at back of hotel.
- 5/5
Liked everything
- 1/5
We were driving from flagstaff, AZ to Alabama and needed a place to stay to rest for a bit. Found this place and the pictures online look nice and the reviews were 4.2 stars….. but our room was FAR from that…… dirty rugs, smoke smell, towels dirty, flies on the wall.. I have my 5 year old with me and it was not clean at all! It was so frustrating, lessons learned tho…..
- 5/5
Very reasonable price. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the facilities were better than anything I had seen in the area
- 3/5
The lobby was implacable. But the room had a weird smell.
- 4/5
AC very cold.
- 3/5
It’s also very noisy and you can hear every other room around you.
- 5/5
Super clean and staff is really helpful.
- 5/5
Everything was above expectations
- 5/5
Wifi was very good and reliable. Staff was very knowledgeable and courteous
- 4/5
Clean rooms cute nice set up outside
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Well updated and clean. Cockroach in room and very loud highway can be hear while sleeping.
- 3/5
Needs lots of updating. Other family members that had booked rooms were not happy with the condition, cleanliness and smell of their rooms and opted to go stay at a different hotel.
- 3/5
Bathroom not completely clean (corners.
- 3/5
The room was okay, dirty bedding on the beds. Additionally, it is in a not so good area of the town and as a single woman traveling I did not feel comfortable in this hotel. No elevator, all stairs outdoor doors. Breakfast was the same everyday, and it was not very good. Stale. Overall for the price it was not worth it.
- 5/5
Very clean room .. good service
- 5/5
Clean
- 4/5
The only thing I didn't like the bath shower area not good.
- 4/5
The room was great and looked recently renovated. The area surrounding the motel was sketchy and run down. Not sure I'd recommend it for single women or families with small children.
- 5/5
The whole setup...very appealing and comfortable..great veiw
- 5/5
Clean place. Made for a great economical stop for our rad trip to CO.
- 5/5
Sweet budget hotel that was easily accessible driving as an overnight stop through. Road noise was a bit loud, but I would say as expected for an off highway motel. The space was definitely created with intention, and I appreciate the care given for comfortable and budget accommodations.
- 4/5
Big clean room.
- 1/5
Nothing
- 1/5
Neighbors were doing drugs all night. I called the front desk but nothing was done about it. Don’t stay here unless you want to be surrounded by drug addicts that stay up all night
- 3/5
You get what you pay for I guess. The room didn't feel super clean and the towels looked like they've been through a lot. Room had a chemical smell.
- 4/5
Fairly nice place for the price
- 3/5
Property was overall decent, Quality definitely goes with the price... Room should have been cleaner a few things, towels and bedding had pieces of hair and fuzzys and there was hair in the shower. Mirrors didn’t look like they were cleaned correctly either. Breakfast closed earlier then we were told and weren’t even allowed a cup of coffee…
- 3/5
The room was nice clean quiet and bed was comfy during my 2 night stay. Breakfast options were very lacking no eggs, meat options or waffles. Staff was friendly.
- 4/5
The only reason why I didn’t give all 5 stars was because when booking the room, I asked for a ground level room because I have moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis and my husband has joint pain issues as well, when I checked in I asked if the room was on the second floor and the lady said “yeah, buts it’s only one flight of stairs” we stayed two nights and had a bunch of plans in town, so we came and left many times and each time up or down he stairs was very painful. But other then that it was a nice, clean hotel in an area I didn’t feel unsafe at all. I would recommend staying there but if you have issues going up and down stairs I would call the hotel prior to staying just to be sure there’s no confusion in your requirements.
- 5/5
I loved
- 5/5
Great location and clean room! Cute courtyard and Amarillo artwork!
- 5/5
Clean rooms, pet-friendly, helpful staff, affordable... We love this place!
- 5/5
Pet friendly, people friendly no signs of eco friendly - not even recycling
- 4/5
Great value for the cost. My go to stop going from Denver to Dallas in Amarillo. Rooms are adequate and the property is dog friendly.
- 4/5
Very nice place to stay, felt safe, even though it was only a one night as we were passing through. Good place for a roadtrip. Lots of parking and breakfast.
- 4/5
I had to do a trip for work and the reviews for Atrea Inn were good and the price was right. I haven't been to Amarillo since I was a child, so I wasn't too sure about the area when I got there around 10pm. I was a little apprehensive because I had a brand new 2025 van full of expensive artwork but everything was fine. It seems like there were a lot of other people traveling for work. The room was clean but I did see some reviews about dirty floors - I think this is because the floors are laminate and cleaning those is a bit weird because you're not supposed to use water on them (if I have to clean those types of floors, I have a mop bucket with hot water and wring it out as much as possible so it is just damp, then use a little of the spray cleaner). In any case, I always travel with slides to wear in the hotel so this wasn't really a concern for me. The person at reception was super cheerful and welcoming. My only complaint was wedging the large Ram van into a parking space on the back side of the building (there was only one space open but it was close to my room) but I probably could've asked for a different room if it was that much of a problem.
- 4/5
This is an aging but attractive and creative hotel a bit off the beaten path. The room was clean and neat and typical of less costly hotels in that it lacked a few amenities one usually expects. It's not hard to get around Amarillo, so being a bit out of the way was fine. We enjoyed the Asian restaurant next door and were glad not to have to drive to find a place to eat.
