    The lobby was very cozy and inviting. The water and tea at the door was nice. Reception desk were very friendly and answered our questions. We used one of our $25.00 voucher the last night were there and had appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks. Appetizer was very good. We would definitely stay at Sheraton Hotels again

    Check in was easy, front desk staff very pleasant and the room (small suite) was spacious and I really liked the walk in shower. Vouchers were provided towards the dining room - and the breakfast buffet was a good variety of hot and cold items. Severs/staff in the restaurant were also pleasant. One area that needs improvement is the airport shuttle. The hotel should tell guests flying into Reagan exactly where to meet the driver (what door). I had to call the hotel for this information - when the driver arrived he drove right past the designated stop - I had to make another call to the hotel to tell the front desk this - only to be told they would call the driver - when the hotel called me back I was told the driver was waiting several doors down at another door. The shuttle driver was pleasant and helpful. The hotel is nicely located and all in all I had a good stay. A pool would be a major PLUS!

    Other aspects... toilet that didn't work regularly, bathroom door that stuck shut and required a handyman to attempt to repair it (good try for him, but the door was not installed properly, which seems odd for an older hotel). None of these issues was a big deal, and I would never have left this type of review because of that. Front desk check in was great, handled efficiently. Check out issue with notifying of the bedbug problem was poor. I am 25 nights away from being a lifetime platinum elite, so I have alot of experience with Marriott properties. I would have preferred to discuss this privately with the hotel management, but I've given them 2 opportunities to contact me. TBH this was the most disappointing experience I've had in over 23 years of being a Marriott Elite member.

    The only problem: when we checked in they said our room wasn't available because the carrier was still wet from being cleaned, and they tried to give us one with only 1 real bed (and a sofa bed) instead of the one we reserved with 2 real beds. Once we concluded the sofa bed was not going to be comfortable, we argued enough that they let us use the room type we'd reserved, but it was all very frustrating. Other than that it was a good stay, decent breakfast, nice hotel, great location

    Our stay at the Sheraton Old Town was nice. We were visiting for an overnight visit. Check in was smooth, except there was some $25 destination fee that was not mentioned when I booked. It was not a tax. Not sure what that was about. But the hotel did give us a $25 voucher for their restaurant/bar in return. The hotel was clean. We had a problem with our bathroom toilet running when we first checked in and they quickly changed our room for us. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel was walkable to King St. for evening dinner and entertainment and an easy drive into DC. Overall we had a nice stay.

    I have no choice but to conclude that Sheraton does not take any precautions to protect the health of staff and guests. For that reason, I will never stay at another Marriott property again (the parent company of Sheraton) - if they want guests who have an active infectious disease to stay at the hotel, what are the chances they effectively clean rooms after guests who are ill have left? I have zero faith now in their health standards for cleaning, food handling and preparation, interactions with guests, etc. I highly recommend that anyone considering this, or any other Marriott property, reconsider. There are plenty of other options, and it's not worth risking your health to stay at a Marriott property. Expedia said there wasn't anything they could do - it's up to the hotel - so I won't be using Expedia any longer either.

    The only thing that could make our stay better would be early morning coffee. The onsite restaurant did sell Starbucks coffee but opened up at 630 am Monday through Saturday and 700am on Sunday. We had to leave for an early flight on Sunday without coffee 😕.

    Great location that is walkable to restauaranta, etc. Nice spacious room with pleasant furnishings. $25/ voucher to use at the reatauarant which was nice. Signage to explain the breakfast buffet and/ or better explanation would be helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Was given the wrong room twice, and still didn’t get the room I paid for due to “an error in the system that didn’t show divided rooms”. Settled for a lesser room because I didn’t feel like changing after moving rooms twice. Front desk clerk was very nonchalant upon check in and when I told her I was given the wrong room. Another employee had to attempt to correct her mistakes.

Breakfast buffet was empty when we arrived and only limited options re-supplied. Again, the limited staff contributed to guests not knowing the breakfast procedures and slow service. The room was adequate, but not really comfortable.

