It was ok for an overnight. Very plain and dated. Don’t include shampoo or hair dryer. Wouldn’t stay at this hotel for more than one night. Not enough amenities for the room.

The location. It's close to downtown and other things. Price for room is not worth it based on the quality. All the doors of the rooms are terrible and get stuck. The snack machines are in the laundry room which the door gets stuck and doesn't want to work. Have to use key cards 5-7 times to get into your room or the laundry room to get snacks. Snack machine wasn't good. Said it was sold out on things that were available.

The grab and go breakfast had almost nothing to eat at it anf only coffee or tea. Would have liked a juice.

I wish to specifically recognize the night manager the nights I was there 5/19 and 5/20 who got me hangers which were missing from my closet, and ice for an injury I sustained during my trip. The freezer in my room came with ice trays so that helped the next day. I also wish to recognize Ms. Hodan Warsame the General Manager who helped me solve a significant inconvenience. Her attention to customer service really helped me, and she was attentive and friendly in other interactions we had. There was no hairdryer in the room, which I found out quite by surprise and that did not meet my expectations. I recommend verifying this detail if you are considering a stay at ESAs in the future. This was a recent change for this property. The grab and go breakfast consisted of packaged muffins, granola bars and envelopes of instant oatmeal, and coffee/tea, I was hoping for a piece of fruit or something a little more substantial.

Very had experience. Unfriendly staff, many problems with the room, many elements didn't work due to lack of maintenance. And breakfast is just coffee and a muffin. Not recommended at all

The hotel felt a little sketchy, door keys and doors did not always work, room was worn down, the microwave in our room was broken, water tasted bad, very limited breakfast options. Would not choose to stay here again.

I liked the price. For a disabled room near Alexandria, the price seemed great. My hotel room has a "trick" to open the door. The front desk showed me after I couldn't get in. Which is problematic for a disabled room. Outdated room, unclean bathroom and microwave and very smelly hallway. But my main problem. This is a hotel with a lot of guests who smoke. They are not allowed to, I ordered a non smoking room, the hotel has many non smoking signs, and even a piece of paper to sign at check in that you will be charged $250 if you are caught. Didn't stop my neighbor from lighting up so bad I couldn't use my bathroom which turned into a hot box of smoke. My room smelled horrible. I tried to call and complain. No one at the desk all night (midnight until 3am) which didn't make me feel safe as a single person in the room. Worst room for a person with a sensitive nose. And just a simple "I'm sorry, nothing we can do" when I checked out. There may be better rooms, but this experience was terrible. Buyer beware.

The staff is Amazing such a phenomenal team there.. The room was great along with a very comfy king size bed. I slept great after working long hours on travel. I Love the area it’s convenient to shopping & grocery. This place is always an excellent choice for me. Thanks so much for going above and beyond for my stay.

We stayed this location for many times. Everything was excellent. We never have any issues. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. AGM Nyo is very helpful

Our bathroom was not clean. Amenities that were listed were not in the room, but claimed they could be requested and picked up from the front desk. The room was for 4 people but didn't have supplies for 4 people. Entire hotel was outdated and rundown. Our bathroom door was damaged and very difficult to fully close or open. Felt very misled by the offer of "breakfast", which was actually coffee flavored water, a couple of muffins, 2 granola bars, and oatmeal packets without bowls. When the "breakfast" area was almost completely empty, it wasn't refilled. I don't feel it was worth the over $150/night.

Unfortunately there were hairs from another guest in my bathroom and shower. Staff are wonderful - the property needs better maintenance and cleanliness. The grab and go breakfast was so-so. Will be back for location convenience and a phenomenal staff.

The price and location were fine. The room was dirty under the bed, couch, etc. Open areas were clean. The grab -n-go breakfast was really just oatmeal pouches. Two of the mornings they ran out of coffee. The keys did not work periodically. Towels were cheap. Bathroom was tired although other furnishings were new but low end.