- 1/5
Checked into room 151 after a long drive in the middle of the night. The room was disgusting. Had a cute "non smoking" sign on the door but the smell of new and old cigarettes had sealed itself in every ounce of the room. Room was infested with house flies. On check in, I was told it was their last room so I didn't bother going back to the counter and spent the night sleeping in my car. Do not risk it, pick another hotel/motel.
- 5/5
Not bad not great
- 5/5
Super clean & modern rooms. My family emo
- 4/5
The parking is a little inconvenient, but the big outdoor sitting area was a nice trade-off.
- 3/5
Not in the nicest or average part of town.
- 3/5
Property photographs very well until you see in person. One of the rooms I stayed in shows signs of a rush job on the renovations. Bathtub refinishing was poorly done and even baseboards were peeling off. More than likely will not stay there again.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet motel. The beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay!
- 3/5
Towels look not clean to use.
- 3/5
Computers were down, tools almost an hour and half to get our reserved room.
- 5/5
They were real nice and they were good people
- 5/5
They let me check in late and they had a friendly staff
- 4/5
Clean rooms with a comfortable bed, but slightly meager breakfast.
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
Safe, clean, quiet and comfortable. Checks all the right boxes
- 5/5
Love the service
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
I was very impressed. Great hotel with brilliant staff.
- 4/5
It was good for the price
- 4/5
The surrounding neighborhood was slightly run down (a couple of closed businesses were nearby); no green spaces nearby
- 5/5
Cool out door area. Neat artwork. Very close to Cadillac Ranch.
- 5/5
Awesome in all ways
- 5/5
Third time I have stayed at this hotel in Amarillo. Used to stay at Hilton Tru in Amarillo but they got so expensive that I tried this place out. Its like a Hilton Tru hotel but at half to a third of the cost.
- 1/5
I noticed the room was unclean, there was an unpleasant odor coming from the carpet, stained bedding/towels, found an infant sock under the bed, trash, and a clogged bathtub. The towels were dingy and old. These conditions were unacceptable and made it very difficult to feel comfortable or safe in the room.
- 5/5
Great for the price. European feel with newly decorated room. Could use a cleaning outside the rooms
- 1/5
Our room was the dirtiest I've ever stayed in. The carpet was black and nothing in the room worked including the tv and refrigerator. The only positive was the friendliness of the lady at the check in counter. Don't stay here!
- 5/5
slept great
- 4/5
for the cost it was very nice place it was clean andcomfrtable
- 4/5
Good place overall for short stay.
- 5/5
It was great!
- 5/5
The tv was not working
- 4/5
This motel is a great value. It's clean and affordable. They could use more tables and chairs for the breakfast time frame. The breakfast buffet is just average.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean room, good location. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Just needed a place to crash for the nite . Was a nice clean room.
- 4/5
Enjoyed our stay. Super easy check in. Friendly staff
- 3/5
TV not working. smokers on stairs (so smoke drifts into A/C). bathtub drained very slowly. and trash everywhere.
- 5/5
Bed comfort was great. The air conditioner was a bit loud. Overall great option to spend the night. Will be staying here on my next trip!
- 3/5
Was ok for stay. It was a bit noisy with mainly traffic noise
- 5/5
Bed was very comfortable
- 3/5
The room was clean and the area quiet. Our tv did not work, but we didn’t notify management because it was low priority for us. Breakfast was not great - bagels stale, other choices minimal but coffee was good. We will use it again, mainly because it was clean and convenient for us.
- 4/5
Very good experience. We had forgotten to ask for a double bed room, but the man at the desk was very flexible and helped us out quickly. The air conditioning was very good and let us bundle up.
- 2/5
Room was nasty carpet filthy and sticky
- 4/5
It's just great
- 4/5
Breakfast is cramped.
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean. Parking was convenient. Nice outside recreational/lounging area. Breakfast included in the lobby. Overall great value for the money.
- 4/5
It was easy to access great local restaurants
- 5/5
Such a gem! We thoroughly enjoyed the courtyard. And the mattress and pillows were so awesome, it’s the best motel sleep I’ve ever had!
- 4/5
For the price, it’s a winner. The room itself was nice, but the bathroom could use some work. The tub was either stained or dirty and the caulking around the base of the tub was mildewed and cracked. Bed was pretty good, but I awoke with a sore back (however, I have a very sensitive back). Breakfast was all carbs, so we didn’t try it. The area of town it’s in is a bit run down and not close to a lot, but it’s only about a 10-15 min drive to more things. Overall, pleased and would stay again given the cost and being a one night stay while traveling.
- 5/5
room was very clean, and enjoyed the breakfast bar in the lobby!
- 1/5
The bed was hard and worn out. Shower curtain yellow brown and smelled like mildew. Rugs must’ve been ancient because they were dirty, smelly and worn out. AC made a racket. Hot rods in and out of the parking lot all night long. We could hear every word of people next door. We couldn’t wait to get out of there. Was issued $25. Voucher for next reservation but I don’t plan on another trip any time soon. I’d rather have money back. We checked out early and expect a refund for the second night anyway. My receipt shows $70.31 and was supposed to be $65 a night!