    The parking is expensive, but that’s to be somewhat expected. We were in a suite and it was extremely small. It is the same size as a normal room, but split into two rooms. You have enough room to walk around the bed and that’s it. Also, a suite is for up to five people, but there is a king sized bed and a pull out sofa. There were also four total pillows in the room and no extra blankets or pillows for the pull out. If you’re in the bed, you have to give away two of your pillows, then what if there’s a fifth person? I requested more pillows and blankets and the front desk told me they were only allowed to give me two extra pillows and one blanket. I think this is strange. What am I going to do with extra pillows and blankets from the Sheraton in Alexandria. To me, a good hotel with great service asks you how many extra pillows and blankets you need, especially when they really aren’t extra and they’re for people in the room. So, one of my sons slept on the sofa cushions on the floor with no pillow and thank goodness he had his own blankets. My two other sons, 20 and 17, had to share a regular size blanket, not big enough to really share. The breakfast sandwich my husband got me from the restaurant was awesome—loved that. All in all it was a good visit and I think we would stay again, but I do think the need to ask for an exception to the pillow and blanket rule is a bit ridiculous.

What am I going to do with extra pillows and blankets from the Sheraton in Alexandria. To me, a good hotel with great service asks you how many extra pillows and blankets you need, especially when they really aren’t extra and they’re for people in the room. So, one of my sons slept on the sofa cushions on the floor with no pillow and thank goodness he had his own blankets. My two other sons, 20 and 17, had to share a regular size blanket, not big enough to really share. The breakfast sandwich my husband got me from the restaurant was awesome—loved that. All in all it was a good visit and I think we would stay again, but I do think the need to ask for an exception to the pillow and blanket rule is a bit ridiculous.

    Location. Bed comfy. Nice gym. Initial front desk agent rattled off a memorized speech about incidental charges and food coupons for the cafe that we “needed to use because we had already paid for them”. It felt like some sort of paid incentive trap/scam because many items were not included. Cafe hours were not posted in room or entryway. Room and hallways were not clean - dirty tissue on floors,finger print smudges on doors and cabinets, water stains on coffee table. No top sheet on bed, no caffeinated coffee in room, sign saying free bottled water but then a sticker saying $8 on lid of water bottle. Hotel toiletries smelled like diesel fumes. Saggy lounge/sofa with stains in room. Even this review scale is a fraud , it will probably post as a 4 out of 5 when it should be a 4 out of 10.

    I like where the hotel is located based on where we had to travel to. The food at the restaurant was good. The room was nice and spacious large bathroom, comfortable bed ,and love the sizes of the two TVs. Breakfast buffet was just OK. Wish there were other choices such as being able to make grits or waffles. Also, there was no microwave in the room. We were there to visit family however we could not bring any food back with us because there was no way to warm it up.

    I had a voucher for breakfast and the person working the buffet angrily wanted to know if I paid for my food. He made me feel like a criminal. I travel for work and have stayed at many hotels. This one I would not recommend. There are many others in the area.

    There was only one working eleavator to the room floors. My check-in was not the best. My first room was not what I reserved, then the second room the door wouldn't open due to a dead battery and the front desk clerk expected me to wait while they got someone to fix the issue (not acceptable at all). I let her know that was not acceptable and though she wasn't forthcoming about getting me another room, I let her know I would not accept waiting and I wanted another room. Finally the third room was what I reserved. I also asked for a discount since I was not happy about a check-in that should have been at most 10 minutes that ended up taking more than and close to 40 minutes. I am still waiting on a discount for a future stay. I would definitely choose the hotel again as it is in a great location. There needs to be additional training at the front desk when a customer is having check-in issues. After I finally got checked in up until my departure it was a great time and the children enjoyed themselves as well.

    The 32 dollars per night parking was a bit expensive. I believe they need to change the process for leaving the parking lot once your stay is over. We had to push a button to call the service desk at the gate for them to let us out. It would be simpler to allow the person to keep the key and drop it off at the gate instead of having to call into the desk to have them let you out.

    This year, my room had ants by the bathroom sink, dusty towels, and hair on the pillows and sheets. I did mention the ants, but I didn’t mention the other things since I was just in the room long enough to eat and sleep for a few days and it seemed kind of silly to complain about. It did end up making me uncomfortable though.

    Pleasantly surprised with my stay here at this hotel. I could not reserve a room at the Gaylord Convention Center, so I had to look at neighboring options. They have a free shuttle back and forth to the DC airport, which is convenient!! There’s a Harris Teeter grocery store next door, and the neighborhood is very safe. I highly recommend the Sheraton Suites!

    The room had a musty/mold smell. The first couple of nights we woke with respiratory heaviness. The air filter on hvac was caked with dust and mold from a/c dripping on it . We tried to change rooms but front desk said we needed to talk to manager who never responded. We were in a Confrence all day and gone when we returned. The air filters have never been changed , dust around all vent openings as well . If you want to get sick stay here .

    The location was perfect for our trip and so close to the airport and restaurants. The front desk staff made us feel welcome. The carpet in the hallways made pulling our luggage a bit of a chore, and the self-parking is better suited for smaller or average sized cars, but everything else was great.