Trash in the hallways and stairwells - not tons, but clearly not being regularly picked up. Checkin was laborious - had to wait about 15 mins while the sole clerk (slowly) gathered kitchen supplies for a couple, then the checkin process itself took way too long; the clerk grunted more than spoke. Bare minimum decor giving the whole place a lower-class feeling. Room was clean but while working on my laptop kept hearing a crinkling/popping sound, looked under the table and the outlet where the TV plugged in was sparking and beginning to flame - pulled out the plugs and it stopped. Tried to tell the clerk when I was checking out but they were nowhere to be found; found a maintenance man and told him about the outlet problem, not sure the message got through (hope so...). Will not stay at another America Suites Extended Stay.

Clean, safe facility. Basic but more than sufficient for my very short overnight stay. No easy access to Metro which meant I had to use uber or taxi to reach the hotel since I didn’t have a car. Also, nothing like a convenience store, grocery store or eating place within easy walking distance. So if you are reliant on public transit, it takes more time & planning than other places I’ve stayed in DC.

The location was well within the area that I was visiting. I had an appointment .6 miles away on the same street. I would use it again when the occasion arises. There were no appliances or dishes in the room. Would have to inconvenience others to get what I may have needed.

The door to room was wonky and difficult to open. (Room 202) the door to the bathroom was falling off. Debris on the floor. The laminate on the front of the counter was falling off. Bathroom door was dirty. We presumed breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast but it was only coffee and a packet of oatmeal. The feont desk saw us go out to the car and told the housekeeper we checked out. Thw housekeeper entered as I was about to shower and the bathroom door was falling off. Housekeeper was so nice and apologized. The lights we flickering.

Upon check in was immediately told they were oversold and received a lesser room with smaller beds. Every single light bulb in the room flickered and bounced, terrible dangerous wiring. The shower is completely flat flush to the ground and floods the bathroom when you shower. Sink had paint chips everywhere, very outdated.

Would not recommend staying there. Front desk people not pleasant except for the lady. The rest very un helpful. . Room condition bad. Sprinkler leaked on bed. Had to sleep with towels covering wet mattress area. Breakfast unsatisfactory. Surprised at the conditions. Have traveled all over- this was worst experience.

Very 1980s. Our room has not been updated since that decade. Thank goodness I knew in advance that the kitchen came with nothing. You can request dishes, pots and pans, and other items. We brought our own. The place served our purposes for one night, but I can't imagine wanting to stay longer. The beds were reasonably comfortable but man, oh, man the place needs updating and renovation. Very worn and banged up.

We ran into multiple technical issues; no hot water x 2 days; then a TV with sound that wouldn’t adjust on the last night; hotel staff on moved us 3 times in 3 days, trying to fix the issues;when TV didnt work,said we should have reported it earlier-

I was not able to stay the night for the advertised price on your website. I am very disappointed and disatisfied. I was not permitted to pay upon arrival at 2 am. When I arrived, I learned my reservation had been cancelled. I feel ripped off and looking ed to. I called the manager and they did not answer.

If you are looking to stay in the area on a budget this is your place. If you have kids dont. Hallways have a must smell. The gym is 2 pieces of equipment. You have to ask for kitchen utensils even though its a extended stay. The staff is kinda friendly but don't expect them to move fast to get things done.

The room was old. There was a kitchen area with a stove, but pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, or plates, o it was just wasted space. There was a refrigerator, but a very noisy one that I had to turn off to sleep.

Between the metro train going by every 15 minutes or the freight trains that went by three times during the night, there was very little chance to sleep. On top of that there was a party going on in the back parking lot out of a camper van that was playing vulgar music at a high decibel level. Ironically, it did not drown out the person in the hallway, talking on the phone until 2 o’clock in the morning given these things that occurred, and management, inability, or lack of drive to correct these things I would not recommend ever staying at this place. The management and operations of this establishment should make you question everything about this place. They don’t know how to control their guests, their property, or even the check-in process, which was interrupted by several other people trying to get rooms that did not exist. I stayed here because it was convenient for me to sleep that night during a bicycling event, and I did not want to spend a lot of money during the Marine Corps marathon weekend. I now regret that decision not to spend a little bit more money, and I will never do that kind of decision again based upon this horrible experience of a subpar hotel, and impotent staff, and a terrible location for someone who is looking for a good nights sleep. Your site should wipe this hotel office list and not recommended to your customers.

Safety was lax, the back entrance doors did not fully close let alone lock. The entrance was not attended the three times we went into or exited the building. All in all it was an inexpensive hotel much needed at the last minute, but I doubt I’d stay again.

The staff is very nice, but the property has declined with its upkeep of the property. Each time that I stay there I have to do a deep cleaning. My most recent stay I found dirty towels left underneath the cabinet in the bathroom, the tubs are dirty and they really need new bed linen.

This property was comfortable and beds were comfortable. However things are breaking and falling apart and it needs a renovation. In our room alone the lights would flicker regularly, our door was broken, and the AC was very loud. The location is good and I am not saying I would not stay here again because I would but some things need to fixed and it needs an update

I killed a spider in the tub as soon as i got there. And I understand that happens. Countertops were stinky. No ammenties in room, coffee, maker, or cups, ice, bowls...etc. Breakfast wasnt breakfast. This facility has been a very bad experience. Poor communication from staff and lack of cleaning. Guest wonders all day and night in and out of the facility that makes you feel very uncomfortable. I have stayed in another hotel with this company before and it was nothing like this one. I will not be staying there again unless there are some changes.

From the moment I went to check in I had to wait 30 mins for someone to come to front counter. The smell on the floor was horrible.

Had to go through multiple rooms, first room the plumbing didn’t work, second room there was no ac, the third was ok but there was no utensils or remote. Halfway through the night the fire alarm went off. Dont think I’ll stay again

I love a lot about my stay here at Eisenhower ESA. Great friendly staff and management, convenient location, comfortable room, beds nice size TV (55”), close to shopping and metro and even the MVA.

While, the staff does a great job and tries, sometimes they come off a little cold. Overall, it wasn’t the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but it definitely was not the best place I have stayed it does the job if you need a place to lay your head at night and take a shower in the morning but that’s really about it, the breakfast is not even a breakfast, Muffins and hot water for tea and oatmeal pouches kind of old school compared to some of the other, even worse places that I’ve stayed.

We were promised a non smoking room and was placed in a room that reeked of smoke. We asked to change rooms and they attempted to but gave us a key that was occupied where a big dog chased us. We were told that there would be no charge to the room and to check the next day because they were full to capacity. The next day there was no change and it was reiterated that there would be no charge to the room. At checkout no one was aware and asked that I follow up with the manager the next day whose only solution was that I would not be charged the smoking fee after having to tolerate a smoking room for 4 days. When asked for some type of compensation for having to tolerate 4 days of smoking h added that I could’ve left the property at anytime.

I’ve stayed in plenty of extended stays and they had an actual breakfast provided (I.e. eggs, bacon, sausages, waffles etc.) not just the continental breakfast. These places are to be as if we are at a bed and breakfast like a home away from home. Yes, there is a fridge and kitchenette but, there weren’t any utensils already provided. The basics should already be in the room such as pots and pans and forks, spoons, and knife set. The staff was short staffed so calling for help was not an available to get help with just about anything. This was a waste of money and should have been better given this is close to DC and people may be departing for a flight at any point in time.

The door to the room stuck to the frame and barely opened. Soon realized all doors made an awful sound and were very difficult to open and close. Could hear people struggling with them at all times of the day or night. The tub and shower walls were spray painted so to say the rooms were renovated is not true. Heating/cooling unit extremely loud. Breakfast was minimal and not worth the space. Had to ask if they could resupply it. He brought out 3 mini muffins. If you need anything in your kitchen be sure to let them know what you will need. It will be completely empty otherwise.