    We found the staff(especially Camille and Maide ) very accommodating and friendly. Very knowledgeable of good restaurants to eat at. The shuttle driver treated the passengers like VIPs. He would bring down the step stool to assist the passengers getting up/off the shuttle everytime. The maintenance people were quick to fix the drain issue in the bathroom. Cookies and fruits were available everyday as snacks for free. The layout of the lobby and outside courtyard were superbly done where guests could sit and enjoy their own privacy.Truly we found a gem of a hotel. We will definitely be back when in the area.

    I love this hotel. It's expensive for my budget, but it's beautiful, clean, comfortable, with great staff. The pictures are accurate. Lovely furnishings, smartly appointed, great shower. The location is wonderful (especially if you are staying in Old Town). The only defect is parking. As a Midwesterner, i hate paying for parking.

    The Sheraton is in North Old Town, and is super convenient to everything. It’s a short walk to the restaurants and shops of King Street, but there are lots of amazing dining options nearby too. The property is very modern and there is underground parking. I will definitely be back!

    It was a nice room, but small for a suite. I got the studio suite and I found it claustrophobic. I actually ran into the couch with my backside as I entered the room with my luggage since it was so close to the door. I enjoyed that the living area was separate from the sleeping area and the room darkness was great (with the exception of the green TV light blinking at me). The AC was insufficient and weak so I was hot most of the night, which I didn't like. There is a thermostat where you have the illusion that you can control the AC, but it was so ineffective like it was malfunctioning. I got in around 2 am, so I upset but too tired to care. The shower was nice and the water pressure was not as good as my house, so if you have long thick hair you may be rinsing for a while. The bedcovers are weirdly designed, uncomfortable, and seemed connected to the sheets...? I could smell the previous person on the bedcover so I tried to separate it from the sheet so I could use the sheet alone but it was stuck in the weird duvet-ish cover so I had to deal with the stranger's funk on the blanket right near my face which made sleeping more difficult. Beautiful location though and the ride back to the airport was lovely. They offer a friendly shuttle service and a great looking menu of to-go breakfasts for purchase on the way to the airport. It's also about 10 minutes away from the DCA. The price wasn't worth what they were offering for such a small room.

    This stay was our second time at this hotel. It was ruined from the start. Upon arrival we were charged twice for our room (accident by a clearly newer staff member, no worries, things happen) which was deducted and never acknowledged by the staff in the morning. When we got into our room at 11:30pm, it had a dank and moldy smell. My son instantly had a sneezing/allergy fit and reaction. Due to the lack of knowledge on the person that checked in, we didn’t want to confront him because we were unsure he would actually be able to help. In addition, our 5&2 year old children were extremely tired after long hours of travel and due to the late hour of our arrival. Our tub’s water was pooling to the point of it almost being a bath, which we mentioned to the front desk and were told it would be fixed, it never was. It’s pretty disappointing that after the front desk was made aware of this, they told us they couldn’t credit or refund anything due to it being booked through “Expedia, a third party”? Expedia is a client of theirs that clearly helps with the promotion of their hotel, in addition to the fact that it was indeed the hotel and not Expedia that cause the issue. The air quality alone should have been a cause for concern but clearly, we were not valued as paying clients. It’ll remain to be seen as to if we are refunded for the double charge. I would think an almost allergy/asthma attack and poor water conditions would be enough to take action. Disappointing experience

    We enjoyed our stay. The only time we were disappointed was on the last day staff came to clean the room and did not knock first just unlocked and was ready to come. The person was apologetic though. Otherwise everyone was very welcoming and respectful. We appreciated the shuttle service to and from the airport.     Air conditioner did not cool room down, one of the 2 elevators were broken so everyone had to use 1 functioning elevator. Also the elevator that goes down to the parking garage was down one day. I am a lifetime gold Marriott member I will be changing to Hilton, I was in town for sons wedding and we could not get cooled down coming back to the hotel.

    It is in a superb location right across from my offices. The major downturn in the property is a horrible "IKEA" remodel. Sheraton is not alone...I now tend to stay in Airbnbs as they have some charm and personality. Most of the hotel remodels today are very bland and utilitarian in design...this is across the country.

    One of the elevators was constantly broken leading to 10-15 minute waits to go up and down. Stairs were alarmed so could not take those. Also, front desk staff had a terrible time explaining things like how to get to the Metro, which should have been routine and easy. I will say that Muhammed was absolutely solid and helpful. Unlike other front desk personnel.