Don’t forget to request kitchen utensils, plates and cups as they are not in the room.

One I’ve been staying here through multiple years. The staff is lovely the manager and the assistant manager always takes great care of me very attentive and they know me by my first name basis, the staff is great anytime that I need something or if I’m missing something they come to my aid and they help me with whatever I need.

Came later than earliest checkout time and our room still wasn’t ready, we were put in a room not fully cleaned and it took nearly an hour to get a different room.

Management and staff are very helpful

I had to change rooms twice the first time the room key did not work. The second time the television did not work and was reported to the receptionist.

The grab and go breakfast was slim. Maybe call it coffee and muffin service. It’s not breakfast.

I had an Amazing stay. The staff was super professional. They went about and beyond to make sure I had what I needed in my room. I really appreciated that. Thanks a lot.

The facility seemed like a fairly average hotel, though the 3rd floor smelled odd.

It was such a nice neighborhood . Felt super safe . Room was great and clean . Customer service was amazing as well .

The door was difficult to unlock with the key card, causing further frustration. Overall, the experience was far from ideal, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless significant improvements are made.

THEY HAVE ANTS! Everywhere! In the rooms, on the floors, beds, ceiling, by the elevators.. on floors higher than the first! I tried to wipe away some of the mess before taking a picture, but there were ants everywhere. There is no one that stays at the front desk to talk to about, nor do they pick up the phone. There was a hole in shower, which creepily felt like a peephole, things hanging out in the drain, ants everywhere, very sticky and very dirty floors…. Do not stay here.

There was a used towel left in the bathroom. There was several hairs on the counters.

Easy checkin and convenient location

Property was nicely redone and clean but inadequately stocked for someone to take advantage of amenities. Gym didn’t have any weight training pnly aerobic. Nothing in kitchen provided worked. No laundry detergent on premises. No adequate supply of standard hotel toiletries.

Great staff and Management

Overall an ok stay. Everything was clean. However, the card readers on the door are old and tricky. The remote wasn’t in our room and we were offered one from another room. It didn’t work with our TV. The only vending machines in the building weren’t working. The shower sounded like a plane engine when running. The trash receptacles outside were overflowing. The breakfast started very early and ends early on a Sunday. Overall could use some work.

The breakfast buffet was a joke. It was prepackaged muffins, packets of out meal and granola bars. On the good side the bed was comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water.

My heat was broken and we had to use the burners on the stove to warm up. One night I asked for late checkout and that was fine....I made my stay longer after a change of plans and the following day I asked for late checkout and was charged.

Changed rooms 4 more times. 2nd room had a clean shower and 3 remotes, NONE of which operated the TV. 3rd room, no remote. 4th room, no remote, broken TV. The last room had a working TV and remote, clean shower. . .I had challenges with the heater, but it was after midnight, and I was exhausted. Andre at the front desk was patient and kept changing rooms for me until we got one. Location is 6 minutes from my destination, but my evening was FAR from convenient. Vending machines are modern and have a variety of choices for snacks and drinks.

Mr. Osei at the front desk is also very helpful in the early am. He makes sure breakfast is placed out on time and ready for the guest. One morning he went out his way to search for my favorite oatmeal while leaving out work. Thank you to the ESA staff

Nice sizable rooms and baths with kitchenettes

My door key card had to be re-coded every day, the only constant thing I noticed was a sign on the front desk saying WE WILL BE RIGHT BACK. I came in when the entry door was locked, I stood outside for 30 minutes before a customer opened the door, and finally about 5 minutes of waiting, the desk clerk came in as if just waking up, he re-coded my door key. As for the Free Breakfast, "fuget about it" your choice of mini blueberry muffins or oatmeal everyday. Oh yeah, no maid service for the 10 days

Staff needs to communicate better with housekeeping regarding checkouts.

Front desk is usually unattended after 5 pm.
